They must have stretched the hell out of them since they are only 1/2 oz of silver, unless the inside is silver and the outer rim is some sort of alloy.

correct the inner is silver the outer part of the coin is brass.

Thx Mopar for confirmation, makes sense.

Just got back from my ICG trip this morning and unfortunately these coins are too large for the ICG slab/holder.
Not sure if PCGS or NGC would grade these?.... has anyone else sent some into these two companies?
They would look nice slabbed Cheesy

Are they too big diameter-wise and/or thickness?

after comparing mine to a slabbed coin from icg - it appears diameter wise.

yes, correct...they are just over the limit for slabs

to clarify the package that I received had zero damage and the coins were already in airtites and were in tubes that had foam packed in the tube and the tubes taped shut so there was zero movement possible in shipping.

I would state that I agree with this as a mint issue especially as this extends beyond the coins that came from me - even the coin that came from Elias that was sent to minerjones exhibited a similar condition.

Yeah mine were not that bad, thanks again man! Smiley

I have spoken to the maker - they can view here but cannot comment as they do not yet have an account - they plan to create one but did not want to delay responding.

Hey guys, this is Patrick! First and foremost I really want to thank you all for helping support this project. It has been a huge learning curve, and I still have much to learn. For anyone who is willing to help me out, I will return the favor.

First of all anyone who has a damaged coin I am so sorry. This is not something that should’ve happened considering the care that I took during construction and shipping. There are also several quality checks that’s done with Sunshine Mint who makes out coins so it should’ve been fine there as well.

Regardless of how it happened, if you are receiving damaged Coins through Mopar, that’s some thing I want to fix moving forward. Anyone who takes a picture of their coin and submit it to me with what the damage is, and a suggestion, for what could’ve made it better for shipping will receive half of their money back by bitcoin. Anyone through Mopars group who wants their money back can ship it back to Mopar and get a full refund.

I humbly ask you guys help me become a lot better at this because I’m not planning to stop creating. As a matter of fact, the plan is to do a whole lot more going forward in much bigger ways!

I appreciate you guys being willing to help me, I will do right by every person who purchase a coin. FYI, if the box was damaged and it was done during shipping, it is Fully insured.

You guys here are the OG’s of the space and I thank you for helping me raise my own bar quickly!

Feel free to reach me personally [email protected]

Solid response. I'm not about to make him give me any money back or anything, I still think it's a cool coin, just surprised they didn't get ahead of it sooner especially since it seems like multiple people had the same issue. Also not about to return the coin either. Was more just curious. I'd assume most of the fault lies with the mint. Not exactly the type of damage that seems like it'd happen in shipping.

Well that is a constructive way to handle this, imo.
Shit happens. In the end of the day, what matters is how you fix the shit.

Example of why grading is important and serves a purpose, “rough coin from the mint? Then rough grade from the grader.” Sad

Just curious, has anyone reached out to the folks who made these coins to ask em tf the deal is with the quality issues? The more I look at it the more pissed off I get lmao. End of the day, it is what it is, but mostly curious if anyone has heard anything from them.

I will bring it up with them - even though I only facilitated the group buy, I do apologize. As far as I know the creator is seeing these posts so they may also chime in.

Another guy I know who bought off the site before they sold out got his yesterday.

He sent me some pics showing they had some damage on the rim area(s). Has anyone else seen this?

Edit, he's not very happy about it.  Cry

Mine has the same thing in the same area, though mine doesn't look quite as bad. Little bit "chewed up" looking around the top side, though mine is only on the back (sticker) side. Will snag some pictures later. I'm guessing it happened during manufacturing.

Edit: my coin is number 274

Double edit: pictures attached, took one of the front as well so yall could see that it wasn't as bad as the back is

Oh that's ugly. In the picture I see consecutive coins, #752 and #753 - do you know if that's all chips he ordered or if there were any others not affected by these damages?
Anyone else check their coins and can report here if either damaged or undamaged?

I did not open any of the capsules to see the edges - I really hope that the bulk of these coins are not damaged - especially at the price people paid.
