Since they signed Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United during the January transfer window, the Saudi Arabian League officials has hugely invested in football in the country by signing so many other big Europeans players. They paid for all these huge signings just to improve the quality of the league and as well draw more global audience. The Saudi League is now watched by millions of people around the world and yesterday, FIFA officially awarded the FIFA World Cup 2034 to them. Despite calls from most of the European countries to FIFA not allow the world cup hosted in an Islamic country. Congratulations to the people of Saudi Arabia.
With the presence of one man, alot of things have changed and a great deal of improvement have taken place. Cristiano Ronaldo open the path for influential Saudi Arabian to witness and they have developed interest in going for European players. Saudi Arabian clubs were leading when it comes to the club's that have made massive signings from the system. SPL have also capture the attention of football lovers in Europe and some have started watching SPL games and also picks interests about the fundamental information evolving round SPL competition.

Al-Ittihad continued the 12th match today against Al-Shabab and Al-Ittihad conceded first in the first half, as we know Al-Ittihad has recorded bad results in the last 4 matches without a win. I do not understand what happened to this team, even though at the beginning they were predicted to be the main competitors to win the title but what happens is the opposite Al-Ittihad is only ranked 6th and it seems difficult to compete in the standings. What do you think, can Al-Ittihad return to the track?
Currently we are in at half-time of the match with Al Ittihad is trailing by one goal and this could be fifth match without any win which bring them 10th spot from the top which is surely serious problem for them in presence of many star players Kante, Karim Benzema and Felipe are in ground for the Al Ittihad but still things are going from bad to worse for the defending champions if we have nothing positive in this match for them most chances their chances for the staying at the top could be ended and their difference of points from leader could be 11 points which is clearly not easy to cut with Al Nassr and few other clubs are also doing impressive and most chances they could be not allowed to them for having anything positive in this season despite having huge investments on big names from soccer world.

It was quite surprising to learn that Al Ittihad experienced a decline like this because after all, I also thought that Al Ittihad would still be in contention for the title this season. But what happened was that teams like Al Taawon and Al Fateh managed to improve at this moment and in this way, it seems like I personally will start to doubt Al Ittihad quality this season. Because after all, teams like Al Hilal and Al Nassr seem to be more consistent in getting good results in every match at the moment. Also regarding the match currently underway, it seems like Al Ittihad doesn't have a big chance of winning and maybe, the final result in this match could be a draw, who knows.

The growth is great for them football is for everyone and not alone for European football. Ronaldo has a great influence and will forever be remembered in Saudi league how his move caused the tremendous rise and movement of players from Europe to Saudi Premier league. They have the money and resources now they can start bringing other big commentators to influence that league.
Ronaldo hands also stretched with binance using him as the ambassador to advertise about their events. Most of European football rejected him now he has helped remove all of their best names out gradually.

Mane doesn't need to really get that much attention, he is playing for the money just like all the other players that came to this league, he is making more money than he probably did all his life, and he is winning, that is all a player would ever want for. He is making so much money that he doesn't need even any endorsement or sponsorship deals neither, just his salary is enough to be the highest he has ever earned, in fact more than all his salaries combined so far in his life.

So he could just ignore all the lack of media attention, not like it would bring in anything fun for him neither, why would anyone want some unnecessary media attention, it's good that he is doing fine right now and should be happy that he is at a club that allows him to play very well against weaker opponents and just have fun. This is basically football back to basics, just having fun, no pressure, no trouble, just like how kids are playing at the streets, for fun.

I think the match that might be a little more interesting today is the Al-Hilal vs Al-Fateh match. Because currently Al-Fateh is surprisingly ranked 4th. Which means Al-Fateh has succeeded in overtaking Al-Ettifaq, Al-ahli and Al-ittihad, which in fact, in terms of strength, these three clubs are much stronger than al-Fateh.

I wonder if Al-Hilal will be able to beat Al-Fateh like Al-Nassr and Al-Ittihad who also managed to beat Al-Fateh very well. Or Al-hilal will actually suffer the same fate as Al-Ettifaq and Al-Ahli who suffered a very embarrassing defeat by Al-Fateh. I can't wait to watch this match.

The match has just ended and Al-Hilal won with a fairly convincing score of 0-2. Even though Al-Fateh had to concede first through a quick goal scored by Mitrovic from the penalty spot, this did not make Al-Fateh afraid. It was proven that after the first goal, Al-Fateh did not concede again for 90 minutes and they defended well. However, approaching the minute of injury time, they finally had to accept conceding again and this time it was Al Dawsaari's turn to score the second goal for Al-Hilal. This result is very good for Al-Hilal and they are increasingly widening the gap from their competitors.

Ronaldo's impact was enormous in building Saudi football, we realize that he opened the door for players from leagues in Europe to go to the SPL. Now it has been proven that their investment is working more than expected, attracting the attention of football fans around the world, and with the appointment of Saudi as host of the 2034 World Cup it will be the peak of everyone attention.

