When Al Hilal signed Neymar, they were actually gambling, because we know his injury record is so frequent. Indeed, we do not deny that when he returned from injury, his performance did not experience a significant decline. But of course that cannot be used as justification when he has to rest long. If his injury takes 9 months to return, then he has missed a lot of matches, or even the same he has to be sidelined for the whole season.
Injuries are unpredictable, but with his record of being injured so often, it should also be a consideration for the club before signing him.
They knew he easily gets injured, maybe it is why some other European clubs were not too interested in signing him, but Al Hilal sure did not care about it too much because they signed Neymar for more than the benefit he can bring while he plays, they also signed him for when he is not playing. Just having the name Neymar associated with the club, improves the status of the club and the league. Al Hilal are first on the table and can maintain it if they can continue to win games which they can do. The next game they will play will be against Al Khaleej who are eleventh on the league and should not be too much problem for them to win.
No matter how much money a club has they will never buy a big player in Europe just to make a name for themselves but they must have a purpose behind buying that big player. Their fierce rivals Al Nasser have Cristiano Ronaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo has undoubtedly boosted their club's strength and they brought Neymar to the club for a hefty fee to fight Cristiano Ronaldo's club Al Nasser. There was a possibility that Neymar could get injured but there was no guarantee that he would get injured after signing with a new club in Saudi Arabia. It was thought that he would be able to defend himself enough in the Saudi league and stay injury free but that was not the case, he was sidelined for almost an entire season while playing for his country.

That's how the professional league is definitely getting better and it also has a lot of potential. Of course, the young players are still not going to go for Saudi League instead of Europe. Because right now Europe holds the most amount of glory for any footballer.  That's why a young player is obviously going to choose any big club from Europe 100% of the time instead of the Saudi League.

However if the Saudi league can actually get themselves to somehow be involved with the Champions League competition, maybe it will be different.  I don't know what the process is. But that can help them a lot if they can actually do something about any club from the Saudi League to compete in the Champions League.
[/quote]

I think the Arab league is targeting highly placed players and if they succeed in pulling them all out, then the glory English leagues have, will have been transported to the Arab league and younger players will have limited options but to head towards the Arab league.

Personally, I feel we need to have the attention focused in another terrain as Eruope has held it for so long. Let's see something interesting from the Arab league. Variety is the spice of life, they say.

Since Neymar signed a contract at Al-Hilal, actually even then Neymar was unable to make his debut after making a contract. Because at that time Neymar was indeed injured and Al-Hilal let Neymar rest so that he could recover better from the injury. But it was really funny that a few days later, during the international break, it turned out that Neymar was actually competing with his national team. And even then Al-Hilal was not happy with this. Because I think Neymar is pushing himself too much. And yeah then Neymar returned to Al-Hilal and made his debut. But Neymar played not as well as expected. Maybe in fact he was still injured at that time but he is a typical player who always pushes himself.

So I wouldn't be surprised if Neymar got injured again this time. But the injured party is Al-hilal. But it is not a financial loss but a loss because Al-Hilal really hopes that his squad can be strengthened by Neymar. But with a serious injury, Neymar will be absent for quite a long time.
The good news is that Fifa will provide compensation for losses to Al-Hilal. Because Neymar was injured while defending Brazil and not while defending the Al-Hilal club.

Neymar got injured and he can't play for six months in Al Hilal which can definitely damage the team because they invested too much in this player. there is even the possibility that Al Hilal to take legal action against Brazil because they think Brazil is guilty of it.
Other than Neymar, Hassan Altambakti and Salman Al-Faraj are two other injured players in Al Hilal.

