I wonder why this topic was posted here  Huh I have read a few tutorials for newbies, the post should be placed in the appropriate sections  Smiley With topics like this, I think it should be under Scam Accusations or reputation (not sure about the reputation). Why is it posted here and people still don't respond?

Btw this is not a Scam Accusations. This is posted to alert newbies. And Beginners & Help seems to be  the right place to alert newbies. If it were for Scam Accusations, then the moderators would move this thread when I post this thread. You're Newbie too. Don't do anything that creates doubt. Maybe you understand what I mean.

OWNR - Store all crypto in one app.
https://briefcrypt.com/ this site just tried to contact me to withdraw money for them tand a guy from telegram did to I alwyas take screen shots the sad part is two days ago I fell for it on another site and lost 220 dollars on www.deviatbit.com same thing telegram guy I cant figure out out to post screen shots on here. I wish there was someone to report to get my money back fruking sucks ya know!!!!

There is nothing to do, but feel sorry for you. Because if money is in the hands of scammers, there is no way to get it back. It may be your experience that excessive greed can cause you harm. So if anyone offer you anything you need to verify it first, is it real or fake.
It's the issue, individuals get easily tricked by the offer that was given to them to the point that they don't even bother doing their own research, for that reason they end up losing their assets instead of earning money. It's exactly the reason why researching is the best technique that you can do so as to distinguish if something is legit and worthy. This sort of problem usually happens to individuals who lacks of understanding on how scam works, many of them decide to ignore the fact that they can possibly experience it. I just hope that people gain knowledge from their past experiences to abstain having a similar issue.

Many newbies would think that by depositing 0.02 btc, it would be better if they could get 0.8 btc.

If you find out more information, feel free to share here.

Also we should read List of (un)known methods scammers user to scam users with honorable mention . The most common method being used by scammers these days is "Deposit before withdrawing" and newbies + seniors are becoming victim of it.

Almost everyday someone ask me on Telegram for help with withdraw funds - exactly in this same way as it is described in OP.

Other method is that someone is telling that is working in online casino and will show you how to play to win, but ofcourse you have to deposit first.. And ofcourse online casino it is fake website.

I think its time that people should understand that they have to be more vigilant if they want their money to be safe with them. The group of scammers on telegram and other social media convinces us so good that it is hard to predict that their intention is to scam us.

There is no way to get your money back once it is handed over to the scammers. You should be careful and should know what action the other person or site is demanding from you. Telegram is becoming a hub of scammers and I avoid all of kind dealings through telegram and use it only for getting information on few projects which i am following.

Dear ScamViruS,

Thank you for sharing this information with us and others.

Please note that CEX.IO is in no way related to "briefcrypt.com" website.

Kindly be careful with this and similar fake sites. We also recommend you not to share any of your personal data and encourage you to be very cautious with sending the funds to sources you are not confident about.

We are already being taken the necessary actions to report it.

Thanks for the quick response. But I didn't mention anything about CEX.IO. The scammer's domain name is different. If the theme only matches, it doesn't make any sense to blame CEX.IO.

Even if the name does not correspond to the name CEX.IO, then the whole design is the same, which may confuse inexperienced users and negatively affect the image of CEX. Theft of a graphic design is also a crime, so CEX should take steps to cut down these scammers.

For other references about the same type of scheme, you can check more here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/new-scam-schema-on-the-forum-5081286
I have added the link.

This type of scam will never end since there are newbies that surely will fall on this no matter how we warned them.

That's why just keep posting awareness about scams although there is really time that even how knowledgeable the person is, they still tempting to risks small amounts to get a better reward in return. Unfortunately, not all victims are newbies but even those who are aware that's already a scam but want to test the risks since wow, it's BTC0.8 for just BTC0.012 deposit.

Scammers will not stop until no one will fall. They put some effort on this type of scam meaning their scheme is still profitable.
Scammers exploit human greed. Because of greed, many old members fall into such scams. We raise awareness by taking out scams.

I saw this cex clones several times before.
They use same theme, or they tweak it a bit and just change color.
This scam website should be reported and avoided.

BTC price road to $80k
I just check their website the design is 100% clone of cex.io if you are a newbie you can fall on this trap.
Just like the scammer said he trades there 6 months but the domain age is around weeks if you heard this thing and check the domain age you can tell that the man who is talking to you is 100% scam.

Telegram right now have lots of scammers and people who asking for a donation or beg for bitcoin or altcoin, they are many right now compared before.

I'm thinking if how do they make a clone of a real trading site that includes a trading script(I mean the live graph)? httrack website copier can't do that and the source code of httrack is obvious if you make a clone of a website.

I think there is someone selling a clone of cex.io because before there is someone scam with the fake/clone version of cex.io so I think there is someone who selling this design?

You can also mention that site on the OP so that it will be included on the list.

These sites are changing names that's why it's difficult to stop their scheme aside from the fact that others want an instant decent profit out of the small deposit.