Everything is just making more sense in the Asian world as an entirety and Saudi Pro League to be precise since they had that laudable decision to bring Cristiano Ronaldo to the league. Seems like a planned idea to shift the world's football attention to the country. FIFA has also taken another laudable decision in support of the Saudi Arabia which makes them the hosts of the next 2034 FIFA World Cup after the recent 22 FIFA World Cup hosted by Qatar.

Looks like a well executed plan to have subsequently opened its windows to other star players like Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, Neymar Jr amongst other big names that have made it to the Ballon D'or ranking. By the time you factor in all these efforts, you will acknowledge the effort the country is putting to their league. After the transfer windows were closed, we had a total sum of 800 million dollars spent on transfer of players by the clubs in the league. Incredible.

I suspect this has to do with the fact that everyone knows the Saudi Pro League is signing many former world stars who are now in the midst or at the end of their decline. It is like buying an empty shell. They are buying the names, but not the quality that the people loved these players for. Names aren't worthless though and yes they have some influence in the world of soccer, but when a soccer enthusiast has to choose between watching a game with Mbappe in Europe or watching a game with Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia, I am quite sure what the answer would be for the overwhelming majority.

Well I am finding it difficult to distinguish between the name and the quality. I suppose it is the quality of the players that determines the name they have made and it is something that have been gotten over time. The truth is that, it is not going to be easy for the league to get that performance and credibility like the European leagues. It is a gradual process though. If the league can consistently bring in more star players and upcoming young players, it will grow their fan base.

Lastly, I believe the Saudi Arabia FIFA World Cup will add more spices to the cake since that will be another avenue for them to promote the country.

I will not blame Al Hilal for signing Neymar, but did they not consider beforehand that this player has a history of recurring injuries? This should have been their consideration from the start, because after all it will hurt them when after spending a lot of money, but the player cannot play and contribute to the team, especially since his injury is expected to take a very long time even until the end of this season.
Al Hilal have taken that risk from the start, and they should be able to accept it when it comes now.
That's right, Al Hilal was ready for all the risks when they decided to recruit Neymar from PSG, even though now they have to accept the reality of losing their star for a long period of time.  Talking about financial losses, it seems like this won't give them a headache, because we know they have a fairly large budget.  On the other hand, Neymar will be absent from all competitions at both club and national team level, it would be quite a shame to see his career constantly struggling with injuries.

Al Hilal is still fine even though Neymar didn't do anything, it is evident that they are still at the top of the SPL standings at the moment.  However, the attraction of fans has been reduced due to the injury of their star, I think the January transfer market will be the right step to recruit new stars so that fans will be enthusiastic about supporting them again.

Yes, it should be, and I agree with you about the financial loss they have incurred. I don't think it's a big deal with their good financial condition. I don't think it's even close to what they spent in the transfer market.
Maybe as a club there will be disappointment, but again I say he is a player who has a history of frequent injuries, so the risk should have been taken from the beginning, even before they decided to sign Neymar.
On the other hand, Neymar must not want to experience something like this, but what can be made because he is also often sidelined due to injury.

It cannot be denied that the Arab Saudi League is in the world media spotlight because of the arrival of top European club players, such as Ronaldo and Neymar. It is true, these soccer stars from top European clubs have a huge influence in the world of soccer. So it is not surprising that the name of the Saudi Arabian football league is increasingly popular in the world media because it is able to bring in many great players from top European clubs.

But even so, after the excitement about the Saudi Arabian League transfer market news that occurred in the last few months. It turns out that what I read on one of the news sites was that the interest of football fans in Saudi Arabia did not experience a big increase when clubs from Saudi Arabia succeeded in bringing in many football stars from Europe. In essence, not many football fans in Saudi Arabia come to the field to watch the match live.

Maybe this is all because the revolution carried out by Saudi Arabian clubs is still new. So football fans in Saudi Arabia have not been able to enjoy it properly.

I mean seeing how 2034 world cup will be held at Saudi Arabia by the looks of it (albeit they were literally the only one who submitted an offer) I think its quite obvious to state that Ronaldo was the first move towards that desire. We all know that in 2034 Ronaldo will not be playing, but since he got here, he has paved the way for a lot more players to come here, and even after he retires, I am sure that the way he brought this leagues fame level higher will allow Saudi Arabia to continue signing more players. They are overspending currently, but with more and more talent here, there will be a lot of players who will sign at market value to show their talents and use them as stepping stone for a better league.
The impact made by Cristiano Ronaldo is quite real and this could be an extraordinary thing for Saudi Arabia to continue to develop football in their country. The 2034 World Cup is a very special thing for Saudi Arabia and also the Saudi League because of course they will get more and more attention in the future until this world cup event takes place. After Cristiano Ronaldo retires he will probably still be in Saudi Arabia until the world cup comes and surely Saudi Arabia will invest a lot of money to sign him to be an important part in this big campaign. The young talents coming to this country to give good performances will also be an interesting thing for everyone to start watching football here.
One huge factor that's significantly improved the value of football in Saudi Arabia is the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo joined their league during in the January transfer window.  Before he joined them, the Saudi League was rarely heard from people outside the country but since his arrival in the country, the league has significantly gained global audience which was one of the reasons why other big European based players later joined the league to further improve the quality of football in the country.
Saudi Arabia was recently awarded the right to host the 2034 World Cup by football world governing body FIFA and I think Ronaldo deserves praises for his impact to football in the middle East nation