Al-Hilal is clearly disadvantaged by Neymar's injury. Because all of us who have followed Al-Hilal's struggle to bring in Neymar were not easy. Al-Hilal offered a big salary, made up for it with a high transfer price and also promised to give Neymar a big bonus. For every great contribution Neymar has made to Al-Hilal. But now Al-Hilal's dream of being able to complete their squad with this highly respected European star doesn't seem to be coming true any time soon. Because Neymar, who has suffered a serious injury, is certain to be absent for more than half of this season. Even though FIFA said they would provide compensation. But all that will not cure the disappointment experienced by Al-hilal. During the previous international break, Al-Hilal even objected when the Brazilian National Team called up Neymar. Al-Hilal objected not without reason. But the team of medical experts from Al-Hilal seemed to have seen Neymar, who had not fully recovered from his injury at that time but had to go to play for the Brazilian national team. And of course even then Neymar has the potential to suffer an even worse injury. But fortunately that didn't happen. But it turns out that the current international pause is actually what Al-Hilal feared has actually happened. All Al-Hilal fans must also be disappointed with all this. But fortunately Al-Hilal is actually still a strong team even without Neymar. Because even before Neymar's arrival, we already knew that Al-Hilal was the favorite team. Aligned with Al-ittihad and Al-nassr.

Neymar being injured again wasn't really unexpected was it? No idea why they paid so much for him, he is not like some superstar famous person for money and views reasons neither, I mean don't get me wrong I am not denying his talent, but people like Ronaldo and Messi draw people to watch their games, look at just this topic, Ronaldo made this league known all by himself that's fame, it is of course because he is talented but that's not enough, just being talented is not enough, you need to be so famous that you need to make that money back for them.

Neymar wasn't loved like that by the people all that much, maybe Brazilians could like him a bit but not everyone around the world so I am assuming it was already a bad transfer even if he was healthy, now that he is injured, it is even worse.
wait a moment mate. If you compare Ronaldo with Neymar, Ronaldo is definitely much more popular than Neymar and in terms of talent and physicality, Ronaldo is also better than Neymar, so it is very natural that if a league is attended by a star player like Ronaldo, the popularity of the league like SPL will immediately increase at the moment.
but dont get me wrong because after all Neymar is also one of the star players from europe even though he is not as strong as before but that is all because the injury he suffered has not yet healed completely so we have to understand Neymar condition and Al Hilal goal in getting this player from my assessment Al Hilal too trying to help increase the popularity of the SPL such as Al Nassr who has Ronaldo and Ittihad who has Benzema so there is no harm in Al Hilal bringing in these players and when it comes to money Al Hilal is very rich and does not seem to be demanding anything from Neymar.

Since being with PSG Neymar has suffered quite lot of injuries and been absent from matches which made PSG sell him to Al Hilal in the last transfer window and when he got contract with Al Hilal Neymar was actually still in bad condition because he was in the recovery.
I sure that why PSG easily let him go to Al Hilal and if Neymar is fine there is very little chance of PSG letting him go because PSG is also short of players for their attack line.

Six months is long time equivalent to more than half season and with this injury it can be said that Neymar cannot strengthen Al Hilal for long time and conditions like this are indeed detrimental to the team financially and also practically in every match.
I not really sure whether Al Hilal will take legal action against Brazil or not because this matter is still just rumor.

Neymar is like a marketing effort from Al Hilal and without him, Al Hilal will still be one of strongest teams in Saudi Professional League. His absence for estimated six months won't affect attacking power of Al Hilal too much.

Without Neymar, Al Hilal will have bigger issues in marketing and I think it is their biggest concern with the serious injury of Neymar and long recovery time he needs to come back. They will not get too much marketing effects from Neymar but will have to pay him so high salary. It is not a happy situation for all sides. Neymar knows this injury is harmful for his chance to expand his contract with Al Hilal and the club surely is not happy by paying high salary for nothing.

that's true. Despite neymar's age, his injury prone is also the main consideration from european club not to recruit him as a player. Neymar was not good like what it used to be. He is now declining so hard. Al hilal was just interesting to sign him caused by the club is looking for his popularity to push the engagement for the club in the football lovers coz this can also attract the investors to come. Im not seeing something special from neymar anymore. He is just an old guy which is always facing injury anytime and he has also bad attitude as well.
By leaving PSG in the summer and moving to Saudi Arabia, Neymar knew that his career in Europe already ended. He will not return to Europe to play for small or average clubs and he will continue to play in Saudi Arabia where he can earn a lot of money, less competitiveness. If he no longer wants to play in Saudi Arabia, he can move to Quatar or return to his home land Brazil to play some seasons before a retirement.

