Regardless of what wallet it is, possibility of being hacked is there. We are responsible in the security of our private keys, so in your friend's case myetherwallet is not the issue imo. Unfortunately, there is no other way to get back the coins unless the hacker send it back which is unlikely to happen.

My ways of protecting my Eth Wallet/Private keys:
1. I saved my private key in a safe place (offline : away from the PC that I am using everyday)
2. I don't open my wallet every time I want to check my coins/tokens balances, instead I check my address through block explorers (etherscan.io , ethplorer.io)
3. I have Metamask and EAL chrome extension to be warned if I visited a phishing/malicious site
4. Whenever I need to open my wallet and do a transaction, I manually type myetherwallet URL in my browser's address bar (I never access the site through easy clickable links anywhere)
5. After opening the site, I double/tripple check the URL and the green MYETHERWALLET LLC [US] before unlocking my wallet

I manually type myetherwallet URL in my browser's address bar - this is the best advice to avoid phishing sites. Once you get to real MEW make a bookmark so next time the browser will advice the right link. What relates to the storing of your private keys - just buy Ledger/Trezor and forget about this problem Wink

Can add, that if do not have a hardware wallet, do not store your passwords on your PC. And if you keep the data, then encrypt it so that if you catch the virus, hackers could not access your data.

Unfortunately, it's impossible to return money, which was stolen from MEV.  There are 3 options why it happened - or your friend went to a phishing site.  Or your friend kept the secret key on the computer.  Or he got a virus on his computer.  (To avoid the latter you must not  click on other people's links).

No one can revert back the stolen tokens and eth. Avoid phishing sites, store your crypto in a hardware wallet. And be careful when you visit websites and keep an eye out.

I doubt he was hacked, probably he clicked on a phishing site instead or somehow got his private key accessible to someone. In any case I wonder why he would decide to keep 150 eth in mew instead of using a hardware wallet.Your best bet at keeping your coins safe is to use a hardware wallet such as ledger or trezor

I'm using Metamask to secure my mythical wallet, but hacking still happens normally!

I realy dont understand what you mean by that. If someone is entering your mew with metamask, than he is most probably doing that from your pc. Remote control of some kind like TeamV, or he  found your pass somewhere where you wrote it down, saved on pc...

currently the best way to safe your asset is use wallet hardware
"myetherwallet' strongly recommends it or at least uses metamask, we must beware with phishing link

The only way to "hack" MEW is phishing. I wonder why the heck your friend didn't use hardware wallet having that amount??? Trezor or Ledger wallets are totally secure, because they keep private keys and the only thing they do is signing messages with the chosen private key. So you aren't able to compromise private keys at all.

If you have enough money to buy 150 ETH, you have enough money to buy a hardware wallet. This should be one of your main priorities if you have a significant sum invested.

You are surely asking a lot of question
Secure Myetherwallet in the best way?, Who can help me?
Don't click any suspicious link which you found on telegram, slack and other social media.
Don't download any suspicious bot/program (100% winning bot, 100% profit trading bot)
Don't tell your private key to anyone.

I wonder your friend's myetherwallet how to hacked?
If the private key is not compromised, the probability of being invaded is almost zero, and I don't know how it can be accessed at so many address the same time.
