Better yet can someone invest it for me?  I will pay you 15% of the earnings.

Just send me your deposit address.

But only if you promise, cross your heart hope to die, that you are legitimate.

A website and referrals a must!  If you have no website or referrals you are probably a scam and I will not consider you.

Thanks, UOG

Well, you guys have fun with this.  And BTW, it is not trolling, it is telling the truth, something that no one else seems to care to do.  Telling the truth just might stop this from happening in the future.

I tend toward the theory that telling prospective investors don't invest will have more effect than telling victims that they're idiots. You call it telling the truth, I call it blaming the victim, not the scammer.

How, pray tell, am I supporting scrypt.cc? I mean, I realise you're trolling, but I'm biting - so tell me how, please, do go on.

You are really that stupid?   Ok, here we go.

Scenario 1

1. Scam site opens

2. PEOPLE ACTUALLY THINK AND DO NOT INVEST

3. Scam site cannot actually support themselves and closes.

Scenario 2

1.  Scam site opens

2. People just willy-nilly throw funds at it because the tooth fairy and santa claus might actually exist and rain BTC on the pillow overnight

2. The "other" group tells them, "It will be ok, you did just fine not doing a bit of research and handing your money to the stranger in the dark alley promising sugar plums".

3. The idiots that invested eventually give up on the first site and move on the new and brighter empty dreams because the never realize just how stupid they were in the first place.

4.  Scam site reopens under new domain, new name and welcomes the idiots right back in

Scenario 3

1. Scam site opens and stupid people invest...blah...blah

2.  They lose their money and actually feel stupid for being stupid, no one tells them it is going to be ok and THEY LEARN SOMETHING!!!!!!!

3. Scam site reopens and those same idiots NEVER INVEST

How, pray tell, am I supporting scrypt.cc?

Because none of your scenarios seem to describe what I do, have done, or will do (I guess you didn't bother following the link I posted, eh?) You, sir, are not a very good troll.

I am sure you will.  There are always people out there to help you feel better about your mistakes so that you can make even bigger ones the next time around.  I prefer people that point out the truth, give me a sense of just how stupid I was and promote a sense in me to not do these things again in the future.  But, do not worry, there will always be someone there to hold the hand of the stupid and pat them on the back for their stupid acts and encourage them to forge into the future and screw up some more.

Don't be so disheartened - I'm sure there'll be some one around to victim-blame and deflect from the scammer too.

God, I hope there is someone there to point the finger at the real problem.  The fact is that the higher the number of idiots out there, the greater the chance that these sites will continue.  You guys are doing a great job supporting them, so please, continue forward, the world needs more blind rushing into the fire.

I don't understand why this is still being talked about.  It was a scam from day 1 and yet here it is months later and there is still talk here on the forum.  If you put money into this it is gone, now stop talking about how horrible your choice was and move on to the next scam to complain for months and months about.

It isn't really still being talked about like that - there's one group warning people off with Public Service Announcements (big red warnings), a few folk who stumble across the thread after they've been scammed and are looking for help (and deserve our sympathy and support to recover as much of their funds as possible), and a dwindling number of people who thank Admin for every satoshi that leaks through Marcello's fingers.

No one deserves sympathy and support.  They joined an unknown program and invested in a brand new site with active funds.  They actively gave their money away in the hopes that some miracle dream would replace their mundane existence.  They had it coming and should quietly accept their fate.

OK. Well, I'm lucky I didn't make this mistake with scrypt.cc, and I've been pretty shrewd with BTC in general, but I hope when I inevitably screw up I encounter people with slightly more sympathy than you.

They had it coming and should quietly accept their fate.

Not really. That is exactly what the scammers want, for people to just give up their lost funds and walk away. Instead, they should do whatever they need to in their local jurisdiction to report this fraudulent scam. At least that way there's a chance the criminals will eventually be held to account for their theft.

That the website is still up will serve to show it is still attempting to defraud people. Also, that the website is still running means there'll be a live electronic trail back to whomever is currently responsible for it.

So the longer it remains, even under its current mode of diminishing-payouts ponzi-script operation, the more time an investigation has to probe its operation and track down the guilty.

You seriously think that is going to work?  If you show me 1 single Satoshi recovered from that site in court or through a legal manner I will double whatever you recover.  That is why these sites work because there is absolutely nothing you can do and you and every person that has wasted their time trying to recover funds should know this.  You are now taking time that you could be using to actually produce income and wasting it in the same manner as when you invested in the first place.

Are really going to be paid. There is no response from support. I have sent a couple tickets that have no response. If they pay out, I will appreciate

Awww, bless, are there still people who think their "Where's my money?" support ticket is going to be answered?

Damn, and there's me having only just today updated my signature to another scam because I figured there really couldn't be any more people left clinging to this one.