Big clubs in Europe will not hire Neymar with expensive costs as they are fearful with injury record of Neymar. Even without injuries, Neymar performance quickly decreases with time because he is not so ambitious and professional with training like Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo.

Maybe they were hoping for the marketing effect only, but what kind of marketing effect can Neymar have when he is injured for dozens of games and can't show up on the pitch? It is a totally different story when you have someone like Cristiano Ronaldo to impress the global audience with his great games and goals and although he was more expensive, at least he is available and playing and people can enjoy his presence in the league. I really doubt that Neymar can have any similar effect for the benefit of the Saudi Professional League. PSG tried the same when they bought him for a lot of money and he became quite hated after all.
This season, Cristiano Ronaldo has been a welcome presence in the Saudi Pro League. He is prominent and has had a significant beneficial impact on the SPL. European players have expressed an interest in the league and some have even moved there to play football. Ronaldo is deserving of the accolades he has received; Al Nassr has consistently praised him in each game in which he has played for them, and he consistently scores goals and delivers them when they are most needed while Neymar Jr is an important playee but he's not meeting up the tough expectations. He fell short of the expectations of PSG fans since he is currently prone to injuries, which could cause him to miss several games for his new team.
.

Neymar didn't fall into disgrace at PSG only because of his injuries, but also because his dedication was less than the fans expected. He earned so much money that the fans expected from him to behave professionally on the highest level, but that wasn't the case. That's why I am still surprised that he was able to sign this impressive contract with a Saudi club. It isn't comprehensible for me, but you know why would I care, it is the Saudi oil money.

Ronaldo is playing a much more important role for the league indeed and he will keep having an influence on the positive development of it. Nobody knows yet whether he plans to extend the contract, but it would be no surprise if he stayed for a few more years.

Al-Hilal is one among the strongest team of Saudi Arabia Pro League. To make the team even more stronger they've invested big on Neymar. Even without his presence the team used to be on the top 3. Taking into account the previous four seasons of Saudi Arabia Pro League, Hilal have finished thrice on the first position. Al-Hilal can't take any legal action, because the contract doesn't mention that he can't play for his home country.

Al Hilal have experienced a bad omen to have had this Neymar Jr go to this heartbreaking long-term injury that will cause him a deep tissued surgery. Right now the club is doing awesomely as they are the ones topping the league with with 23 points. They have the likes of Mitrovic, and so on. They just need to know how to augment what they are lacking now to continue to top the league but I know it will be very tough

Neymar was contributing less from the few games with al hilal. Mitrovic is far better than him as a al hilal player. Im not even surprising to hear neymar face another new injury again.
Al hilal was paying him to sit on the bench and wasting his time only to play for his country and got injured. 300 millions are a lot of money to be wasted for injury prone players like him. Hilal could recruit better players than him.

It doesn't make sense if Al Hilal signed Neymar for the marketing purpose only. If Neymar never contributed anything to the club, how he can bring impact for the marketing. Neymar can't rely on his big name only, there are already many big names in Saudi Pro League. Ideally, Neymar must follow what Ronaldo already did to his club. Ronaldo played well, he contributed much for winning the matches and improves the attentions of the fans. It is something that Neymar can't do if he only sits on the bench or he takes a rest at home. So, I assume Al Hilal probably consider to sack him if there is no significant improvement on this injured problem.

He just played 3 times for the matches of SPL. It is very unfortunate if he must take a rest until the second half of the season. It is getting worse if the injured problem looks to last a longer time and takes time until the end of the season.

