no one cares about this league and cups of arabia, the focus is on soccer in europe, and that's sad but it's the truth, all players dream of playing in europe, being in the european champions league where the best of the best are playing

Dude, I believe that you are still stuck in the 20th century. Arabian leagues are some of the most popular in the world now. Saudi Professional League is now watched across the globe and the signing of Ronaldo by Al Nassr has further increased the popularity of the league. And in the next few years, the situation will change further. Saudi Arabian monarchy has big plans related to sports events and they are trying really hard to win the hosting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup. And Ronaldo is just the tip of the iceberg. Don't be surprised if you see star players such as Kylian Mbappé and Neymar representing the SPL sides within the next few years.
@sithara007 truly you don't understand football, as of today Arabia league is only of the most talking about in the world. It has advanced beyond what you think. Their tv rights world over are increasing rapidly and players are considering playing their than Europe. I believe in the next transf window it will shock you to see how many big players they will sign into the league. Ronaldo effect had turned Arabia league to world class.

LOL.. you got it wrong. I was saying that the Saudi Professional League is now very popular across the globe. It was Slow death who tried to downplay the Arabian leagues. I still would not go to the extent to say that Saudi Professional League is the most popular football league in the world. But they do rank among the top-10 leagues. And it is not just the presence of Ronaldo. A number of quality overseas players are participating in this league and there are rumors that some of the big names in Europe and South America are considering moving to the SPL.

@Sithara007 while it’s definitely not the number one league, but due to the mere presence of Ronaldo it’s buzzing in the same wavelength as the premier league. Furthermore when more star player’s decide to join in the summer transfer window I feel that it’s popularity might become equal to or even more than the Premier League, and thus I won’t be surprised if many young player’s down the year’s prioritise joining it first over other leagues.
Before u start seeing Saudi Arbia professional league to be in the same height as EPL,  please know that Even when Messi, Ronaldo, Neymar,  iniesta, and so many other world class players were playing in Spanish la liga and German Bundesliga, EPL was still considered the best league.
epl isn't considered the best league because of the number of stars playing in it. Ratings like  goals per game, red cards per game, continental wins per season and other factors are also involved. I don't see Saudi Arabian league reaching EPL in this ratings, not even in the next 10 years.
Before they signed Cristiano Ronaldo, most people around the world, especially those in Al-Nasr, were unaware of the saudi team. However, since then, they have gained more recognition, and now whenever they play a match, whether it be in a league, friendly, or any other type of competition, people watch them from all over the world. They play well, and their teamwork is evident in every match, but sometimes their lack of expert players in certain positions of the field causes them to lose. I think that these teams became more well-known when Cristiano Ronaldo joined them. The reason why many people now support Al-Nasr rather than the team is because of Ronaldo, the team's new signing, who has raised them above their previous standing as a footballing powerhouse.

The highest paid signing of Ronaldo have given visibility to the league and the Saudi Arabia team. This is true, and we need to know this league have been started during the year 1976. Such an old league should have got much popularity, but this year only the World have known about it. The part of Ronaldo is big, and even before the signing of Ronaldo the team Al-Nassr have won the title 9 times. Even the very first season is won by Al-Nassr, which means the team too have big history. The presence of Ronaldo have made the team even better and the expectation among the people have increased.

If it wasn't for the recent slump, Al Nasr would have been the leader right now. They lost El Hilal and they got a draw against Al Feiha, that's 5 points lost, they could have gotten 6 points and instead got 1 point total from that 2 games, and that is the reason they are not leading. They are still trailing by 3 points, there is 5 more games left but they are not looking good. They lost to Al Wehda in the cup as well which is a proof that they are just not doing that well.

I think a manager change will definitely do wonders for them, a world class manager could bring so much change to a team, they could be doing ten times better than this with literally exactly same team if they could only hire someone that has a better past and great management skills.

Well, for what you ask regarding the injury time that exceeds what it should be. I don't have the answer. however, we must seek further information. and that too, makes me curious.
Agreed, but unfortunately because the league in Asia is not like the leagues in Europe which get a lot of publication and supervision from organizations that have strict authority so that when there is something that we think is a little odd, it will immediately be checked and will also immediately appear in media coverage so that we as football lovers will know about it soon, so there is no news about things that I think are a little strange in the last two matches played by Ittihad FC. While trying to find out on google only found a reason why the injury time period in the 2022 Qatar world cup has become longer, and hopefully that is the same reason that happened in the saudi pro league.

