In my opinion, there's little any one of us can do concerning the mischievous developers. It's only good we become more careful in entrusting our funds to projects. We could ensure that maximum research are carried out and I've always believed in the principle of investing only what you're willing to loose.

The best action we can do is to totally leave the ICO, it's not worth investing anymore, only few ICVO succeeded, maybe 1 out of 20 based on my experiences, investors should just concentrate investing in old coins, they are proven to give profit to investors.

It is painful that this ICO scams will not end anytime soon from the look of things. But we can prevent this by making our own researches before buying. You can check the project ANN thread here and follow the comments of others. Most times scams have being exposed that way.

The best action we can do is to totally leave the ICO, it's not worth investing anymore, only few ICVO succeeded, maybe 1 out of 20 based on my experiences, investors should just concentrate investing in old coins, they are proven to give profit to investors.
That's why everyone should stop investing in new ICOs! Every new ICO seems a huge loss or scam! In this year, most of the reputed exchange's IEO gave a huge profit to its investors and the price never goes down than its initial price. What about ICO in this year? Haratoken to Ferrum IVO! Every ICO coin price has down miserably. They are very good project indeed but they can't hold their token's price above the ICO!

The problem is pretty diffrent. If you read terms and conditionsp properly, you will find that by investing in ICO you gain nothing and you can not claim anything, it is something like a donation for the team. 
So you have almost zero chance to get back your money.

Since ICO's are not regulated, there is nothing we can do anything about the scams that are happening always.Is there anything what we can do to punish them? More than 2 years ICOs are scamming us and still people are investing, is this really a world what we want to create?
As an investor, you should know when to invest in an ICO or not. I know that most of the ICO's are becoming either a scam, no value coin or a shit coin. The best thing to do is make a research to different ICO's and see how they can help the people or simply don't invest in an ICO to prevent getting scammed.

It will be difficult to punish or sue the dead coin because it is in the zone between scam and not scam project.
But if they are a scam project and already scam many peoples with huge amount of money, SEC may appeared and deal with them.
There shouldn't be a problem to send them into a prison, right? We know the team members and where they live, so why we do not manage some legal action against the team? ICOs need to understand that the token sale doesn't mean free money.
As long as you can know where are they coming from and what must be a very good idea to put them all in the prison but the problem is there was a lot of countries are not regulating ico and this is the problem when i can think the regulator will give a slow response about that. But in the majority of cases, those scammers have already jailed by the authorities.
The early scam projects that has been reported to the authorities has been punished like this project.

If you have, it is easy you just moveon and find another place that you think it is legitimate. Moreover, when an IEO project have been popping up recently and have gave a lot of profit for the investor you can easily move it to this way.
But if you just curious to take part with ICO project you can be a person who can distinguish the scam project and the legit project such as ICOethic done on this forum. Investing on cryptocurrency especially to the new project it is very risky and but now you have a chance to avoid it.

but now there are many new exchangers who provide IEO facilities that are not necessarily good and pass the KYC process of the project team

maybe we can't do anything to all scam ICOs project in the past,
but we can learn from that mate
and thats why we should doing a deep research before decided to invest on any ICOs, STOs even IEOs project mate,,
In my opinion, the best we can do is to stay away from projects which seem to be scam, though there may not be a perfect indicator for a scam project. We have the responsibility to make our own research and strive to avoid any project which portrays any suspicious attribute.
there is not much we can do for scam ICOs. whenever possible, we should do a lot of research and try to ensure the reliability of the project. if any fraud is encountered, we must spread it to the community and warn people.

You cannot punish them but you can stop them to scam people by telling the people around you that you know to avoid investing in this project and then tell your people to tell again their friends/family about that scam project.

There is little or nothing anyone can do really at this point since no authority to report to, best thing is to be more vigilant and try not to fall victim, and warn others about any scamming looking project to prevent innocent people to also fall victims. People should be very cautious where they invest money.

Make sure that you conduct research to the project that you want to joined or invest to avoid a scam victim, I think this is only the way to prevent scam.
As long as there is no regulation from the government or financial authority, I think it is difficult to punish scammers. From several ICO scam cases, it is difficult for investors to return their funds and what happens is that the developer team carries off the funds from token sale.

Its no good news to know that people are being duped daily and nothing seems to be done to the culprit. The issue is that this space allows people to operate anonymously which has given birth to vices. The way out is for us to be extra careful in our dealings to avoid being duped.
The problem is that it is impossible to control physically. Yes, it is theoretically possible to create a single body that will deal with the control. But no one can deny the organizers of ICO around this project. But thanks to such a project, people will be able to know in advance whether the ICO has passed the test or not. But as a rule, all controlling projects are corrupt.
