How to know what I am reading in the whitepapaer and the reviews from youtube they are authentic and genuine and not another level of scam. Davor's ceo broke all my trust....Is there any trust seal or badge with ICO that says yeah they are genuine.

If you want to tell the authentic ones from the scams, your best bet is to evaluate the team. If they are a bunch of never-heard-of nobodies forget about it, but if they are remarkable you might find the project minimally convincing.

Then you can evaluate the project itself, if their goals are realistic and achievable, if they are raising a proper amount and distributing the tokens fair, etc...

Right. And more reading about the project. Check also for opinions/blogs. Sometimes they help to assess the true nature of the project. But evaluate also if they are legit or just hyping them.

How to distinguish a Good ICO from a Bad ICO?
Read some ANN and most them are quite convincing
I think you need to see these things to distinguish  a Good ICO from a Bad ICO:-

1-TEAM Composition

2-Bitcointalk.org Social Media Thread

3-Venture Capital Investments and Roadmap

4-Social Media Community

5-Whitepaper Evaluation

6-Quality of the Programming Code – GitHub

Any project with no visible developer behind it is mostly like be a scam, even you need to verify their status if what they call themselves is true, also if the ICO bonus is ridiculously high like 100% bonus they are just looking to run away with your fund

Read the whitepaper, check each member of the team and research the market they are trying to enter/create.

You must necessarily look at the site, how it is done, how it works.
To study the team, are there any links to their pages on the social network? In which projects did they take part before this ICO?

just do a serious analysis, review like do some research and verify the truth. Like the project is live then a team are the real.
in my personal view, just looking at the team and whitepaper there will be showing how much % the project have a big potential were we can reach some an opportunities.

I think the best way is study the history of the project and teams behind it.  One thing that I put before me and that is what I do look before investing in any of the ico project is either the company has been existing or the teams are looking for fund to start a new projects. If the company has been existing then I will try to find out about it and if it meet my rating I will invest in it but if it did not I run from it.

You need to analyze the team, check the real people are shown in the photos or not
View the site, read the whitepsper, view the RoadMap, etc.

Annoying is the fact that even when you do all the stated above, you still fall to scams. I'll also like to further verify if any any of the teams members have friends/colleagues from their previous employments as friends

ICO is a very interesting concept that any individual can just decide to raise money for a project, most times the projects are not even finished. It is also common knowledge that even good ICOs fail sometimes but I wish to dwell more on how easy to spot a bad ICO without much stress:

1. The need for raising money for the creation of this token/coin is unnecessary.

2. The project/product has zero value at first glance yet gullible investors rush to throw money on them.

3. Copy and paste of existing roadmaps, whitepapers  e.t.c with only slight modification to logo and coin name.

4. Stolen profile pictures used to form a team to give a false air of credibility.

5. Shoddy manner of distribution of tokens.

You my friend are spot on! A lot of ICO's these days are pure scams. Some form of regulations will be necessary at some point to put in checks the guys whose intents are to fleece the investing public of their hard earned $$$

a

It is easy, just try to avoid them by taking a look over their telegram chat, their roadmap - team, how they are developing the product, and a lot of other stuff.
But the most important thing to look is the community. And how much money have they raised.

There are a couple of things that me and some friends do:

 - check several rating sites to see which ICOs appear more in the 1st spots
 - check youtube for references about those ICOs
 - Check roadmap

Conclusions and made based on a good review from several rating sites, after some youtubers and opinion makers state if the ICOs is good or not. This is very important because it creates hype to the ICO and that can make it rise in popularity, aka, boost value upon release.

If a ICO is very popular, the devs will make more money, making it with less probability to disappear after some cash income, or before the ICO as ended.

Finally the roadmap. If it has a lending program, some investors will be tempted to hold the tokens/coins and invest more, like the beginning of Bitconnect or Davor.

Now, the most important thing. ICO are all scams, so you need to know when to take your money out!! You need to check for signals and withdraw your profit.

I will try to look into that. Thank you for the advise.
It seems like it's really hard to distinguish which is which.

I would advise you to choose campaigns with a large number of participants and with a good team that is known on social networks. And the project must create something new.

Have you looked at the coins on CoinMarketCap? You can find what coins are safer to invest in with an ICO.
After you see how long the coins stay on an exchange then move to ICO's you could try to get a better input on the scams and coins that are named closely to the older coins.

Wait, reading and the announcement thread is not enough. You have to read the source code and look for clone inputs because that coin could've been made in a single day.

I will try to look into that. Thank you for the advise.

`Very, very difficult to select the ICO . because now a lot of scams and projects that never come to market . So you need to be very carefully selected . To test the team , the road map , the project site , and the very idea of the project´

Exactly, it is hard to find out which ones are fake but you can still minimize the risk by dyor!
Dyor coin?
It's better to research what's out there, many coins still use Ethereum for their sales so it's better to get a coin that is primary focused on gathering Bitcoin because they know that Ethereum is just another coin.
