It is obvious why people look up to them as idols - they are like Gods, on media everyday. I literally grew up hearing and watching Ronaldinho, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. I still feel like in childish way I would get very nervous to meet any of them. Even if they behave bad.
Well honestly I am suyre many Ronaldo fans will start watching Saudi Arabian league just because of Ronaldo. But people should not forget the fact that only reason that pulled Ronaldo there is money, so his performance won't be very good considering his performance in Europe.

Yes, I will be one of them. At least I will watch the highlights of Al Nassr matches. I think Ronaldo will give a truly outstanding performance in the Saudi Professional League. Had he stayed in Europe, he could have performed exceptionally well at any club. I think he will make it easier in the Saudi Professional League. He will have his first game with his new team next week. I think he will show 100% of his performance in Al Nassr as he is a true professional. He will play to be the best again. Anyway, let's wait and see what will happen...

All eyes are on the Saudi Arabia league because of the man Cristiano Ronaldo, digital satellite television known as DSTV has now open a Chanel for Saudi Arabian league,  the influence is just too much, Al Nassr are in talks with Sergio Ramos, Luka Modric, Sergio busquet and if all this signings go through then the world will turn it's eye on the Saudi league, it will now be a more preferred league for retiring players other than The MSL I'm USA. And in future big players will be pushing to end their career in the Saudi league just as it is to the MSL in USA. That will surely be the rise of the Saudi league

I'm not very familiar with football in Saudi Arabia, but with the signing of Cristiano Ronaldo to the Al Nassr club, I have no doubt that Saudi football has gained worldwide notoriety.

Well, I don't have much information, but could someone share some websites or channels, that you keep informed about SPL?

I think Al Nassr is already aware of this fact that Ronaldo is getting old  and his game and shape is not in perfect form like before but for them I  guess Ronaldo is a name, power  strength to lift up their team in terms of popularity and fame.
He's definitely add some good things in Al Nassr with his experience and will score more goals .
Not only that, but their main goal is business. They are looking for profit by bringing in Ronaldo. Indeed, An Nassr's high hopes are that he can return to the championship and perform in the ACL. But hanging the game on Ronaldo will only worsen the team's performance. At this time he is no longer a sprinter. Right now he's just a finisher. So teammates should be familiar with that. They have to keep playing as a team. Otherwise Ronaldo will only become a game destroyer with his selfishness.

I am sure Ronaldo will be a very selfish person in person. We love him and admire him but in real life these sportsman are very selfish.
My firend was on security duty with MEssi - and he said that he was a very caring person. Dont know but people look up to them as their idols

Cristiano Ronaldo has joined Al Nasser Club and he has been given a warm welcome by all the Al Nasser Club authorities. But Cristiano Ronaldo can get there for a huge amount of money and will not find great rivals. However, according to the performance of Cristiano Ronaldo, his association with this club was not too bad.

I wonder if Cristiano Ronaldo will manage to draw all the attention to the Arab League. His fans around the world will want to watch his first few matches live on TV. But I don't think many people will follow his next matches. Because the time difference and the Arab League might not be very interesting for them.

Next week there is a match between Al Nasrr and Al Shabab. Al Nasrr will play against their closest rivals in the league. If Ronaldo makes his mark in this match and continues to keep Al Nasrr at the top of the league, the interest in him will increase even more. He no longer plays in an elite league. But I'm sure he still wants to be a hero. This match can turn into one of those moments for him.

Now Spl will be very interested in being noticed by the presence of a worldwide famous star going to one of the clubs in Spl ( Al-Nassr). Previously the Al-Nassr Club itself had won 2 matches and the star soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo joined this club, maybe soon the Al-Nassr club will continue to be discussed with the presence of CR7 joining this club.

This is a great opportunity for Al-Nassr Club to bring in more professional stars, and it looks like, it won't take long for this league to gain popularity, it looks like there will be more professional players coming to this league.

Thanks to the OP for opening this Thread.

I just watched the unveiling of Ronaldo on YouTube by Al Nassr honestly himself and his family was warmly recieved and massively welcomed by the their fans, the whole stadium was filled to the brim, Ronaldo stated that he is ready to make them happy and develop the team, it's obvious that Ronaldo playing for Al Nassr will attract more people to the Saudi Arabian league because of his ardent fans across the world despite the fact that he is aging however I think he is still very fit going by his physique and I believe that he still can still play competitive football for three more seasons.
he is a football legend who is still playing. being in the Arab League, it's like pulling the media to make Arab like Europe.
now all the media is talking about it. it's good for business and I'm sure there will be much more growth in the Arab league from now on.
they run competitions that are not much different from Europe. now still leaves a long season. Ronaldo can be a good idol that will make the Arab League like the Premier League.