The Saudi Professional League is a more important team in the media, but I don't know whether the audience in general increased or the number of viewers. I never watch a whole game from the league, but I read about it sometimes to stay up to date about what is happening with Ronaldo, Neymar, Benzema and some others, but I would never pay for a subscription or anything to watch the games live. I agree that awareness has been raised due to Ronaldo's arrival there, but are more people watching the games than before? Probably a few, but I doubt that the numbers skyrocketed.

Hilal is leading the game right now. 64 minutes have passed and we are heading toward the late game. Al fateh has made many shoots but these shots are only inaccurate shoots while al hilal has made so many golden chance against al fateh. It's likely fateh will be losing with narrow score against al hilal. Thanks for mitrovic by scoring the first goal through penalty. This guy deserves to be the best striker for this season in saudi pro league. Mitrovic is now competing with ronaldo but mitrovic keeps add as many goals as possible. The competition to become the top scorer is very strict this time. In another match, al feihaa surprisingly losing a lot of goals against al ta'eee which is placed at 11th.

Al hilal keeps continue in making regular attack toward al fateh's goal keeper. There are so many brilliant saves being made by fateh's goal keeper. I think that al hilal is probably winning the game now.
Al hilal's defenders were got two yellow cards.

The aggressive way the Saudi Arabian League has been signing players like Cristiano Ronaldo has definitely raised its standing. They had the nerve to bring in big European names, which not only improved the level but also got more people around the world to watch. There have been stories going around that this is just the start. After their recent wins, Al Nassr may be ready to go after another star player: Kevin De Bruyne. It would be a big deal if this move came together. I really hope this report is true because Ronaldo and De Bruyne playing together would be amazing. Congrats to Saudi Arabia on winning the World Cup, even though some people in politics didnt want them to. I really admire their journey!

The transfer market next January will make it a headache for clubs in the European League to retain their respective players. There will be more offers coming in for every player to join the SPL, not just De Bruyne, Salah is reportedly also among their targets. Of course, one day sooner or later the SPL will become a strong competitor to the top five European leagues.

I hope we all have a long life and I hope we can still discuss here about this even in the next 10 years. Because honestly, only here I can chat about Arab football. I hope this forum still exists and remains busy for the next 10 years.

Well, the quality of the game of local players from here is also increasing. Because they train more with European star players. And they can take many lessons from these European star players. For example, the local players at Al-Nassr currently also look very different from last season. Their playing patterns become more like European players. I like this. Well, watching the SPL is like watching the European league. And maybe in the next 10 years Arab football will really be more advanced and more respected.
insya Allah, we will all be given a long life and the most important thing is that we will always have good health.

Maybe I will understand the increase that occurred in clubs that bought a lot of European players in the transfer market yesterday, such as Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, Al-ittihad, Al-Nassr and Al-ettifaq. But I was more surprised by the performance of other clubs in the Saudi Pro League who didn't even transfer many players from Europe. Yes, they transfer European players, but not European star players like those bought by the 5 clubs I mentioned above. Clubs such as Al-Taawoun, Al-Fateh and Al-Feiha. Even Abha, who almost entered the relegation zone, can always make strong clubs quite overwhelmed when facing them.

I think other Arab clubs are really starting to become more competitive and improving a lot. Although they don't make many expensive player transfers from Europe. But in reality they can adapt and sometimes match the big clubs owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF)

Unfortunately that will still be 10 years from now. But I can't wait for it. And I think there will be more interesting things from the Arab league. In fact, I feel that in the next transfer market one of the Arab clubs will again succeed in recruiting another top European player. And currently the SPL has become one of the leagues that is widely broadcast in more than 30 countries (sorry if I'm wrong, but I've read the news).

And now actually when I watch matches in the SPL and in other European leagues I feel nothing is different. Well, this means that the quality of matches in the SPL has really improved a lot. And I'm sure that now we no longer feel bored when watching SPL matches, especially after the arrival of many European star players this season.
But old enough I waited those 10 years. Cheesy
I admit that even though some European clubs do not agree if it is held in an Islamic country, in fact, as you said, there is no difference between matches in the Saudi Pro League and matches in european clubs which currently have very large audiences after many European star players came to Saudi Arabia and the potential to be part of the biggest league seems real and maybe the next 10 years the Saudi Pro League will really be bigger with many European players coming here.
