Decentralized Finance or DeFi is a movement that leverages decentralized networks to transform old financial products into trustless and transparent protocols that run without intermediaries and are not limited by any artificial border. A DeFi aim is to extend the benefits of decentralization to the financial space. DeFi can offer an alternative to traditional loans, savings, insurance, and investment sectors. Fundamentally anyone with internet access can have access to decentralized finance. DeFi can be referred to as open finance or distributed finance.

It can offer an alternative to traditional loans, savings, insurance, and trading sectors. Fundamentally accommodating anyone with access to the internet. In sectors where centralization and decentralization are combined to create unique products, DeFi can be referred to as open finance or distributed finance.

This isn't the only instance: it also plagiarized Wikipedia's entry on the U.S. dollar.

If you can't be bothered to come up with your own words, why would you expect people to invest in your project?

Since you did bother to come up with original wording for the overall idea of your project, I won't tag your account for plagiarism, but I also won't be recommending anybody invest in it, for multiple reasons.

The U.S. dollar is the world’s primary reserve currency and the most used currency in international transactions; it is the official currency in several countries and the de facto currency in many others (source: Wikipedia).

DeFi stands for “Decentralized Finance” which refers to open finance or distributed finance using blockchain technology. Fundamentally anyone with internet access can have access to decentralized finance. It can solve the problems of traditional finance and give everyone the proper rights and freedom to global finance.

I hope there will not remain any case of plagiarism. Few lines were added as fact, like you write "Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency" and not mention Satoshi's Whitepaper or Wikipedia. But for the sake of project, it has been fixed.

It literally took me less than 5 minutes to do a google search. I spent more time preparing the report than uncovering the plagiarism.  Cheesy

They are following different method to detect plagiarism and maybe due to this reason they failed to detect that their new whitepaper writer have stolen contents from other sources again. I have already checked their team section and i think after checking their team and whitepaper any experienced investor will be able to imagine what actually they are trying to do.

Some of it is still copied from other sources.

So i think after first writer now they are going to take legal actions against the new writer who made this one for them. Let's see what explanation they got this time. Maybe we are going to hear another self-made story again.

If it looks so small to you then will you please describe what is plagiarism actually. Most funniest thing is that you are trying to make everyone believe that you guys haven't done it intentionally where the truth is you guys have no ability to create a whitepaper by your own. Yeah it can be a small thing in your eyes but its a red alert for crypto investors.
Not everyone is writer, tell me if you start a project, will you write your Whitepaper 100% by yourself? Obviously not, you will describe the idea and get a famous/good content writer to make it professional. That's what we did. Tell me if the idea was also stolen.

At one time, I often saw whitepaper plagiarism. Indeed, sometimes generally accepted concepts can be quoted from other sources. But you should always refer to the original sources.
Do you start your business with deception, hire an inexperienced person who has no idea what cryptography and blockchain are? Are you serious? What can he write? And you blindly trust him without even checking it out.
Now, even by providing links to sources, the community will be suspicious of your endeavors.

You are not going to read 1000 Whitepapers (as founder) to find possible plagiarism. They did read it, marked it good and didn't have any idea about PECUNIO.
No one need to read 1000 whitepapers to find plagiarism when there is plenty of plagiarism checker online. I don’t think "Fatfork" checked 1000 whitepapers for detecting your whitepaper plagiarism where he can detect stolen just by spending some minutes only.

Why not? Atleast i will not publish the whitepaper without checking it.

I am clearly seeing that you are trying to put all the blame to writer like other fake project owners commonly put all blame to their web developers after getting caught with fake team or stolen contents. I am not seeing nothing but some promises like other 100$ crypto websites do and shut down their business after getting the website building cost.
Wait and see how it goes, the project Crimson Capitals has very ambitious vision. It's not a 100$ crypto/ico scam, atm we have nothing to say except this. This is not a usual development project, like in other projects people show solutions and create projects where there is not even a problem. Our project is simple, we trade/invest, make money and share it with our token holders through decentralized applications (DApps).

Note: Good/Professional content writer never steal contents from other sources. Only they do who haven't got enough fund to hire a content writer and use the magic of copy/paste by their own.
Don't worry, we are possibly going to file a police case against him for fraudulent charges. And the original version of Whitepaper will be released soon.

OP of this thread is one of person who has time to check your WP.
Probably that's his job. Simply.

Following your logic.. means founder's of this project is kind of lazy people. Creating doc file from other source. No?
Other source? tell me if you have a similar doc/pdf which is 80% similar to the idea. And they are not lazy people, they are more like "pay to get it done" type people because they are busy in their own fields, trading and investments.

Quote
What about this.. i create project that 80% of my wp is plagiarism from other project wp. Would you to invest your money to my project? Don't worry.. i am famous person.
80%? if you divide 8 by 33 and multiply it by 100 then it's 24.24% or roughly 25%. OP has mentioned 8 pages and the Whitepaper has 33 pages. The whole idea/concept is unique, only some additional contents were added by the rewritter from another whitepaper which we didn't know.

Tell us who in the world has time to check hundreds of whitepapers to find out possible plagiarism. ~

The Founder and Co-Founder described the idea, created a "doc" file and hired a local person (not someone over internet) to make a revision

..do not make it complicated. There are people with real identities working behind the project, who have dreams to establish a successful investment company.

I know at least a couple of other people disclosing the scam from the Croatian locale. The Croatian locale is very active this year.
You make the forum cleaner. Continue OP.
Good to hear that Croatian local users are coming forward to reveal scammers and undoubtedly they gonna add more powers to scam busters club.
Firstly, few "plagiarized pages" doesn't mean the whole project is fake.

Ah.. As i had predicted. Another same story and reason. Hiring a third party to create wp, then without re-check process, that wp is published on the website. It is very classic reason for all of us.
Your product is related to DeFi ... Finance, financial=trust .. How can we trust your project, if this "trivial" problem does not go through a proper internal audit process?
Big mistake!

Firstly, few "plagiarized pages" doesn't mean the whole project is fake. There is a different idea and business model which isn't similar to any other DeFi project, not also Pecunio. Honestly, I've heard the name of Pecunio today. The Whitepaper has been rewritten multiple times to make it perfect, the local person who was hired to rewrite the final version of it was new to crypto and blockchain, he was told to research on some top project's whitepapers. He made this mistake and we are sorry for this. We will keep only our original idea and take down everything else that matches the other Whitepaper that OP has mentioned. Personally I thank OP for notifying us about the plagiarism.
Kind Regards.

We have to be vigilant with these DeFi projects. This just shows that most of them are resorting to copying to get on board while this hype is still not over. If you are an investor, you can also do a quick research of your own if the project is not yet listed here in the scam accusations board. Because there will be more of them but not all are being caught. It is better to find out those scrupulous projects before you become a victim of yourself.

OP, I gave you merits because you put some good effort into exposing this instance of whitepaper plagiarism....but I'm really curious as to what other accounts you might have had in the past (or still control).  That's an off-topic question that I don't mean to get into in this thread, but it's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this thread and saw when you registered.

Hi, Pharmacist. I have no other accounts except this one. True, it may seem strange but I haven't been motivated to get involved in discussions before. There aren't too many crypto lovers in my circles so I'm mostly a loner on this topic. Wink
I used to lurk around here and found answers in other people's topics back in 2017/2018 but I abstained for a long time from the crypto scene because I lost a lot on scam projects during the ICO hype. Hence my appetite to uncover scam projects and thus give my contribution to this community. And this isn't my first scam busting rodeo, so to speak.  Grin
