No, if you do that you will only start Quarkcoin, not CPUcoin.
You have to keep the peers.dat file from CPUcoin or the CPUcoin.conf with the good addnode of CPUcoin node.
Hm... So cpucoin even don't have the correct pnSeed values?
It looks like it. Not even that has been changed..

When I looked at it, it was just a copy of an old version of Quark, with each Quarkcoin in the code replaced by CPUcoin. Nothing more changed. (for the daemon)

CPU coin is clearly a garbage, premined 17+ mil.

Well, premined 0 million after the Quarkcoin blockchain overwrote the CPUcoin blockchain..  Smiley
How did this happen lol  Shocked
It's quite simple... *Someone* started CPUCoin client with -datadir=/path/to/quarkcoin/blockchain option.  CPUCoin has no differences with QRK, so chain is fully compatible and caused cascade of reorganize events in all CPUCoin clients.

I found a block and it disappeared now. What happened?
It seems that they took down the blockchain. I also had a block solved and lost it. removed the client immediately, and scanned my system with avast, just to be sure that there's no nasty malware. Nothing seems to be amiss on my system, but I'll be sure to watch out (I'm a computer tech that specializes in malware removal, so I'm well within the realm of understanding if there's an infection).

The whole blockchain was overwritten by the Quarkcoin blockchain.  That's what happens when you copy-paste Quark and half-ass it so badly you re-use Quark's genesis block.  Actually I'm surprised it took as long as it did before someone realized the implications of reusing the Quarkcoin genesis block and pulled the trigger to kill this one.

So many big red letters....

Ok first of all, starting a giveaway thread, and not giving any coins away isn't a scam. You don't lose anything by Rumbit's dishonestly/decision not to give away coins, its just in bad taste and not a good way to gain support.

Second, about the claims of the fake Quark site, whether it is Rumbit's or not, they haven't posted it anywhere on the forums, so that is not breaking the rules. If you want to own malware, fine. As long as you aren't trying to spread it, its not really a concern.

I would highly advise people check the source and check for malware in case there is any, but to my knowledge, no one has found any Malware in the CPUCoin client.

Overall, as of now, there are no grounds for a ban or a scammer tag. (not that mods are able to issue either)