It seems that what we get in Google search results are exactly the same, but that doesn't satisfy my curiosity. so I investigated the other two teams, namely Al Nassr and Al Hilal. some of the matches they played, had the same injury time duration. I will take two examples, the Al Nassr vs Abha match, which ended in injury time 90+12, Al Hilal vs Al Nassr, 90+14. actually, there are still several other games. well, temporary conclusion. most likely, if the Saudi Professional League adopts the same thing with the injury time in the 2022 world cup Qatar.

On Monday Al Nassr will face Al Khaleej, this should be easy for Al Nassr to win but unfortunately because Al Khaleej is still on a rescue mission from the relegation zone, if Al Nassr looks down on his opponent, the opposite result is very likely to occur.

Referring to this fight, to be honest I can't speculate too much. because, I don't have the latest information for both teams yet and for me it's important. but, this fight should be easy for Al Nassr. apart from playing at their own base, Al Khaleej is not a difficult team for them to overthrow. after all, the two teams have a gap based on standings ranking. however, Al Khaleej seems to have high motivation to provide fierce resistance because, in his last two matches, they won full points. to avoid the relegation zone, at least they need a draw even though it is difficult to provide resistance to a team as strong as Al Nassr. moreover, if we refer to the Al Nassr odds with @1.17. So, 3 points is the result they should get.

Has anyone seen Messi photos in Saudi Arabia? Maybe the rumors of Messi joining the SPL are correct that is why he is visiting with his family to see if they can adjust them there. People use to visit place before they shift. What do you think of Messi visiting Saudi Arabia - I don't agree to the point that he is visiting Saudia without purpose.

@og kush420 Messi is an tourism ambassador for Saudi and he was scheduled to visit Saudi earlier but due to various reasons he couldn’t, so those photos which you speak of are currently in line with his duty. Furthermore there’s a rumour that he’s been offered a gigantic amount to shift to Saudi but there’s no official word on this from his side, so unless we hear from him or his team we can just continue to speculate on his future.
I am sure the offer is there, there is no doubt about that, but he is too young to go to Saudi Arabia. Lets remember that Ronaldo is like 3+ years older than Messi, which means that Messi could play 2 more seasons before he goes to Saudi Arabia at the same age that Ronaldo left. If he goes right away, and even though there is a huge amount of money on the table, I feel like that is not going to be an easy task, it will take them a lot of money to convince him, more than what they paid Ronaldo without a doubt.

I heard numbers like half a billion dollars with 100 million per year deal guaranteed, with incentives that makes it as close to as 300 million per year if he attends everything, but that feels like a lie, same as Ronaldo which was said to be 200 million per year, but it is more like half of that instead.
correct and there are news that he has been offered 400 million dollars more than the offer made to Ronaldo.
PSG is not renewing its contract with Messi - the point mentioned above that there is no evidence from his team - obviously they will not disclose anything unless it is official - but something is cooking for sure!

This a surprising result, and surely this is the result that Al Nassr fans really hoped for so that their favorite team still has a wide-open opportunity to become champion this season, moreover, this is the only competition where they can win this season because of Al Nassr already out of other competitions. With the big difference in odds between the two teams last night's match proved the visitors as the favorites but in the end, Ittihad lost and those who bet on Al Taawon got a pretty nice profit. Ittihad FC actually didn't play badly because they were able to control the match even more than 60% and there were 9 shots on target but unfortunately, only 1 could be a goal.

However, from last night's match, looking at the red card that player Al Taawon got in 90+15' minutes, the question is whether this is a normal thing to happen in the Arab League? where is the injury time up to a dozen minutes because this also happened when Ittihad finally won over Al Shabab where the goal that made Ittihad win occurred in 90+16' minutes, hopefully, this is not a match-fixing because it would be very embarrassing, how a country that is bidding to host the world cup but its league is a corrupt league because fix-match is a form of corruption in my opinion.

