I've seen it, on rare occasions, attempt to reconnect, but never seen that actually work.

In a recent update it supposedly started doing this, but I don't think it works well. I'll see what's up with that and if it can be improved.

The greatest annoyance of Seals is that even the briefest disconnect kills the client.  The software is also too stupid to know that it has been disconnected, and since people there often play fairly slowly, you often do not notice until a minute or so passes, when someone would have otherwise started to time out.

You then manually have to reconnect, by which time your own hand is usually folded.  Just in the past couple days, it's folded me with trip kings and a pair of queens before the flop, and over the course of the past couple months, innumerable times with nothing worth caring about.

This software should notice when it's disconnected and simply reconnect.  Every other poker site does this, even the shitty ones.  Most of them do it without even giving a message, so I hadn't even noticed how often I have barely noticeable (10 ms or so) service blips.

What is particularly exasperating about this is that this capability is basically built directly into TCP, and the Mavens software uses TCP to connect to the server.  If they could fix this one tiny thing, it would go a long way to convincing me that I'm wrong about my belief that the Mavens software is written by mongoloid cretins.

Strange recent problem.  Any time I get disconnected with more than one table open, the site immediately locks when I reconnect.  I hear maybe two or three seconds of the sound effects if something is going on, but nothing moves.  I can't move the windows or click any buttons, although it brings up the menu if I click "Leave" to "Leave Table."

This means I'm basically locked out of the site until either I get blinded out of one of the tournaments, or get removed from one of the ring games for timing out.

This makes it basically impossible to play more than one table, and if I forget I have registered for the freeroll, the freeroll coming up locks me out of the tournament I paid to enter.

This happens on OS X and Ubuntu, on any of my computers, under Firefox, Safari, or Chrome, and does it even after I updated Flash.

It never did this before, now it does it all the time.

That's pretty serious. I'll pass it on to the software company immediately.

It is really surprising to me that this happens across all those browsers and OS. Are you completely closing the browser before trying again? I assume you have had it fail on one computer and switch to another?

It would help debug if you tried logging in with a different account when you are stuck out. That should work if being in multiple tables is what is freezing it.

Unfortunately, I can't think of anything to recommend in the meantime besides not multi-tabling.

How recently did this start? I've not had another report yet.

Starting back on Nov 19th 6max will get the same table starter RB as 9max.

There will be changes to table starter rakeback sometime in the next few weeks in order to factor in krill, but 6max will stay equal with 9max.

A few bits of news.

We're trying a 6max MTT tonight at 10pm, I know it is short notice, but if it gets any interest at all we'll do it same day and time next week.

We've got a new 10000 chip freeroll for players who have earned 50000 krill. There are only 24 of them so far and 17 in striking distance so it should be good value for some time. It will run every 530 hours and rotate between PLO, PLO8 and NLHE. The first one is next Monday at 6pm ET.

If you're wondering why we're scheduling by the hour in strange amounts (50, 140 and 530), it's so that no one will be permanently excluded by work or other obligations regardless of schedule or time zone. Sometimes it will be convenient for you and other times not.

what a guy?!?!  Why the generosity?

Always gotta spread the bitcoin love.  Every now and then when I have a good week playing on Seals I'll toss out some coin, hope a guy runs it up and learns about both bitcoin and selswithclubs.

Are you partying because the starfish finally got scammerified?

Lolz just took a look at long-term offers for the first time in a while.  That section has been clear-cut, as it should be.  I stopped being active when it was clear the house of cards was falling and it no longer seemed like a legitimate section to new users.  I just toss out free Seals chips from time to time / this one didn't have to do with anything but I'm glad Patrick finally got the scammer, he caused so much harm to the naive with his A++ scam credit ratings in addition to his own personal scam.

I would like to see deeper ring tables (200bb - 500bb).  Can these be created?

I think we'll try 100-200bb in the near future.