It is very interesting to see how just one person can change the date of sport in a country. Before now, I don't think many people have heard of the club Al Nassr, I for one do not even know if such club even exist until the arrival of cr7 to the club.
It's a good thing and I know that this will definitely shapen the country's league as they are now having more publicity.
More advertising is an understatement, press wrote that the presentation of Ronaldo in Al Nassr was watched by more than 3 billion people, more than watched the World Cup finals! That's what I call popularity. I think now there will be no problems with the sales of paraphernalia, all countries in North Africa and the Middle East can now follow the soccer legend, and in Europe Al Nassr should have more fans. In general, I think the 500 million that the sheikhs paid Ronaldo will return to them with interest.

Enthusiastic about Ronaldo's arrival at the Al Nasr club, I am also happy, because I see Ronaldo happy again because his arrival has healed the past drama at Manchester United. and these days social media is full of news about ronaldo. I think the big club Al Nasr has nothing to lose in bringing in Ronaldo. I'm sure big sponsors or other things want to work with clubs that have soccer superstars
Seems like Ronaldo was very unhappy at Manchester United.
It is for the first time some player was given so much protocol - Saudi fans has gone crazy on Ronaldo Joining AlNasar.

It will be difficult for the Saudi league to be interesting whenever Ronaldo leaves, and that is most especially because of the foreign players-per-league rules. Saudi Arab League is strictly bent on the rules of allowing only a maximum of 8 players in the team. This rule is what is currently holding Ronaldo from being officially registered in the team.  EPL is the only league that allows up to 17 foreign players in a team, and that makes EPL the most popular league in football today.

First there was news from the media saying that there was a ban on playing for CR7 on his first debut because there was an incident of smashing a fan's cellphone last April when he was still defending Manchester United, I don't know if this is right or wrong, for sure this is just speculation. But if I personally think he still can't be in the Al-Nassr starting line up because he still needs training and adaptation with his team-mates, so he missed this game and will debut in the next game against Al-Shahab.

I don't know for what reason he didn't play, but I do know that together with the Saudi fans, the whole world is looking forward to Cristiano Ronaldo's debut match.  I'm sure all channels will broadcast the match live.  I hope Cristiano Ronaldo can score a goal on the field in his first match and be very successful in this adventure.
But it seems he also watched Al-Nassr's match against Al-Tai last night and he also provided support for his colleagues who were competing through instastories. Indeed, at this time, not only Al-Nassr fans want to see his debut, but all football fans around the world also want to witness his first match at the SPL club. So it's no wonder all TV channels in various countries have started to license SPL because they want to broadcast a historic match for CR7 at the end of his old age.

In about 20 minutes we will see the Al-Nassr Vs Al-Ta'ee game, also the line-up for this match is out but we won't find Cristiano Ronaldo there even on the bench. I don't know when Cristiano will play his first game for Al-Nassr, does anyone have any information regarding that here?

So what do you think about this match? how will this match go and what is your score prediction? let's share

That's a good step forward for the Saudi Professional League to have stars like Cristiano Ronaldo there, even if Ronaldo is not in his best shape still the name of Cristiano Ronaldo can give more value to the Al-Nassr club and also can have a good effect on Saudi League and AFC because after this we can see more people watching Saudi games and this can definitely be a good investment for and can brings even more people to demand to gamble sports there because of these names.

Al Nassr decision might seem ridiculous understandably looking at the contributions Aboubakar have made to the team, but rules must be respected as laid and that's why the needful must be done.
Manchester United ended their contract with Christiano Ronaldo and e landed an even better deal from the Arabs. If Al Nassr are sending out one of their players, even if he was their best player, I think it could also be a blessing in disguise for them as well even if it just on loan. If he performs and plays well like he was for Al Nassr and become one of the teams' important players like he also was in Al Nassr before Ronaldo, it will be a blessing for him, because better clubs may come for him or the club many decide to give him a much better contract. I think he should accept the move with openness and be prepared to do his best too for any club he finally ends up in.
