//EDIT:  I've written to my exchange specifically asking them to *not* list your abysmal shitcoin and to ignore any requests to add it.  I encourage others to do the same.  //

This is not the original SegWit2x proposal.  Not even close.  Why would you even call it SegWit2x when it clearly involves a 4MB blocksize, along with all the other changes that weren't in the original fork?  Not to mention, on top of every other highly dubious design decision, you're stealing coins from keys that don't belong to you on this chain as an incentive to distribute to other people?  Introducing Satoshi's coins back into circulation.  How is theft an incentive unless you're a criminal?  It's a perversion of what Bitcoin was meant to be.  GTFO, you don't belong here.

Quote
I promise that all BTC holders will receive not only B2X in the ratio of 1 to 1, but also a proportional number of Satoshi Nakamoto`s Bitcoins as a reward for their commitment to progress.
Jaap Terlouw, Founder of the project Thieving Scumbag

It's just a shameless cash-in attempt by appropriating a name that people recognise and passing it off as your own.  If people invest in this shit, they deserve to have their funds stolen, because the devs are clearly okay with that.  I've seen some low things in my time on these boards, but this is something else.

For everyone else, it should go without saying, but don't import any private keys into their client until people have had an opportunity to evaluate the code, just in case this fork is as dodgy as it sounds.

Segwit2x is coming near and yet most users still don't know a thing about it and just considers it a regular fork=free coin.

The idea of Segwit2x in theory is good. It could mean more and faster transactions. But the problem is it was planned in a shady manner by big companies that made everyone mad.
These companies treat this hardfork as if its a compromise when we're supposed to find the best solution possible. This could be achieved through technical arguments, peer review, and of course open discussion. Segwit2x did nothing of these, it was agreed in a closed door meeting without the core developers. Segwit2x somehow represents centralization and control over bitcoin.

It looks to be back on ! Is this correct or just false news. I would have thought the cypto community would have known about this well before Christmas.

https://themerkle.com/segwit2x-to-be-reborn-in-coming-weeks-ahead/
Is this legit? If yes, then what should we do? do we have to do some things like what we did on recent fork( it is last august i think)

i have questions :
what does fork do to bitcoin? Does it have an effect on bitcoin so forks are needed? please someone answer my question and enlighten me.
I hope this helps you : https://www.coindesk.com/forks-might-help-bitcoin-reach-true-destination/

What hurts more is the lack of information & the time should be spread at( especially with the current congestion of network blockchain ) such information .
Hope it will be real this time

Dear members, your help is highly appreciated. Feel free to submit a support ticket to your favourite exchange and ask if they foresee the Segwit2x fork listing anytime soon.
The larger and more active the community is, the faster exchange platforms should commit to a fork

Hi friend and don't go running off again because I had to hold the fort for you in recent days and
it would be better coming from you yourself.

How many members from the old Segwit team are in the new Segwit2x team ?

Seems like many people people "Bankers" are doing all they can to hide whats going on
with this new fork and propaganda seems to be flying around like mad so can you please
try to convince people that it's not just a copy of the old block-chain with a tweak to the code
because anyone can do that to hijack what we already have.

Segwit2x? I've heard a lot about it recently, but there's no specific link to it.
What about some searching? Here the website link: https://b2x-segwit.io/

I'm surprised, don't know what bitcoin core would says about this hardfork, as it's maybe impossible if cores don't approve it.
It may be a fud news if there is no official statement from core developers.
Look at this: This is a sponsored press release and does not necessarily reflect the opinions or views held by any employees of The Merkle.
Someone or some people have paid The Merkle to release this article, which mean can't be trusted. Huh

So this is the time we get ready for another sucker punch! I think this time people want convert their BTC to fiat at all the way they did in last segwit stuff. They will enjoy the reward rather than watch others enjoying it! Um, but lets hope this time it actually changes everything in the BTC, the transaction speed, confirmation timing and the most important fees that they are taking. These are the problems they must cover up and give out something bright for us.

I have also heard these rumors, apparently they want to increase the blocks to improve transactions. Maybe this news is one of the causes that Bitcoin is taking back its price.

PS: it coincides with the day of my birthday, so I hope it is a good birthday gift and allow bitcoin to increase even more.

Yes I did look into this fork and we have much propaganda flying around about it
as if someone very big does not want it to happen but it does seem to be going ahead

It will trade as B2X and the price was about $1000 the last time that i looked and if
the coins are free and work nice and fast then what have we got to loose

My post about Lightning seemed to vanish at lightning speed
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/lightning-network-and-all-you-need-to-know-for-dummies-2648868
I don't think Lightning network is going to save anyone and I am not alone with
my concerns so anything for now that takes a load of BTC is doing all the alt-coins
a service and might give them some breathing space to come up with a better plan