Well, I wonder what Al Hilal is going to do right now. They definitely have given a lot of money to Neymar, the salary is absolutely incredible. I wonder if they actually are going to do something about the huge salary that Neymar is going to get even though Neymar is injured and will be out of action for a long time.

They do not have too much problem spending money. But at this point, I think it is going to be actually a waste of money. I bet they did not think about this when preparing the contract for Neymar. They just wanted him in the squad at any cost. And looking at the situation right now, it is definitely going to be very costly for them.

If you look at Neymar's salary (€300 million for two years), it is almost at the level of the salary being offered to other star performers such as Cristiano Ronaldo. Since he is injured and out of action, Al Hilal doesn't need to pay most of this amount. But even then, the team will be severely weakened without Neymar. They do have quality forwards such as Malcom, Aleksandar Mitrović and Sergej Milinković-Savić, but no one can fill the void from Neymar. Anyway, the latest news is that he needs to undergo surgery for anterior cruciate ligament injury and that will rule him out of action at least for a couple of months.

Spot on.

Once you have a star in your team it makes it easier to book other good players.

It is the beginning which is the most difficult, trying to bring the star player with lots of money probably.

But since they already have this big name, it will be easier to get the next players.

They literally paid millions of dollars to sit on the bench. They also knew that Neymar was injured frequently, they took a big risk, now they want to continue this race in front of them and they had to spend more, double damage. You can't blame anyone for Neymar's injury because there are those who think he didn't rest enough.

Even if he had rested a little more, he is a player with a very high risk of injury at any time of the season. At least they took out some of the losses from jersey sales and Neymar's advertisements. What can we say, was it bad luck or a bad investment?
The Saudi team know everything about Neymar's history and injuries before selling him and they certainly considered this when they recruited him.
Saudi Arabia want to host World Cup and the presence of Neymar and the support of the Brazilian player and Brazil is needed. Second, they certainly won something from tickets and his name (shirts, ads...).
Now when we talk only about the field, then yeah the loss of Neymar again was bad for the team.

From the past Neymar is a player who is prone to injury even while at PSG had a long injury, expensive players with deficiencies like this will clearly harm the club that signed him, especially Al Hilal now.
Al Hilal must have been quite disadvantaged by Neymar's injury because he was plotted as a player who would be able to bring big changes to Al Hilal appearance this season. However, it seems that this will not happen because Neymar has been confirmed to be absent for quite a long time. For Al hilal, it is likely that they will lose their best player this season because Neymar is believed to need quite a long time to recover from his injury. Neymar has often suffered from injuries, So Psg decision to sell him in this summer's transfer window was considered quite appropriate.

Rumor: Neymar's injury can be up to 9 months to rest while what Al Hilal invested so much in him, yes this is an injury when playing with Brazil which does not mean when playing for the Al Hilal club this is of course a big loss for his fans.

I'm not sure when he comes back he'll be back to his normal form, he's old, his fitness is weak and he's bound to get injured again.
If you look at Neymar's statistics with Al Hilal, of course he has only played 5 matches in all competitions. I think Al hilal fans are quite disappointed with this news, but that's what happened where neymar had to miss this season because he suffered another injury while playing for the national team. Well, looking at the competition taking place in the Saudi Arabian League this season, Of course the competition is tighter compared to last season. I predict Al hilal will find it difficult to maintain their best form this season because neymar absence will definitely have a negative impact on their performance.

Al hilal paid him only to sit on the bench and did nothing again.  Cheesy Cheesy I could consider it as a donation for him by al hilal. What a horrible player.

The serious injury suffered by Neymar yesterday while defending Brazil marked the 30th injury during his career. This is a very large amount for a professional football player and as one of the star players his fate is now getting closer to the end every day. I doubt Al-Hlal will keep him until his contract ends because his presence is really needed as a star on the pitch and Al-Hilal will certainly not be satisfied if he just sees Neymar resting at home. The investment made by Al-Hilal seems meaningless and they must consider this situation as soon as possible. This is a big risk for a team to take when signing Neymar and I hope Al-Hilal can understand what they have done before.