For sure, Al Nassr supporters are very happy with this result. That way, these two teams are only 3 points apart. yes, at least, Al Nassr hopes that Al Hilal will make it difficult for Al Ittihad in their meeting match. even the possibility that Al Hilal has a high probability of destroying Al Itihad, especially when we refer to the H2H between Al Hilal vs Al Ittihad which is always dominated by Al Hilal. referring to the Al Taawoun vs Al Ittihad match, actually Ittihad controlled the match, in fact they had lots of opportunities.  who would have thought that with a goal conceded in the 17th minute which was scored by Al Rashidi, Al Ittihad experienced many obstacles to equalize. in fact, Al Ittihad had 9 shots on target, 5 big chances, 4 big chances missed, 65% ball possession. but that was not enough to make Al Ittihad able to equalize. Too bad they had to slip in this fight.

Well, for what you ask regarding the injury time that exceeds what it should be. I don't have the answer. however, we must seek further information. and that too, makes me curious.

this league makes me laugh a lot, and now with only 5 games to go in the league things are taking a turn that makes me laugh even more, I said that sometimes money is not everything, a rich person who plays and lives in europe will have European lifestyle, we all know how these extravagant lifestyles are, but in saudi arabia things are different, they have laws based on religion, it is not easy for a person to go and live in a country with laws based on religion, I I said that ronaldo would be psychologically tired playing in this league, it was obvious that this would happen, just look at the style and behavior of his wife, he would not bear to dress the way women have to dress in arabia

how women should dress in saudi arabia, there is a very big cultural difference, i wonder how the education of ronaldo's children is going in saudi arabia, what exactly are they learning, what history are they learning, this all shakes ronaldo , then we have the problems on the field, Al Nassr is not Real Madrid that has 11 or more good players, it is not City that has 11 or more good players, Al Nassr only has Ronaldo and Talisca, the rest of the players maybe they were bricklayers who were building these tall buildings for the arabs and they were called to play soccer, because it is not normal that even ronaldo passes teammates cannot catch, and it is a very big difference between ronaldo and other Al Nassr players.

The expected results have come favouring the Al-Nassr fans. Unexpected turn happened at the last moment of the match. there are rumors that Messi is about to sign a contract with Al-Hilal and on the other hand Ronaldo seems unhappy staying there in Saudi culture.
Despite of the fact state laws has been changed for him - he still might quit and move back to Real Madrid.

From the rumors spread by the online media if he is really going to Real Madrid, he is no longer a Real Madrid player but a Real Madrid ambassador, so if he wants to continue his career as a player then Ronaldo must find another club if Al Nassr is no longer a suitable place. comfortable for him because it seems like being Ronaldo as a player is not what Real Madrid is interested in. Unfortunately there won't be many choices that Ronaldo can make other than staying at Al Nassr or accepting Real Madrid's offer and ending his career as a player.
https://therealchamps.com/2023/05/01/cristiano-ronaldo-return-real-madrid-2/

Ittihad FC will play against Al Taawon, Al Nassr fans really hope that their club's competitors will experience defeat so that their point difference with Al Nassr remains three so that it will make it a little easier for Al Nassr to catch Ittihad, but it seems expecting to see Ittihad lose in tomorrow's match is quite impossible because Al Taawon doesn't have good statistics against Ittihad even though they will be the home team. Al Taawon's best result is only a draw, but Al Ittihad, who is in the best form with consecutive wins in the last 5 matches, will try to take good care of it and after this match is over, the point difference will be back to 6 or at least 4 because maybe Al Taawon can force this match to end in a draw.
Ronaldo has become the highest paid athlete by getting 136 million dollar annually
Messi is on 2nd rank with 130 million dollar take home. Great men - great bank accounts.

Al Taawoun vs Al Ittihad

Tomorrow, In this match, Al Ittihad will target to get full points over the home team. and if the scenario is for Al Itthad to win this fight, then they will widen the difference in points from Al Nassr. unfortunately, I don't have the latest information for either team. but what is certain, Al Ittihad is more favored than the home team.
-snip-
Referring to the available odds, Al Taawoun @4.20, draw @3.50, Al Ittihad @1.67. so, roughly, does Al Ittihad have the potential to slip in this match, interesting. even so, it seems pretty ideal to bet on Al Ittihad.

As I predicted earlier, that the Al Raed vs Al Batin match will be won by the home team. unfortunately my estimate was slightly off the mark, I thought the fight would end zmwith a score of 2-1. in fact, Al Raed was able to overthrow the opposing team with a score of 3-1. very reasonable, considering that Al Batin is a team that is almost certain to be relegated in this competition.

