Are they going to implant this chip to a volunteer?

I'm thinking on how they are going to test this chip, for sure they are going to try it out from someone. And I agree with the sentiment of badecker that not every information that we can find on the web are facts. There are false information that we really can't deny.
Perhaps they will do so in the future.
Everything is possible ... but imagine the person who will be a volunteer.
He controlled the owners of the experiment.
Or died or there were other mistakes.
It is a great risk

Anybody will do anything they can think of for some reason. Part of this idea is to distract from the fact that they are doing this already, without a chip, through advertising.

I would rather keep it intact and I love how it functions normally.
Imagine you can understand the edge of the house and make calculations in your mind.
Can not you profit at the casino?
Or when you write a topic in the forum you will be able to formulate good information and will take the maturity  Grin Grin Grin

Nah, I think humans will just rely too much on the internet then. So I don't support this kind of innovation, it's can bring more harm to us as humans, why not scientist discovered how to tap those untapped brain cells in our mind so that we can used more of our brain in a very positive way?
It will have its pros and cons certainly.
Your idea is that the entire brain cells are being exploited.
Because we work only through a small part of our brain.

Definitely a lot of pros and cons and we could hear a lot of arguments about it.

For me we should left our brain as how it was design. Although its better if they can kind ways to exploit the entire brain but putting a chip in my brain? Thanks but no thanks.  Grin

If it is true and successful, then I say that is impossible. How can we entrust an answer to Google and Wikipedia from a question that there are still many things that are not wrong in these two sites?
If a person reaches this progress, it will be easy for him to know what is wrong and what is right.
Imagine that your mind is an informative encyclopedia.

This is a bad idea. How do we know? You can find false info in Google, and tons of it in Wikipedia. Using the eyes to read and see pictures of info in Google and Wikipedia, even though it is much slower, allows one to filter out what is false much easier. This keeps people from believing in science and other fiction that Google and Wikipedia want to force people to believe in.

Cool
You are right. But if that happens, you can know what is real and what is false.
Through brain analysis. And a faster search time through the eyes.

... if the connections are simple, and if they don't stimulate aspects of the subconscious in ways that start  to influence your perception of reality.

Interconnectivity through smart phones has produced a bizarre euphoria in lots of kids. Coming down off this euphoria has caused suicides.

I don't like the idea of controlling me. But I do like the idea of having access to more knowledge.

Science fiction  turns into reality.
Northwestern University experts are currently working on a brain chip connected to the Internet.
Which makes people think of information is immediately answered by Google or Wikipedia, for example
If it happens and works, it is. Will make humanity at another level of intelligence
what do you think Huh
