SCAM AND SCAMMING
This is a fraudulent or deceptive attempt to rob an individual or corporate organization of it's valuables including information. Scamming seems like a growing and trending field amongst youths and some adults of many nations. Scammers especially those who use the web as their domain uses the anonymity which the web provides to perpetuate a lot of evil and there is no limit to that which they can do. The question is, are they truly anonymous? My best guess is NO.
Today, scamming has taken several forms which often lives the victims in dismay. A person who engages in scam oriented activities is called a scammer. The question is,
WHY DO THEY SCAM?
Scammers are intellectual and smart people who has let laziness and insecurity get the better part of them. Hence, they get involve in scam oriented activities for various self comforting reasons. Some of these reasons are:
*They rely on the government of their nation to provide all that they need.
*They feel that due to their geographical location, background and resources, they aren't given equal opportunity.
*They have a taste for luxury and quick wealth which takes time, hard work and a lot of patience to attain, all of which they aren't sure they posses.
*They look out for a reason to apportion blame and a shoulder to cry on.
*They feel the world has been unfair to their situation and could have done more as to their liberation.
For these and many other reasons, they find moral justification to scam.
FORMS SCAM/SCAMMING ASSUMES
Most scamming activities are done over the web and are basically based on the acquisition of either of these two; personal information of value and money but for various reasons from threatening to finance but often ends in finance (either in Bitcoin, Altcoin or actual currency notes) and they assume these forms to act or perpetuate this act(scam):
1. INVESTMENT; scammers of Bitcoin and Altcoin prioritize in scamming those with a particular need to earn huge or acquire quick money at no cost in no time. It is a very risky venture as scammers present these opportunities in a rather appealing form with little or no risk taking. Hence, they prey on your enthusiasm to get hold of quick cash.
2. UNEXPECTED GIVEAWAYS; most persons enjoys give aways because it's often free but this is not often the case. Scammers has strategized a way in which, you are required to give a little token either in form of fee or information of value, they even go as far as tricking you to have won yourself a fortune and is required of certain task to speed up the acquisition process to access that which is kept in bulk for you and frauds you in the process.
3. FAKE SITES AND CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS; scammers create sites that looks closely like the original or an entirely different site with various testimonies from users that are likely them or their agents to boost your trust and confidence in their system or platform. Hence, you access and operate the platform, giving them informations of value through which, they fraud you of your investment, abuse your generosity and commits crime with your identity.
4. DATING AND ROMANCE; Due to the need to feel loved or have a romantic partner, a lot of individuals get involved in online and distance relationships with strangers. Scammers has prioritized on this and prey on the vulnerable and play with victims emotions by pretending to be prospective partners to the victims they meet on dating sites and social medias, move them to a less monitored and secured platform like hangout and telegram to perpetuate their scam oriented schemes.
5. BUYING AND SELLING; scammers project a product or project to the market and expect you to pay upfront before product delivery, they buy products with your personal acquired smart card details, sell your identity and fraud your customers with your details.
SCAMMING AS AN OPTION
Scammers are very rampant in almost every field of endeavors these days. A good number of scammers and scam oriented activities operates over the web as internet fraudster. This is morally wrong and can't be justified under any context. Putting yourself in the victims shoes might just give you a light as to how they feel to have been scammed. Sometimes, it's not about the value of what is been lost but the trust and relationship that have been built with the scammer. It feels really awful to be hurt emotional, robbed of your personal information/privacy and of your heart earned fund and investment. This has led most victims to seek the easy way out not excluding death. Scamming may seem more like an option for frustrated persons but the real question is;
*Is it the right option?
*Is it an option your proud of and morally justified?
*Do you feel secured as a scammer?
In my opinion, the answer to all the above question is NO! If so, why not stop and redirect your energy towards a more legitimate, positive, engaging and rewarding activity/lifestyle that you would be proud of and feel rather secured doing! For a fact, scamming is way more difficult than you care to imagine or notice. First, you get the necessary gadgets while being alert for updates, you target a prospective and vulnerable victim after careful studying, you get to be steady online, sometimes work with a crew, always on the lookout for loopholes so as to elude security operatives, gain the trust of your supposed victim, get then to move to a less monitored and secured platform like hangout and telegram, convince him/her to buy into your ideas and invest in your platform, your work time depends on their spare time and lots of stuffs like that. The worst of it is that, very few people fall into these tricks today. Isn't it rather stressful?
These energy can be used to put in work in a more legitimate field of life especially within this forum and your sure to ripe that which you seek.