On the other hand, in the last 5 matches that Al Taawoun played. recorded, they were not even able to win the battle. lost 2 times, 3 other matches ended in a draw. that is, the probability of Al Taawoun to defeat the opposing team is very unlikely. especially if you refer to the H2H of these two teams, Al Ittihad always dominates the victory over Al Taawoun.

I don't think Ronaldo is ready to end his player career at the moment. He wants to return to Europe that is normal with such a high ambitious player but I believe he will aim at a club which can help him to play in Champions League.

In the contract with Al Nassr, there is a term which allows Ronaldo to join Newcastle United if they are eligible for Champions League. It seems Newcastle United will get it after this season ending as they temporarily have a good position in Premier League and good gaps with competitors like Tottenham and Liverpool.

Maybe Cristiano will return to Real Madrid with a non-player role like a Brand Ambassador but only after his retirement as a player.
We already know what Ronaldo's character has been and he is a very ambitious player to achieve everything and it is certainly true that he will not end so quickly as a footballer. His name which is so big and very influential is still something that is difficult to achieve for any player.

Actually I still quite hope that he will be able to play for a European team next year and it seems that if we look at the contract then it is likely that he will return to the EPL with Newcastle and even be able to play in the champions league again. I would be very happy if he could return to Europe as a footballer instead of being a brand ambassador for Real Madrid. Maybe it's not right now for Real Madrid to offer that, but if in the next 2 or 3 years I think it's very appropriate for Ronaldo.

Well, Ibrahimovic did something similar before, so it wouldn't be really shocking if Ronaldo could do it as well. Ibrahimovic went to MLS and played there for a while and did alright and then went back to Milan and he has been there for a few seasons already.

This is why I believe that if Ronaldo could play at Saudi league for a while then he could move back to Europe and do a lot better there as well. He just needs to accept the fact that he will be from the bench and not starting player, if he can accept the fact that he would be from the bench and only play last minutes, then he could go back to Europe without a trouble. Imagine him going back to like Madrid but be their bench player at striker position, he could play after 70th+ minute or so, last 10-15 minutes, and cup games and such, he would be pretty good there without a doubt.

Cristiano's performance at Al Nassr so far not as promising enough. While he may not have lived up to expectations that major clubs will express interest in the summer. At this stage, he simply wouldn't add enough value to a team and would help to bring more followers. Cristiano is no longer the dominant force he once was, and his impact on matches has diminished. While his contract with Al Nassr may support his aspirations of returning to top-level football, the chances of this happening seem slim.

Maybe Cristiano will return to Real Madrid with a non-player role like a Brand Ambassador but only after his retirement as a player.
In my opinion, it would be best for Cristiano to retire gracefully and transition into a non-playing role. After an incredible 15-year career, it's time for him to accept the reality of age catching up with him. The media and fans can be harsh judges, and it's important for him to recognize that. As @CryptopreneurBrainboss pointed out, he likely won't end his career while Messi is still playing, so the story will undoubtedly continue.
@onecall123 what do you mean that Ronaldo's performance are not enough?  Do you watch him play at all or you just follow livescore update, Ronaldo is playing his normal game, He's still fit and dominating the league, ever since arrived Saudi Arabia league he has scored more goals than every players in the league. He has 12 goals already. He's strong and can still perform in any team in the world. The problem people has with Ronaldo is that they want him to perform like he did 3years ago, which is not right, he has made football look beautiful. He deserves out support as he approch retirement age.

Ronaldo can't end his career yet and he knows that, the moment he ends his career while messi is still playing, he stands a chance to lose every leverage he had over messi when the goat debate is been discussed. At the mommy he's leading with just feels goals as and going to Barcelona or any other clubs that actually knows how to play football will surpassed Ronaldo's on no time. Ronaldo also needs to comeback to the champion league. What's he's doing at Al Nassr isn't been appreciated even with all the goals he has scored for the club. I ree rival fans disrespecting him countless amount of time and that's something they shouldn't be doing for a player like Cristiano Ronaldo that's helping their local league by playing there.

If Newcastle gets a spot in the champions league wish I strongly believe they'll be able to achieve, Ronaldo should pack his bag and return to the premier league atleast this time he won't be doing so with the wrong side and when he returns to the premier league, he has to refused to be the center of attention even though the media would want to make it look so. He has to allow the Newcastle team to play as they played this season while just been an extra hand to push them and guiding the players with his experience. He has to start playing like he's old and not think he still has the same strength as Haaland.
