There is only two points difference between the top-4 teams (Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Shabab and Al-Ittihad). Al Nassr and Al-Ittihad have played only 14 matches each, so that gives them an advantage. Tomorrow we have the match between Al Fateh and Al Nassr, while Al Ittihad will be facing Al Adalah on 10th February. In both the cases, the opponents are considered as weak sides and therefore these two clubs have a chance to strengthen their position at the top. We are almost mid-way through the season. Each club is supposed to play a total of 30 matches, and at this point most of them have completed 14-15 matches.

Al Naasr has more advantage than Al lttihad win their local league,not winning their last match wouldn't be a problem because they are using two points to the ahead of their rival Al lttihad. I know Ronaldo presence as a player in the club will add value to the clubs victory. Though,the league is still open and if there is any mistake from Al ...might top the league as the point difference is not much. Football is unpredictable.

 SPL is getting more attention,soon we will be seeing good football from this league because,there will be an improvement in the league,if good players are signed into the league. Ronaldo present can encourage young players to play in SPL from other leagues.

I don't think we have any big upset in this match because right now Al Ittihad is having 31 points from 14 matches and if they won their remaining match then surely they could be at the second spot and still have fair chance to give challenge to leaders Al Nassr for the title of 2023 soccer league as they also have many foreigner players those are giving their best for this club. Now we have recently too much talk about this league and many have no knowledge about this, so they are surprised but as we all know results like these can happen in English Premier League and other leagues as well, so soccer is a game of upsets and shocking results.

For Al Nassr, the next match will take place on 3rd February (Friday). Many of the users have already mentioned this, but their defeat against Al Ittihad during the Saudi Super Cup was a big surprise. I don't know what happened, but maybe Al Nassr needs sometime to adjust with Ronaldo in their lineup. At this point they don't have much to worry. They are still at the top of the table with 33 point from 14 matches. Al Hilal has 32 points, but they have played one additional match. All that said, they need to win against Al Ittihad.

@Sithara007 why are we all even discussing about his nationality change?, because he won’t ever change it no matter what the media say or even if he got unlimited amounts of money for the citizenship he yet wouldn’t take it. Furthermore there’s speculation that they intent to use him for their World Cup bid, but that’s baseless as there’s no clause which requires him to back Saudi for the World Cup hence let’s burry this speculations and focus on the games news only.

Tomorrow there will be several matches and some of these teams are in the relegation zone, such as Al-Khaleej and Al-Batin. It looks like Al-Batin will have difficulties when he has to face Abha who is in 8th place in the standings. Meanwhile, AL-Khaleej will face Al-Taawoun who is ranked 5th in the standings. But there is something quite interesting that Al-Shabab, who is in 3rd place in the standings, will fight Damas FC who is in 7th position, I think this match is quite balanced. What do you think? I don't understand the talk here. If someone changes his citizenship, then he becomes a traitor? That is laughable, because in that case we have hundreds of millions of traitors around the world. More than a million people newly become the citizens of the United States every year. Saudi citizenship though naturalization is extremely hard to obtain and from what I have heard they have provided passports to only a few thousand people so far. There are strict requirements such as fluency in Arabic and more than 10 years of residency in the kingdom.

In case Ronaldo acquires Saudi nationality, then he need to relinquish his Portuguese passport. The reason is that Saudi passport holders are not allowed to hold dual citizenship (although Portugal allows that).

I think having dual citizenship is not out of place , all Saudi Arabia wants is comfort for Ronaldo, Their league are most talk about recently. But this news is still a rumour until it happens. Ronaldo needs to be happy as he journey to his retirement.   As Portugal team captain he will never accept such offer from the Arabic nation. Ronaldo isn't desperate any more, he now play for fun and marketing purposes.

Ronaldo made mistake after mistake. Media wanted to bury him alive because Ronaldo is a clickbait and source of income for them, in addition, he boosted this process and media even further took the advantage of this. In interview with Piers Morgan, he agreed with Piers that he wanted to play at highest level, keep scoring of goals, etc and then even agreed with Piers that if it was about money, he would be in Saudi, earning a king's ransom. But soon after one month, he did absolutely the exact opposite of what he said. Fifa world cup 2022 was probably his last world cup and he wasn't able to play against Morocco where his team lost. He was overlooked by Fernando Santos in Portugal's national team.
I don't know, what happened around him is tragedy. He is amazing person, he is a legendary player, he was always donating tons of money to charity, trying to do good for people too but he become a very hated person in just some months. He didn't deserve to end career like this!

