This seems more like a homeless awareness article than about Satoshi.  Actually a clever way to call out to techies in SF to look around and be aware of the homeless, it might be Satoshi. It is true that only a small fraction of people in San Francisco notice the homeless - same goes for Seattle and Portland.  I don't see the article as trolling rather it is satire addressing the homeless mess.

You never know they are a lot of theories who Satoshi Nakamoto is.
We don't know his lifestyle so we don't know if he is doing well or not.

I think it's just satire about Wired releasing the story of Craig Wright being Satoshi, and in general newspapers claiming they've found satoshi and repeatedly screwing up on their so called investigations. They will never learn, so I can't wait to see who satoshi is in 2016.

That is really weird and people still thinking Satoshi is a person but i don't think he is a single person, from my point of view Satoshi is code name for this project and a group of scientists behind the this revolutionary project.

there are way too many stories out there about satoshi. Personally i believe that he died, otherwise he was bound to show himself atleast once in the last couple years, maybe even log into his forum account to show that he exists.

can't because theymos locked it. he'll have to PM theymos with PGP message to get it back.

and yes, there's too many stories about satoshi and many more will pop out once bitcoin is more well known. and only satoshi can stop it.

Everyone (normal people) is happy in wondering what make him/her happy. The author of this article have pleasure to wonder such situation for the revolutionary man who hold 1 million satoshi. Thinking that with way of "building" his article will be able to help the people of the road. Strange connection and I cannot find the help given to the people to whom is dedicated. Maybe the author of the article have this point of view about its article and the help given by it but this point of view cannot arrive at me. Maybe is a not normal reasonable joke. A simple reader of his article. And if it is so ever with to many others.....

Was he homeless when he created BTC or did he becomes homeless when he saw what BTC turned into or because he lost control of their coins and became mad by the get rich opportunity missed?

neither.. its a duff story..

but the story says they found someone who was homeless in 2007 (2 years before the first block was mined)

funny but obvious satire and fantasy

yeah right the first is not expandable, so they should ask for the second block, which i'm sure still belongs to satoshi
again blocks dont sign... transaction ADDRESSES do
EG
first ADDRESS ever:
12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX

this https://blockchain.info/block-height/1 cannot sign
this https://blockchain.info/block-height/1 cannot sign

this 12c6DSiU4Rq3P4ZxziKxzrL5LmMBrzjrJX can

so if they said 'satoshi' signed the first transaction address.. then they would atleast smell like they know something

they claim they have the genesis block signed, well were is the sign? they wil not show to us right? as usual

the genesis block is a block not a transaction. its a special block.. not a transaction/address
the coins are not spendable because there is no way to sign a transaction/address because as i said there is no transaction/address.. its a block

no ability to sign a "block" means no ability to sign a message either

(sarcasm) but i guess anything is possible if a homeless person has no issue getting on the internet everyday.. maybe the bigger news is showing how everyone can be on the internet for free without issue

Well, you're a little unfair because they actually did show it to us, back on November 30, 2017. Now the problem is that because of several interferences in the space-time continuum we can't see it anymore, but there it was, I can assure you.
