Even this SWAP thingy exists, we had already similar scheme on 2017 - 2018 called DEX but it's eth based. Where people can actually list their coins without any screenings. So, people could sold their coins before the official team listed it on desired exchanges.

Honestly this is what happens when something isn't regulated, anybody with the right knowledge can get access to the platform and take advantage , which is why a centralized exchange is better as you can hold them accountable and they too do their own research if you meet their requirements.
Besides I think most altcoins we have today are their to get our bitcoin not that they have something to offer, I don't think so.

There so many scam coins arise now in the cryptocurrency mate, and most of the scam coins at the moment are riding for what is trending now in which is almost the same what happened into UNISWAP were after the successful happened unto it most project utility token adopted the platform of UNI and now Pancakeswap was more trending so far. This is how the scam coins ride in the flow what is trending now.
Just dont get trap on FOMO at any DeFi, i have many friends that trapped on it then the liquidity taken out suddenly after they got in on it.

Before TKO from Tokocrypto was launched in Binance Launchpad, many people bought fake TKO on Pancakeswap and sent to Trustwallet address. In fact, TKO was not listed there. So many people are scammed. I think that before buying, we must check and recheck the token or coin information on the official site whether that is original or fake. Since its a decentralized exchange, I think anyone can list their coin for trade in pancakeswap. But coins
listed officially by the pancakeswap are all good ones. i havent come across a scam coin there. Currently I stick with only 3 coins and they are cake, banana and nuts.

I don't know if there is any. But it is very common to see useless projects in decentralized exchanges rather than centralized ones. So, I choose to use centralized exchanges like Binance to feel safer about it.
it all depends on how you know the coins you want to invest, if you want to get big profits, of course you have to be able to accept a big risk too, Pancakeswap is a place for new coins to grow, if you can find tokens that have the potential from the start, of course big profits will come your way. Likewise, vice versa, it takes extra care to invest there.
its actually inevitable, thats how it happened on eth network back then. these scam coins are part of what is making the bsc chain fully occupied while the majority of them are just pulling rug.

First of all, there are many scam coin on pancakeswap because pancakeswap built for bnb and making token on bnb is very cheap not like ethereum.
Second, scam token will always be there and pop in any platform if we feed them by funding them, and i saw many new comer falling for it and old player taking advantage of it by entering the scam token of bought it earlier.
a scam in terms of tokens has become a natural thing ..but if you only follow a token obtained via airdrop, maybe we will not lose if it is a scam, and vice versa if the token is true, it will definitely have good quality, and we will profit big, in exchange for cheap fees..
I dislike with pancakeswap when listing shit coin because deduct many coin when swap and withdraw take much fees transaction, I see with shit coin want to buy or sell much deduct on our assets and its not good ideas for buying shit coin on pancakeswap, if you interested with shit coin better waiting for listed on exchange like hotbit and mxc exchange.
Shitcoins usually die after exchange listing aside from the liquidity they’ve provided, Pancakeswap is a good platform for those Shitcoins and that’s why most of them succeed on their pump and dump goals. Anyone can create token on Pancakeswap so be careful using this platform, my personal experience is great with Pancakeswap, you just have to be more active if you’re dealing with the shitcoins. It's not easy to register new coins on pancakeswap, the developer must have BNB coins to lock, from there we can see how long the developer has locked the coin and we can see if the coin has the potential to be a scam or not.

I recently came across DONALD Finance and in my opinion it is a very suspicious project. Therefore, I can say that yes, suspicious and even fraudulent projects are possible.
Why do you think that project is suspicious? Are there strange things that don't fit the logic going in that project? so you suspect the project and will be a scam project?
You always need to be careful if you make a trade on pancakeswap, uniswap, sushiswap or all the other swap platforms that are out there. Everyone can list anything on that swap platforms. They just need to provide the tokens and enough liquidity of the trading pair coin like usdc or eth. Then when the price of the scam coin rises they remove all liquidity and have more eth or usdc than before.
Thieves are floating around in crypto seeking someone to grab their money and BSC did not promise the zero scam project

I see there are some coins in Pancakeswap that have no volume. I don't want to say the coin is a scam coin. However, I will not buy coins that have no trading volume. Because the trading volume determines the coin is active, and a lot of demand.
This is not new anymore it started mostly in Uniswap in eth when fees are still cheap but later most traders shift to Pancake because of low fees in BSC and scammers also follow, all I can say if you dont want to be scam take deep research and be sure the liquidity is lock to avoid rugpulls but there are also some cases that lp is lock but the team abandoned the projects since it has anonymous team just like MYX network token lock the liquidity almost $1.5m in UNiswap cannot be pulled out since it was already locked, but the team already disappeared with eth invested on presale.
Scammers are everywhere, and yes,,, they follow where everyone else goes and if the simple people go to whatever platform is promoted, then of course there the scammers go. I can see many new platforms Zerion and 1inch and Plasma Finance, all of these make it so easy to launch a new coin.
Which is of course great but scammers will find it equally easy to open a token in 5 minutes.

Yes, there's a possibility that there are some projects that being traded in pancakeswap so we should be careful. We should now the contract address of the tokens that will be trading in the exchange because some of them are not being shown in their exchange. We should also be careful in performing LP because of some reported of impermanent lose due to suddenly drop the market value.