AL Nassr bought Ronaldo for popularity and attention, at least the club and funs should give him a little bit more time. Yeah, he is old but better than majority of players and will remain so for years.

I definitely disagree that he would change citizenship, he will stay a Portuguese person and that is not going to happen, impossible. However, marketing part is true and 2030 is long way out, we have 7 more years which means that if they got Ronaldo already, and can get Messi and they can get some other older stars, and spend that much money on everything, then two things will happen.

First of all, there will be more people around the world watching their games and viewership is important, Qatar never had that and still got it, so this is a benefit. Secondly we are going to see more money going into football, and that will make it easier to achieve world cup requirements as well.

That's also what I wantto An Nassr, but right now it's hard to happen. The Arab League is not an easy league so ronaldo will score a lot of goals. That's one proof that he's currently just a former star player ready to dim his light. An Nassr should have thought about this. So they understand that there will be no high targets after Ronaldo joins. Today he is only a place of business, making a profit in the form of money in the business of the club, not a feat of trophies or champions.

Maybe if they were aware, the Club wasn't disappointed. But maybe it was the fans who would be angry. Many social media outlets have said he still wants to play in Europe and retire in Europe. It could happen but probably not many clubs will be willing to accept if he still asks for a big salary.

After Ronaldo was signed by Saudi club Al-Nassr, Saudi football gained a new name to the entire football world. I myself did not watch Saudi clubs before, but after Ronaldo joined Saudi Arabia, I regularly watched his games.  But we have to admit that Al-Nassr fans will surely expect better from Ronaldo. Al Hilal is now getting closer to Al Nassr. their points gain is only 1 point difference. if Al Nassr cannot get 3 points in the next match, it will be a big loss. against Al Fateh, it will be quite difficult for Al Nassr. Al Fatih is not a weak team.

2 - bringing cristiano ronaldo to think about the 2030 world cup is a serious strategic error, because the moment cristiano ronaldo left europe his popularity will reduce at a very fast level every day

3 - I don't see what cristiano ronaldo would gain from changing nationality when he has always been a patriotic player and has always shown it, I doubt he will turn his back on portugal

Expectations are higher from Cristiano Ronaldo.  He is not expected to just play football and score goals.  Apart from football, it will act as an advertisement and an ambassador for Saudi Arabia.  His deal is a long-term deal.  Like Xavi, maybe he can start coaching there after leaving football.  Frankly, I wonder about Ronaldo's career if he becomes a coach.

Games are not always at the same pace as humans. Something changes over time. However, even if everyone sees Ronaldo in a bad light, I never see him in a bad light. Saudi Arabia would have won this match if Messi or Neymar had been with Ronaldo in the match against Saudi All Stars and PSG. But if Al Nasir is worried about Ronaldo then it is completely stupid for Al Nasir.  Saudi football club is gaining recognition in the football world for Ronaldo. Good luck to Ronaldo. We all know that but not for the fans of Al Nassr club because sometimes fans can go too far when expecting something from a star like Ronaldo. The club owner as well as the Saudi Arabian football association have a mission by signing Ronaldo and his presence there is almost similar to what happened to a star player who spent the end of his career in Major League Soccers is to make football there get more exposre and also broadcasting

Anything about ronaldo would be increasing the traffic for the media. I would not be surprised that ronaldo got so many blames if he was not able to make the goals. I have seen some memes about him too. I see a video that shows that al nassr fans was stomping on ronaldo's jersey.  Im not sure if that was real al nassr supporter or not but how dumb people who have expecting something big to come from ronaldo which was not young anymore.
Those who blame ronaldo must be so dumb. they think football is only about ronaldo making goal against its opponent.

First of all, no one expects Ronaldo to perform in a way he used to perform when he was in his 20s. The reason why Al Nassr paid such a huge amount to Ronaldo is not just to keep them at the top of the table (if you check the points table for Saudi Professional League, you can see that Al Nassr is already at the top of the table). Ronaldo was brought to Saudi Arabia, in order to give the SPL and Saudi football more exposure to the outside world. The long term target is to win hosting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup and Ronaldo is a part of the bidding team (there are rumors that he will soon take up citizenship of Saudi Arabia).
