The thing is, with the new altcoins you don't really have a choice. But yeah, only do business with people who have proven to be trustworthy

Whoa, there are a lot of cats in this wall.
A thief is about as dirt bag as it gets.  I'm sure he has some way to rationalize to himself that what he did was ok.  Scum always do.  But hopefully one day he wakes up and realizes that a few dollars isn't worth one's integrity and reputation.  Sometimes that's all we have left.

It's beyond me why someone would be willing to trash their reputation here for such a small amount of money

Seriously? Scamming someone for 10 LTC worth of coins is beyond tragic,to the scammer: Have you considered getting a job?

I always insist the other party go first unless they have a long history of trades on here. Some people have backed out, but on the plus side, haven't ever gotten scammed.

when I asked where my btc was this is his response

"sorry u got scammed :/"

I never would have thought a sr member would do this

Well at least he said sorry.
A polite scammer.

Sorry for what happened to you. Never trust strangers, and trade in small increments.

Nothing like healthy scepticism and hard evidence
1000 CNC? That is about 10 ltc? Honor this days is very cheap.
Present evidence here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=83.0 and he might end up with a scammer tag. His post above doesn't give him much credit, but he will get opportunity to defend himself.
