Honestly, I see a number of posts in several places such as casinos, forums (especially bitcointalk), and other social media, that is they say SCAM. When other people ask, how can they fool you? and the victim answered, I played this way blah blah blah blah and then I lost it shouldn't be because I used the method blah blah blah blah (until his mouth was foamy).

Hold for a while, user play and lose ?, user trading and loss. Then where is the SCAM? The answer is NOT a SCAM, but rigged.
I agree with you that if a person simply loses, it's a scam. But I have not really seen many cases similar to what you are talking about. Most of the time when I see scam accusations, they are related to a situation where people cannot withdraw funds from a casino or something. Another kind of case somewhat resembles those you're talking about, but they are different nevertheless. I am talking about people who were playing and kept losing against the odds (literally, when it's a game with strict odds but you keep losing). And these people might be right because it can mean that a website states certain odds when they are actually way lower, so people lose because of casinos being unfair.

maybe if we talk scam, it leads to fraud like ponzi if for games like casinos, it is more rigged.

Maybe next time I will discuss fraud.
thank you for ur advanced

A rigged casino/platform is still a scam in my eyes. If you're scamming someone, you have the intention to use any illegal methods to gain profit, and rigging the system in a platform's favor, by any means and definition, is illegal, and therefore falls into the scam category. It's basically the same thing since the platform is trying to fool people into playing their "rigged" game for the ultimate intention of scamming them.

Simple solution to this: don't try to play on sites that has no name yet or haven't done anything to get their brand out in the open to compete against other platforms.

Also, this should better be moved to Service Discussion and not here.

lol where did you see something stupid like this?i have not seen any same scenario as you have mentioning because losing is part of gambling or trading so there is no point that we can call this as scamming(not unless you are the one who is doing such?)lol
You withdraw your money and you don't get your money!
Already UNDERSTANDING for newbie? who likes screaming SCAM in chat rooms?

this is the true scamming that i believe happening until now, like some exchange or gambling sites that when you are using their platform you will find no issue as they are allowing you freely but things will change when time comes that you need a withdrawal specially when involving big amounts that they will Include you in freezing or holding without valid proof.

its all the same thing, if i lose money because the site is just full of manipulation and that my bet was cancelled yet the funds were not returned. its still the same thing, although i would first submit ticket and if resolve then i can go on betting again. it takes a day to get things resolve and often times users will just shout scam to get the attention of whose in charge. its like shoot first and ask questions later and it works most of the time in this wild west crypto.

As bad as stupidity is its more like making mistakes, now tell me how will one move forward if they are playing it so safe and avoiding all mistakes? failing forward is a step closer to success, what i don't like is making mistakes and not taking is as your responsibility

Scam is the way to trick a nice person or innocent people, to give you money, while giving him/her a promise that can't be deliver
to them, its an act of cheating them knowing their weakness, this kind of thing is a work of a weak people that can't work because
they just wan't easy money, screaming scam doesn't mean your stupid that means they are a victim of people who can't do things
right in their life, and get the easy way out by victimizing people with their money

Either way, scam or rigged, when someone posted a thread and you get the point that he lost money in gambling, that's it. Regardless of the word used, if you know and understand what the others are trying to tell, that's fine. I don't mind if people would use the word scam even if it is not the exact word to describe it. Though correcting is a good thing for them to learn the difference.

This is a common stereotype between noobs in the crypto space. The word "scam" is literally used everytime they lose money, especially on gambling sites, though there are many bucket shop out there created to steal money. However I think the best way to avoid "scams" is for them to stop FOMOing in everything a do some decent due diligence before jumping the gun..

Please let us all understand people, not every people has been wise at first, not all people has been very vigilant but that doesn't mean they are stupid, they just have been so careless and this should be a lesson learned for everyone. Even the intelligent person also has been victim of scam, so please let's not say stupid things, we are here to help everyone not to tell people that we are 'smarter than them.
I do agree, but it is not about being careless, it is all about lack of knowledge and experience to take the right decision and actions to this kind of situation. But the good thing is, when things like this happen to them, they will most likely learn from their experience and become a better man to take actions and will show that they grow as they stay in crypto world.

who is stupid,? You yourself made a thread out of place, You should make this silly thread in the off-topic section, Maybe you need to read this to find out what a scam is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scam_(disambiguationShocked

Nope this should actually be moved to the Gambling section, because it is more applicable to that section. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

What OP, must understand is the language differences and what people see as scams and also when something is rigged for you to also lose your

money.  Cloud mining sites are scams or to be more specific, Ponzi schemes and gambling sites with rigged software are also scams, because people

lose their money there too. They could tell you the games are Provably Fair, but it might not be, then it is a scam.  Wink

Call it scam, rigged or cheat, the bottomline is that an individual has been defrauded and made unhappy. Most persons that fall victim of these act often fail to carry out their own due diligence before involving themselves. If due diligence is done, an individual will often find red flags on a platform that isn't legit.
Yes , scams really affects people in also their feelings and emotions. Dont call them stupid because they are just only a victim of those people who dont really have conscience and even care to others. The victims needed to be aware to everything and let us help them so that they will not be scammed again and they will help others too.

Well said, just like everyone else we also made some mistakes and bad choices in life. It's just that there are some people and situations that affects our decisions and sometimes it doesn't turn out great but we are trying our best to get rid of it. It's kind of difficult particularly these days that you can't easily trust anyone or anything because you don't know their true intention. We are not perfect but we keep on learning and it helps us to be stronger and wiser.

People who ranting because they got scammed are dumb, they blaming others and they do not blame their selves. It's their own fault to believe in such claims by scammers. I also a stupid person before because I got scammed, but now I'm sure that I can now protect my funds because I have knowledge and for me it is power. You can protect your funds if you have knowledge about the investment that will you take. Do not become blindly just because an investment are offering so much rewards. It just their tactics to attract more victims.

Of course, people can lose money if one is not going to be careful whether it is trading or gaming. Now, on the matter of the system being rigged, the best is to get out and not participate. In many cases, there will always be red flags and people who feel that they are being victimized can be found online warning others not to be another victim. In the world of cryptocurrency, there are many scammers, people who are finding out that taking a residence in this industry can be profitable, so we have to make sure we are doing our due diligence otherwise we will just charge the whole thing to experience.
Yes! I think being scammed for the first time is not stupidity , we are prone to be scammed because we are being not aware in everything we tend to join every single project that we are seeing because we need money, we want to earn but the lack of education hits us so hard that is why we became victim but then when we are scammed by second or third then I think that is stupidity.

Rigged things are the same as scams mate. They both involve deception, and the stealing/tricking of users funds, and the funds ending up in the hands of the scammer, or in this case, the casino.

Casinos will usually operate on a system known as "provably fair" which is basically a system that does all the bets for you and makes the results as random, and as uncontrollable as possible - just don't gamble anywhere without this provably fair system.
