I don't think it's a problem to join any club or any league as long as it makes a player more appreciated there. I respect Messi's decision in this matter. But currently I rarely follow Messi's matches at his new team (Inter Miami) so I don't know how things are going there.

But because I follow the SPL more, I have an opinion about the clubs in the SPL who really respect the players they bring in. Ronaldo has been asking al nassr to extend his contract till 2027 but there are many speculations are coming up said that if ronaldo is willing to retire after world cup 2026. that makes sense if he is still willing to end his career after 2026 world cup. It could become the last chance for him to participate in the world cup. I do really support his decision as long as it was good for him. I think that this rumor totally makes sense consider ronaldo is not even interesting to leave from al nassr.
it seems like that if he is still having ambition to play in the 2026 world cup before announcing his retirement in the 2027. That makes sense to see him take an action to make sure nassr will agree to extend his contract.

I don't think Saudi Arabia will have an impact on increasing the prices of European players even though they currently dominate European players coming into their league. Money is the thing that playing very important role in SPL. The oil money has let saudi pro league to recruit as many great players as possible. Saudi has a target to host world cup and that's the main reason why this country was trying to spend its unlimited money in the football. Become a host for the world cup will be also increasing the interest from public and investors to put their money on the saudi, this is already planned since a long time ago.
SPL would not be as big as now if there was no unlimited money who was supporting the league and many people are still questioning how long this league will exist with the help of money but i must say that if saudi arabia has so much money to keep this league to be even bigger.
