Currently, user's statistics on reports have two figures: The number of total reports; and the percentage of correct reports. Therefore, the reporter badge will be given to users based on the two figures, like what we have not with rank system that depends on both activities and merits.

Btw, BitBlender wiped out by owner, so it is good if you take Blender's avatar and signature off.  Tongue
Since you are not aware of it, there is a report history too along with the amount of good, bad and unhandled reports, don't worry you will get there with time
@hd49728 when it comes to bitblender it is just a homage as i was in the campaign for years.

If theymos is planning to implement a badge system for good reports who takes their time to make the forum better then he will only take into account the good reports as a benchmark and not the amount of reported posts, theymos will only implement things that are logical and hence do not worry about that  Wink the main reason theymos did not make any major changes to that report system is simply because the people who report will do so even if there is no  status quo  Tongue.

Because if someone reports, let's say,  10.000 posts, there is quite a high chance s/he will have 300 or even 1000 of those reports will be considered as "good", but, if for reasons unknown the other 9.700/9.000 reports are pure BS, said person would still have the "good reporter" badge when only a 3/10% of those reports are accuarate. Similar to the trust system in a way

Not sure at all whether this has been proposed, as 20+ pages are quite a long reading, but I feel that if this system was to be implemented, it should also take the percentage of good reported posts into account. April fools are gone now and were cool to had something under the username, any info about those badges?
Based on what we saw in April Fool, I have a feeling that we even don't need badges for reporters.
Simply put the titles for each level of reporters are cool enough.
For example:
Poor reporter
Good reporter
Intermediate reporter
Advanced reporter

Colors:

Red: Poor or spam reports most of the time to try get badge/ title; whilst Green: Basically usually have good reports.
Cutoffs for each level should be discussed more.
Example:
Good: 500 good reports
Intermediate: 2000 good reports
Advanced: 5000 good reports
I would prefer a badge instead of text titles...
It's cooler to have a badge (only my opinion), and it saves space for possible other badges in the future Smiley
So I would go for the original idea, to have a badge

I'm not good at picture editing but love the idea been discussed above so I decided to drop my suggestion too.
Post reporting is also post policing so why not use their image for better representation Smiley.

How about;
1 police officer image for 300 good reports
2 police officers image for1000 hood reports
3 police officers image for 5000 good reports

My suggestions has been pushed down by other suggestion and i just taught of bumping it upwards. Like i said previously the police badge will represent the idea more effectively without even explaining to someone. once they see your badge they'll understand you're a law enforcement agent on bitcointalk.

Sounds sad but I’m looking forward to this being implemented. Shame it’s quite far down in theymos’s to do list.

That's what happens when you come across unexpected issues especially due to it being novelty. I'm not sure what is above it on his list so I'm intrigued to find out what those are! Hopefully, the Bitcointalk guides/youtube channel. That would be interesting. I'm not sure about the youtube channel just yet but it would still be somewhat intriguing.

I think the original looks more clean but... meh. Hard to get details like shadows right at this scale. Everything is now in the gallery
The idea is good but using it as a forum badge will be a serious legal issue unless you can get a copyright licence from Nintendo™.
A pacman-look-alike yellow thing can be a good replacement though.
(Doubt it, it's impossible to alter a yellow circle with a 45° slice Undecided)

Read this:
they must be copyright-free.

Pac Man is from Nanco.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Namco_games

And it is a brand license that would be necessary.

DO not google pacman, it is hard to stop playing  Grin

Looking good, just need the blue one as well, and a Pacman that's got the same style.
Find me an example of the pacman style and I will do it too.
Hm, most likely this one:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Original_PacMan2.png

I did a left and a right version. Everything is now in the original gallery link.

[edit: I am going to redo it because I don't particularly like these results, seem a bit off. The new ones will be in the gallery ]

Every OCD user on the forum would be reporting posts until their eyes bleed trying to get that Pacman.

Hm, Pacman might need some border or something, that's not enough contrast Sad
