Its always interesting to reply on threads that have been running for some time. Ethereum has seen a big jump during April and is starting to recover a lot of the ground it lost during the recent correction. I always keep some Ethereum in my wallet not only because of its own value but because it is still the main currency to invest in other ICO. The really interesting thing at the moment is that ETH is moving higher relative to BTC each day.

I'd think it is depends on you're coins if you have get profit's from you're holdings then no need to buy ethereum because there are some coins that have a potential too for long term. Selling some things and investing in Ethereum is a good idea?
for Ethereum is perfect to have. besides, by collecting Ethereum, allows us to profit from the high price going forward. besides that with the price of Ethereum get an increase, giving us certainty for future profit. 
I sold my car and i bought ethereum when it was less than $300 on last June, it was one of my best investments, i did not sold at the ATH to be honest.

off course, The ethereum is the second , the first or the king is bitcoin. I think, you prefer to invest both, bitcoin and ethereum. You will get alot benefit of them.

I think it is a good decision you could make because Ethereum is the second cryptocurrency next to bitcoin. It is also the first successful and the pioneer in smart contract token. 
now the schedules ether adds to the price, so there is a suggestion that when you acquire the air now and hold it as a long-term investment, you can rely on profit

It's not a bad idea if you sell some things that is not really worth it for you and invest the money in crypto. Choosing ETH as an investment can be a good choice because this coin proved already to have a better value and it really increased through time. There are a lot of things that we can earn on crypto world and investing is just one factor that we can benefit a good profit.
In my opinion that good idea because Ethereum is the strongest altcoin now and in long term, and the price could be going up multiple times.
A rule of thumb in investing in cryptocurrency: only invest and buy what you can afford to lose. That being said this market is very volatile and very unpredictable if you did not learned it and dont have a proper strategy you will just lose your money. That applies to all of the methods on how to earn in cryptocurrency whether it by HODLING, ICOs or trading.
That is a good move, if you are not so sure of the coin you have now and want to sell it and buy ETH. ETH is good enough to make an investment, let alone the coin you have may be well below the ETH ranking. The important thing you should be ready to accept any risk later.

I also believe in ETH. I like this coin because it is fast, convenient, high tech and very promising. But I try to be flexible and don't want to be dependent on any asset.
Ethereum is sure a very good cryptocurrency, but you should admit: it will be very strange to sell some things in order just to buy ETH. Of course, you can get rid of the stuff that you do not really need and do it.
indeed to invest in eth is a good idea because in the future surely the price will rise high and that we invest into big profits. but if we sell something better not because it's better to use savings to be invested into cryptocurrency because the money is belom we use and want it increases so the right choice to be invested let alone eth is very promising.
I advise you now to buy Ethereum, because now is a good time for this: bearish trend is replaced by bullish and will grow in the next month or two.
