I am not sure about whether that is the reason. Support for Independence has always been higher among the Scottish males, than it is among the females. There are geographical variations as well. Those living in the Highlands are more likely to vote for independence, while those who live near the English border are heavily opposed to it.

If you notice I was speaking in general, not just about this specific scenario. As far as women are concerned conflict = less attention and resources dedicated to me, so conflict = bad. After all the men are the ones who will more than likely bear the majority of the strife working as a royal subject. Targeting the female class psychologically leading up to war is a well known and ancient battle strategy. Who wants to go to battle every day and risk their lives in a sea of death and gore, just to come home to a nagging wife? It is a very effective sapping technique.

For what it's worth, I hope Scotland stay. They're the only ones with any sense around here who don't vote for the Tories. If Scotland go, the rest of the UK is pretty much guaranteed to have a disgusting bunch of leeching Tory scum at the helm for the rest of forever. One term has been horrific enough and it's not even over yet. Sad
