it shows how little i know about bitcoin. i didn't know blockchain didn't actually started with satoshi but i guess he introduces it all. did satoshi claim he created it or had created a new better one. i don't know the point of this thread though. Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta can take a credit of what they've come up in the publication of it so it good.

You should consider editing your topic to: Blockchain wasn't created by Satoshi" Satoshi actually created a fully a fully decentralized digital currency known as bitcoin which is the first of its kind in the human history overcoming the long aged Byzantine problem.

Gotta say that Satoshi wasn't created by blockchain obviously... But if you will search it online, almost all article says it was Satoshi Nakamoto's invention. Just like what op is saying, others say that he just developed it. In fact, there are references in the whitepaper where he used it as a basis in creating bitcoin. He cannot create something out of nothing. He never said it was his creation, people just misunderstood it since the word 'blockchain' wasn't existing before it.

A decade of not knowing who created the Bitcoin.     October 31st marks the day when the world of centralized currency was shaken by the advent of a phenomenon called ‘Bitcoin.’ But why is Bitcoin a phenomenon? Since the Bitcoin white paper was published on this day in 2008, it set the momentum for the transition to a new world economic order, and we would like to take a moment to thank its creator — Satoshi Nakamoto---- To Know More Visit Cryptoknowmics.

"the world of centralized currency was shaken"
nah. id say it was around 2011 before the "WORLD" even got a rattle of what bitcoin was. and that was more to do with silkroad dealing drugs than it was about explaining the potential of what bitcoin could offer

i love bitcoin, but sometimes some people like to romance things a little too much and kiss ass even more.

This is true, there is no love story behind bitcoin, there is no romance and there were not governments shaking. At that moment governments give zero fuck about bitcoin. Now they are curious about bitcoin and other criptos but they are not shaking. They can decide it's illegal and ban it from the country, so bitcoin is shaking about govs and not govs about bitcoin.

You should rephrase your title because it sounds confusing. However, it's the first time that I have heard about that story. You should have provided a proof so we will be able to know if it's real or just a myth. Without any definite proof, Satoshi will always be the creator of the blockchain technology despite his anonymity.

I was confused with your title. It says blockchain did not create Satoshi. Well how can a technology create a human person. That was funny I guess just like the previous comments you need to change the title to avoid confusion.
Well it is clear that satoshi did not create blockchain technology since it was not attributed to him. What satoshi created was a by product of that technology and that is bitcoin. Even though he is not the inventor of blockchain but he is the one who popularized this technology through bitcoin and thus the technology became known in the world.

Very well said, but let's focus on the topic itself, basically, what we can gather here is the knowledge that satoshi nakamoto isn't the one who first created the blockchain. But what is it's implications? We can think that since blockchain isn't created by him, we can jump into the analogy that, technologies created by others will be a great factor to consider in build what we plan to reach its ultimate success. Don't be afraid and always think not to rely only on yourselves but to trust others as well.

satoshi didn't creat blockchain, because blockchain was created 17 years before Bitcoin was born. and with name Time-stamp. time-stamp was created in 1991 by Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta. but not adopted en masse. because it has a common problem of byzantium. and in 2008 satoshi solved this problem with alternative solutions. namely through proof-of-work created by Satoshi, then Bitcoin was born as a verification tool on the blockchain. so make no mistake. satoshi is not creator of the blockchain. but only perfecting time-stamps (now blockchain) that have common problems and solve them with bitcoin.

The title of your post is very misleading. Anyway thanks for this enlightenment, but what you should understand is that Satoshi solved the challenge the pioneers of blockchain  were facing. Moreover Satoshi blockchain is no way similar to the initial idea of what time-stamp was intend to be. Blockchain was based on the idea of peer to peer connection between computers on the torrent network.

That's true, blockchain/timestamp technology was invented in 2002 and was thought of and there where earlier variants that went back to as early as 1990.

