the fake metamask ad looks the same as the ad on this thread that wasposted earlier this month. you'd assume X(formerly known as Twitter) would auto-block ads like this since a same-looking ad has been advertised on their platform before and has been removed(at least I think so) and the account that posted the ad has been banned, but I guess as long as they get money from the ad they don't care.
These ads appear frequently because they run these ads from new accounts almost every day. If an account is banned, they create new accounts and run fake phishing ads again. X keeps approving ads on their platform because they don't really care about the safety of their users as long as they keep making money.

Fake website ads in the name of many other popular crypto projects, including Metamask, exist on X, which is dangerous for crypto users.
it's pathetic how they fail so badly in properly regulating the ads they are showing on their platform. being a big company you would have at least expected them to do a proper job when it comes to that. it is sad that they don't care about the safety of their users as long as they get paid.

I can also see they are the same, not only with the thread link you shared but also with some other scam airdrop notifications that they do send through email and other means of communication that they always target using popular wallets that they know people make use of. I also believe they are not just some random people doing this, but a group of people operating both different social media accounts and posting these ads set by set.

And of course, X won't disable it unless there is much of a report regarding the ads, as I don't think they have the time to check through the ads before they approve them for promotion. Meta is also a victim of such popular scam ads, but it's more on X.

There is no official airdrop of Metamask, those who are promoting the airdrops using the name of metamask are all fake phishing websites. These websites are designed to steal crypto users' wallet information in order to gain access to those wallets and transfer funds. So crypto users should stay away from these fake campaigns and check the official channels of the project before connecting the wallet to any website, whether there is any official announcement or not.
