It's nice that he's paying back, although I wouldn't consider it a positive transaction.

Gotta say I'm impressed that Jake is at least making a good-faith effort to pay this back.

Anyone ever got their head pounded over a BTC loan yet?

I don't believe so, but you'd think Shakaru would be first in line, not Jake Wink

jake , can you tell us your project, you used the loan for a new website

is it ready yet ?

No I cannot right now, I am working with a very large company, and they love it. So once it is ready, and I have permission to discuss the project, then I can.

I am not here to scam, last thing I need is Alex coming by my house with the ol' baseball bat. If I was here to scam, I would ignore his PM's and cut off communication - which I haven't.
I guess my question would be: Why did you want to borrow cash at an effective rate of 258,000% APR?

Probably because it was the cheapest capital he had access to.

Loan is now frozen at 326.4. I will not charge any further interest.

First repayment of 14.35 has come in. Remaining debt is now 326.4 - 14.35 = 312.05 BTC

Jake is communicating well and is determined to pay off his debt. I will continue to update as the debt is paid off.

That's a nice thing for you to do, maybe I'm an usurer Tongue

lol, he shouldn't have borrowed in the middle of a huge rally.

Well that is unfortunate and unpredictable.

Borrowing bitcoins for fiat projects has this risk, and it is large while bitcoin is undervalued, which I believe it is.  I think both borrowers and lenders are vastly underestimating it; recalibration seems to be taking a while.

I predicted this one!

He probably isn't a scammer, think about it, unless he is doing any other kind of transaction with that user in this forum, he would just stop replying to PMs.

Unless he hasn't done any payments, in that case he's probably a scammer.

Loan update: Jake is not able to repay the loan in full at this time, however, we have setup a payment plan and he is working to pay it off over time. I will update the thread as payments come in to reduce the principal on the loan.

not sure why you decided to go for a lump sum return on this one, I'd have gone for weekly paybacks, but I guess hindsight is 20/20.
