So what's the competition like here as compared to say Pokerstars? Also is the volume mostly low stakes?

Unfortunately, at least on average, the level of player here is pretty damn good.  There are a few tilters and some utter degenerates, and the occasional really horrible player.  But in general, the level of player is much higher than on Pokertards.

I think this has a lot to do with the fact the player base is largely comprised of American players who were locked out of the poker market after Black Friday after years of playing online, and who got back in largely because of just finally having a site where we could play again.  I think the fish base, such as it is, is comprised of people who have more Bitcoin than sense and got into poker fairly recently.

The last part is very true. When I first started it was more of a site where you could gamble your bitcoins. Lots of non-poker players. Now the competition is much more difficult.

game quality has gone a lot worse compared to a few months ago... less fish and way more regs (maybe
due to the rise in BTC price) ...

nevertheless looking forward to the Q1 2014 release of the new software!!!

hey Micon. Any plans on increasing the rate krill is earned? With higher BTC price, the lower the stakes that will be played. Achieving higher krill levels would be impossible.

As a long time poker player i am kinda interested in a solid longterm poker site for BTC, but main concern is always security. Specificity facing a "superuser" is a very large possibility in the new and developing area which btc-poker is.

I suppose we all have this fear after the multiple scumbag sites that seem to be ever present in online poker.  Lolz at Full Tilt shooting off those player funds.  Lolz at Lock Poker 8 month withdraw.  Lolz at a AP & UB raping their biggest players.  It's disgusting.

Without getting into too much detail for security reasons, we run a bunch of scripts to check for cheating.  An external superuser, no matter how good, would almost certainly be caught.  Players would get raped, shady hands every 3rd hour, etc.  An internal superuser I suppose you would always have to be scared of.  "Provably fair" doesn't really exist for poker for the same reason why we love poker - there are so many human variables in an otherwise math game.  When you play on SwC you really do put a lot of trust in our hands.  I fully understand anyone who wishes to stay away, branding us as crypto-freaks and weird dudes.  IMO if you crawl the 2+2 and this epic ~1M view thread, you can see very plainly in our players' words how we handle issues, how they think the games play, and just about every other metric you are looking for - I think you'll find we crush in every area except connectivity, and we are going to solve that issue like we have every issue before.
