Al Hilal is at the top of the points table and so far they have won 10 out of their 12 matches (2 matches ended in draw). But now they are being faced with a few challenges. All of a sudden Neymar has gone AWOL and this will definitely impact their performance as well as team morale. They do have star players such as Sergej Milinković-Savić and Rúben Neves, but the absence of Neymar will have an impact on the overall team strategy. And Al Taawoun is a very strong side. They are at the 4th place in the points table right now.
Al Hilal is unbeaten and currently tops the standings by collecting 32 points, a difference of 4 points with Al Nassr who is in second place in the standings. I think Al Nassr is their strong competitor this season, Ronaldo is slowly doing his job well. On the other hand even though Neymar is injured, I think his team will not decline in performance because we have seen that they have played well in several matches.
However in the long term, when competition continues to increase Neymar is a figure that the team really needs. Because after all his role is really needed to make Al Hilal consistently achieve points.
The match against Al Taawon in the next few hours will not make Al Hilal lose points, I really understand that Al Taawon is playing quite well this season. However on paper Al Hilal is still too strong for them to beat let alone act as hosts.
