Then there is nothing you can do but to wait to what decision they will make about your account.
He could request a court order? This is a basic human right.

from my point of view, they are using a legal way to scam people, they can easily say that the information you sent to them is false and you are still playing as a professional player.
You can not legally scam someone! Scam is always illegal....

The longer the day, the more they can say, but at a court they have to deliver proof of what they say! Civil courts do not work based on saying something, logic or?

there is another accusation about powerbet but it's about using two accounts by the same person

this is some of powerbet.io rules.

Upon placing a bet, the customer confirms that they do not have insider knowledge or any other equivalent knowledge of the outcome or the course of the respective sports event.

Placing of bets on sporting events in which the customer is participating is forbidden. Participation is when the customer takes part in the event as a sportsperson, owner, trainer or official of a participating club or as an organizer. The same applies if the bet is placed on behalf of a participant in the above sense.

this is where they are basing the issue. it will be hard for you to prove your case the only thing you
can do for now is submit more info to prove that you are not participating in any of the events.

still, I can't say that they are a scam.

anyway, I hope you resolve your issue properly.

A quick look at Online Gambling Scams would have avoided this accident!

Powerbet.io has no terms and conditions, so you are right. Unfortunately, enforcement of your right would be time consuming and expensive.

My suggestion is continue to drive cars without an insurance and ask for free help if an accident happened. No one is willing to pay your enforcement costs, but sometimes you could get lucky. Wink

Do not forget, in sport no one (even "insiders") can guarantee to you that they will win or loss...

I tried to talk with people from powerbet.io, I sent them several e-mails ( I was very polite), tried to contact member "powerbet.io" on our forum but all that in vain...

Before our little dispute, they told me my account is flagged and asked me for a scan of ID document as well as "selfie" with it, so I have provided it to them...

Their statemenet: "Our final resolution regarding your account will be communicated to you soon." has never happened apart from removing my balance

I am open for all suggestions, advices etc

I don't think that this makes them a scam, it just shows their logic.  From their perspective even if you weren't in the team anymore you might still have close ties to them and bet differently (it's not very different you being on the team vs. you just having insider information).

If you talk reasonably to their support, don't insult them and preferably help them to understand your situation, you'll probably at least be able to get your Bitcoin out of there to a site that won't bother you so much.

Hmm tricky one, as you still could have connections to your old team and/or other clubs in the league and thus easily get insider information.

Nine times out of ten I'm on the player's side when it comes to bookie vs player confrontations but in this case I would say the bookie has good reason to close your account.

But you definitely should get back your deposit. Whatever the bookies have written in their ToS not one single bookie has the right to confiscate other people's money. So I hope this will be resolved in your behalf.

Wow that's super fucked. This is yet the most hilarious condition I have came across!
Wait.Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't players allowed to bet on the matches ? Since when ?
How did they find out that information about you ? Did you submit documents before playing on the site ?
How did they find your doxx ? Will they be finding doxx about anyone playing on their site ?

This is intense.I skimmed through their terms and conditions,no rule has been defined that freezes a players account if they're associated with any teams or any games.Pure Scam.

Hi everyone

so let's get this post going...

I am new in this forum and I will try to explain my recent issue with powerbet.io

I made an account at powerbet.io more than 2 months ago and made a deposit of 0.57 BTC. Since then I played some bets (3 singles which I won and 1 parlay which I lost) and gather in total some 1.45 BTC. 10 days ago I received e-mail from them telling me that my account is flagged and asking me to submit required documents... Few days after I get this e-mail

"Hi,

We have found out that you're a professional basketball player, currently playing for KK-Vrsac-Swisslion. You also played for Metalac, OKK Beograd and other teams. According to our records, your betting activity is centered on Serbian basketball league, which is against our terms and conditions (you even bet on a game in which your team was playing). Our final resolution regarding your account will be communicated to you soon.

Kind regards,
PowerBet Support"

First thing to clarify: I WAS basketball player bu now in retirement for a year
my winning single bets were made on basketball matches in : Serbian league, Adriatic league, Serbian National Cup
Their statement "you even bet on a game in which your team was playing" was so wrong... I played for that team I placed bet on 3 years ago

After sending them links to official basketball sites where everybody can see I am no longer in any team roster, after sending them several e-mails and contacting them on this forum in order to resolve our misunderstanding I got one big nothing...

Honestly, I am not feeling like letting them take my money

Best regards
