How can I find out if your application collects personal information, client documents in some database? To provide documents, you need to earn great confidence from customers. Since personal data and documents can be used against the interests of their owners.

Will selfkey also act like an ERC20 wallet like MEW with the document storage right?

Yes it will store all Ethereum based Tokens as far as I know
As far as I understand, when you create a wallet on this platform, thoughts will pass the proof of identity, and in the future (with the participation of ICO and other projects), these actions will not be needed. The main thing to pay with this platform. But then you lose your anonymity! Or I'm wrong?

Well I assume you lose your anonymity in the same way as you would make a classical KYC process at the moment during an ICO. At least I assume that you still have to give out your date, just now it is automatic.

So, with your platform investors would not have to pass KYC in future ICO?

I think that if an ICO is hosted or connected to Selfkey you won't need to do another KYC because your data is already stored in Selfkey

In general, the idea of the project deserves attention, although I do not see any prospects for a big profit here, but I'm also interested in the next question, which I myself can not find an answer in the documents: if I provide a fake passport, who will verify the authenticity of the document?

They maybe using some professional service like idnow for the initial verification. its very scrupulous and you can hardly get away with fake documents.

According to the website and whitepaper, they're planning to enable users an access to a lot of serious services like e-notary, citizenship matters and much more, which is a whole new level. I believe they will be able to verify an authenticity of a document and forgery is a serious crime.

That is interesting features.

But for e-notary or citizenship matters, they should have some agreement with countries I guess. Any country on board?

Yes they work with notaries on their ecosystem. All of the services are completely serious and authenticity is forefront!
I agree, they have a solid team of lawyers. Everyone has a wonderful biography and a lot of experience in this plane. I think these guys know their business!

This project is in Delevopment since 2013 and just recently started Marketing - exemplary!
THIS is what the Cryptosphere needs, I wish all projects were more like SelfKey.

Right, having an existing business under KYC-Chain Ltd. since 2013 makes Selfkey a much more valid project as most other ICOs.

true that, but I think the fact they will assist with the KYC process is more valuable than people think.

How would you compare yourself to CIVIC? Are you competing with them or do you consider yoruself a totally different product and different audience

Dev has answered this some posts above

I cant wait to do more research on Selfkey, but I need to hear this before I do:
How is Selfkey different than Civic?

Currently Civic is a mere email and phone number verifier -
SelfKey is an ID product used to do KYC in several token sales and fintech startups such as airswap, aditus, gatcoin etc.
Selfkey will deliver an iD wallet on January before our main round, Civic has not delivered any iD product, 6 months right after their token sale.
Also, SelfKey has a clear vision of how to manage ID data with minimum risk and exposure - the data is stored on users device never in a server nor in the Blockchain.
The Blockchain is used for transmission of single "ID-bits" like your age for example, but only after this data has been hashed and is therefore useless to any potential penetrator.
SelfKey has many partnerships which some of them are disclosed and other under nda’s to provide services in the selfkey marketplace -
the Technology is tried and true, it has been tested for 3 years now and is already being used in various Token Generation Events (see above)

Hello! Nice project, this could make the annoying KYC processes unnecessery or at least easier. Time to take a deeper look inside your project Smiley
Yeah , people need this.
I heard that Civic provide the KYC thing too, so if its true , then SELFKEY will be their competitor.
But Selfkey will provide many more features.

A comparison between both CIVIC and SELFKEY would be nice. I guess a lot of investors would like to know this to.

I agree, what are some features that are setting this project apart? it's great that there's competition though. gives credibility to the idea.

They already kind of compared it in here.. I see Selfkey as far more ambitious project, and i thought that Civic was an ambitious project already. And looking at Selfkey team, i have trust that they deliver.
