Theymos doesn't care about merits. He could be on the Top all the time if he wanted. But, He kept the system fair and let others compete. theymos is not much active on the forum (of course, he is active on the backend). He doesn't respond or post if he doesn't feel he should say something. I won't be surprised if theymos don't post anything for the next month and a half and El duderino_ reaches 10K merits before theymos. But, The chance is less than 5% because El duderino_ is not very active. He is busy observing No-Coiners.

@Theymos is one of those users that basically doesn't need to do anything to receive merits. If he makes a post just saying "hello" he is able to receive 50 mertis.
I'm not saying that he doesn't do anything and that he doesn't deserve the merits he receives. The work done in the backoffice is as or more important than making topics and posts. So all the best to him.

I hope theymos will also enter the 10K merit club soon, he's only 60 merit less than 10K.

The merit hitter works as usual, now LoyceV for 12000 merit. I suddenly thought that LoyceV was a magnet that could attract more merit than the tens of thousands of other active users on this forum. Only o_e_l_e_o is superior in number at this time with 12058 merit. Congratulations to them.

A race for 10k merit club are interesting to observe it because we all know that the top 10 merit earners, show that they are good and already done
Many things and we all know that they deserve what they got right now.  Honestly I am surprised for surpass of o_e_l_e_o he/she is the current number 1 most merit but without a doubt he/she deserve for that and also  For sure As soon as possible theymos will reach 10k merit club and he will complete the big 3 merit earner.

Maybe LoyceV doesn't have time to post it here, or he barely cares about this achievement. So, I want to post it on behalf of Loyce.
Congratulations, Forum AI, for reaching 12000 Merits.

It's been a while since I posted here, I missed most of the special merit records, and now at 4500 merit I think I should post this for future reference.

@o_e_l_e_o congrats mate I think @LoyceV won't easily accept the defeat  Cheesy, let's see who gets 15k merit first.

Congrats o_e_l_e_o! You're now #1 Most Merit!
The king is dead, long live the king!

Congrats @o_e_l_e_o! Keep it up!
Thanks!

However, it looks like @LoyceV won't give up the crown so easily, currently he is back in the #1 spot.  Shocked

I will share, though not such a beautiful merit number, but the mirror number also looks not so bad.

Saving my 444 here! Not sure why. For posterity, or something... Smiley

Anyway, thanks all! I'm very grateful for the merit, it's much appreciated, and it motivates me to put more effort into the forum.

Is it possible to know what is your "random" required activity limit? Is it assigned when account is created or later?

As mentioned, this is not possible to know.

But to give you an idea, I only reached Legendary when I had an activity of 1035. I am subscribed from 2013 and I have more than 7000 posts written.

By the way - I know I must wait weeks for the next rank, but is there any way to know the personal minimum activity?

A few weeks ago, we talked about it here:  Wink

I know all of that. My question was about that part of https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.28856522:
In addition to activity, everyone now has a merit score, and you need both a certain activity level and a certain merit score in order to reach higher member ranks. The required scores are:

RankRequired activityRequired merit
LegendaryRandom in the range 775-10301000

Is it possible to know what is your "random" required activity limit? Is it assigned when account is created or later?

Can't wait to get the highest rank? Smiley I guess with your 700 activity, it's still too early to think about it and will have to wait a while, even if you turn out to be damn lucky, like BlackHatCoiner
Y'all gonna respect. I became a Legendary the moment I surpassed 775. That's how lucky I am.
or, wait longer if the God of Random is unfavorable to you, as to Ratimov.
Most likely, I will first earn 7000 merit, then I will become Legendary. I have already come to terms with the fact that in this rank distribution lottery, I pulled out an unlucky ticket and now I am at the very back of the line. Cheesy

It is curious to know how much merit PawGo will have when he gains enough activity to reach Legendary rank.

If I needed the required amount of activity, then I would prefer not to know this figure. Let it be better a random value that introduces an element of surprise. Anyway, a new rank is inevitable for you, PawGo. Sooner or later it will happen. About 3 months later (if I calculated correctly) start checking your rank more closely after updating your 2 week activity cycle.

It's assigned right after you register your account, and only admins with DB access can know what the required activity limits for each user are. Otherwise, it wouldn't be random after all.  Wink

It's been a while since I make an achievement post right here in this thread now I'm celebrating my 600 merits it really takes me over two years to get this but still in progress before I was just dreaming with the hero member now I guess I have another path to do which is the road to legendary.

Now, I take the opportunity to ask. What is the topic that explains how the field of activity works?  Embarrassed

How is forum activity calculated?
Activity is calculated with the following formula:
Code:
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is increased by posting and is updated every hour; however, the updated number of activity points will be reflected at your profile at the end of the current activity period. As a note, in case you have latent activity points from earlier periods (meaning activity periods where you didn't post daily: in this case, the days when you did not post become latent activity points), these ones will be updated on your profile after 1 hour. You can gain a maximum of 14 activity points every 2 weeks.

It's one of the first posts I had read after registering on this forum, since it's 'sticky' in the Beginners & Help board and has a nice exclamation mark icon.
But since you registered 3 years before that topic, I guess you haven't seen it yet.. Grin

I somehow like the symmetry of 686 and 989.

I hope I will be able to send "999" merits very soon.

haha, yes, finally Grin

Thanks to all! bpib shows that 999 merits gives (nice for programmers) 256th place in the "Most earned merit" table.

By the way - I know I must wait weeks for the next rank, but is there any way to know the personal minimum activity?