Blockchain didn't make Bitcoin, there are lots of other features which helped it grow into the top crypto-currency, and bring the crypto market to our current place - a lot of it was due to decentralization.

blockchain wasnt even a word in 1990-2007

so I hope it's not wrong if I make a statement that "satoshi perfects the time-stamp" and becomes a blockchain. because in my opinion the time-stamp is a part of the blockchain that is delayed and then continued and perfected by satoshi. (refine if my explanation is wrong)

karl benz didnt perfect the wheelbarrow and called it a car.
a wheelbarrow is not a car
a car was not invented at the same time as a wheelbarrow

a wheelbarrow was the first wheeled vehicle that could transport people/goods (farmers put sick/disabled/young into wheelbarrows to save having to carry them over shoulder)
a horse drawn cart next evolved from a wheelbarrow, but a horse drawn cart is not a wheelbarrow
a wheelchair got inspiration from a wheelbarrow. but a wheelchair is not a wheelbarrow

the word blockchain was never used until satoshi named it so
a car came hundreds of years after a wheelbarrow
a car was never used until the first car was made

satoshi took idea's of timestamp, took ideas of hashcash, tool idea's of data distribution. welded them togethr and created a whole new product

you cant say a cake is a perfection of a x0,000 year old product called an egg
the first cake maker did not perfect an egg. he used egg, wheat, butter and water.
water is not a cake
wheat is not a cake
butter is not a cake
eggs are not a cake

namely through proof-of-work created by Satosh

Wrong, proof of work was first described in 1993, and the algorithm used by Bitcoin was created in 1997 by Adam Back, who later became active in Bitcoin community and is the founder and CEO of Blockstream.

As for timestamping, the concept of it was known for centuries or even millennia. What you are referring to when you talk about Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta is a data structure that utilizes timestamping and cryptography to achieve immutability. It's an important predecessor of Satoshi's blockchain, but it's not the same.

Maybe if you didn't write this thread I think Satoshi Nakamoto was the inventor of the blockchain technology and it turned out that the inventor of the blockchain technology was Stuart Haber and W. Scott Stornetta but satoshi continued the delayed blockchain by giving birth to bitcoin as a solution to the problem, but Satoshi Nakamoto was the one who popularized this blockchain technology by creating Bitcoin as a blockchain verification tool.

True, he did not create it from scratch, but he figured out how to make it work, so I think that he still deserves some credit for that. He also didn't invent digital money, but he did create a way for it to work, and it still works almost 11 years after the fact.

blockchain is NOT timstamp
timestamp is just one subfeature of blockchain. as you very well point out. the main top feature of blockchain is the solution to the byzantine generals problem
satoshi even referenced that time stamp was PART of blockchain... but that does not man timestamp was fully solely a blockchain

whats next say that google invented bitcoin because bitcoin used googles datastorage structure.

what the best description would be is that many different features which alone failed th security model that blockchains have, were patchworked together elegantly by satoshi seeing the big picture and it was the combined culmination of it all that made blockchain a masterpiece.

EG a car was not invented 1000 years ago because some cave dweller made a wheel. instead some genius put a wheel, an engine and some seats together in such a unique way that it changed the whole concept of transportation.

Don't know what your beef is OP but satoshi never claimed to create blockchain, and all the information you already shared is known by all. As you say, and as is pointed out in the first page of the bitcoin whitepaper, he solves the double-spend problem with a trustless mechanism (as you say, the byzantium general problem).

So what else is new?
nothing new guys .. this is just a simple explanation for someone who is looking for who is the creator of the blockchain and bitcoin, maybe my post is not detailed so it's hard to understand. but in essence is satoshi continuing the delayed blockchain and giving birth to bitcoin as a solution to the problem.

i wouldn't be so sure about that!
every now and then someone starts a new topic calling bitcoin the "first" and then clamming it is only successful only because it i was first. that proves people have no idea about the bitcoin's pre-history and the other attempts at creating similar things at a much smaller scale.
