For me both are necessary and also both must be amounted moderately because too much of the two becames too bad and instead of happiness, it might bring sadness and greed. Hehe, from my pure life experience its both and more. I call it wholness. See it as a wheel you have to keep round so it (Your Life is balanced) can roll smoothly or scroll bars You have to continually rise. Components are:
- meaning in service, job, career, mission, vision, goal, path, Dharma, call it whatever, selfrealization
- flourishing relationships
- material abundance
- health (mental and physical - its one thing)
- joy, flow, passion, laughter, bliss
