I'm firing up my Solo CPU miner on my old laptop with Core node using "Compromised Alert Keys". This is for you Satoshi!

Thats really not got gonna profit you. CPU will not generate you more than 100 H/s (that is also way lot) and your old CPU will heat up pretty soon. Im sure this hash rate won't get you roi anytime. If you go for mining with nice hash then you will end up mining minimum cash out criteria in a year or so. That would be not profitable you would have paid 10-20 times more electricity bills and internet charges for that. Lolz. Really laughing while imagining that one.

Your thread reminded me of a friend I have that started an experiment. He maintains control over a Barely Used meeting room at the local library. I have to find out where he's at with this, but he told me about a year ago that he shoved a 60 gigahertz per second Asic into the server room there and set it up on slush's pool. He does a lot of work for the library so he's not stealing anything from them just grabbing the free WiFi and electricity.

I would definitely like to read up on how your friend is doing over there, i'm just loving the idea, makes me want to find a spot to hook up and start free mining.

I believe it takes ages before they would actually find out. Even if someone does find the source for the higher electrical bill, they would have a hard time figuring out what the ''machine'' is doing Cheesy

Personally I think if he hasn't checked on it that long it probably felt it out at some point and it's just sitting there but you never know maybe an actually found a block or two. Even a year ago 60 gigahertz per second wasn't going to touch anything but he might have gotten some moderate rewards on slush's pool.

Oh boy that's too much workload to your laptop. I'm sure it will be dead soon. The heating of CPU will be way lot and have you considered your electricity bills man? I know I can read your love towards satoshi but I'm sure he would want you to do something greater than this.

CPU mining will not produce you any profits and you gonna pay lots of electricity bills this year.

By the way curious for further updates. Let's see where it takes you. :-)

I am pretty sure he is joking, but this is what I would be worried about too. When I mined Dogecoin back in the day, my laptop almost died and shut down multiple times from the extreme heat.

BitcoinBarel is just trolling you guys Smiley
to have an old miner/laptop or a USB stick to solo mine in  a hope of hitting it solo
is very common, not a big chance to get a block, but if you have nothing better to do with your equipment
or electicity, haha, you are welcome to try

Is this still profitable or you just expressing yourself. I have read lots reviews about solo mining and being new I'm looking for good opportunities here. If this is still btc generator then I have got three laptop which I can really compromise in btc mining.  Do share more info please.

It's not profitable... This setup will make 20 cents in btc a year on average while consuming hundreds of watts 24/7.

The chance of hitting a block is lower than winning the lottery.

I'll also add that for any significant lottery, the payout is much larger that 12.5 BTC. While I don't actually play in any lotteries, they represent Life Changing Money.

got two block found but seems like too heavy for me lol

you didn't find 2 blocks, there were 2 blocks added to the blockchain by someone else while you were mining, so your miner got new block headers to hash...

If you actually did manage to solve a block, would the software you are using have it signal BIP 141? Because if not, the miracle block might just be invalid!
