yeah, best altcoin is ethereum, bitcoincash, IOTA, NEO and best crypto currency is BITCOIN. that's a great idea. sell all altcoin except the best. and buy bitcoin and ethereum for long-term investments. currently the price of bitcoin and altcoin is falling. this is a good time to buy it.
The bitcoin is really strong as you say it is. The entire altcoins is connected to it in ascending or descent. Those who stay on bitcoin will probably get good profits
It's true that bitcoin is going downhill and it's great to make a purchase, and by selling altcoins to buy bitcoin it can be a very right decision.

look at it this way. we have bitcoin and we have altcoins. when bitcoin is going down altcoins also go down. so if you see the drops you should sell your altcoins.

Bitcoin memng worth to buy and in making long-term investment, but I think Altcoin more quickly generate profits if we are good at choosing Altcoin. it does not hurt to sell altcoin to buy Bitcoin, but for me personally. I prefer to seek short-term profits with altcoin trading.
Everyone have their own strategy when investing in crypto or any other stock market and from his statement it looks like he want to play quite secure because he is only suggesting to invest in top coin so that there will always be enough buyers when he like to dump them.
Bitcoin is one of the top coin with very high trading volume and adoption so bitcoin's price can't just crash like other scam tokens or will not have 100% pump/dump within 24 hour. I suggest to hold both alt and bitcoin and keep changing hands according to market move.

This is good. I will buy bitcoin and some good altcoins so that i will not put all my eggs in a basket. I hope bitcoin will continue its good runs for sometime in future so that i get a good profit.
Fact is, some Alts have outperformed bitcoin as an investment since Jan 2017 and most likely will continue to do so. 
nearly every single altcoin that has ever been created has outperformed bitcoin at some point. but that doesn't make them good. it just makes them good options for pumping. you can never pump bitcoin but it is super easy to pump a shitcoin. specially when they are worth so little. for example a shitcoin worth 1 satoshi can easily be pumped to 10 satoshi (outperforming bitcoin) in a week and then continue its death routine.
and yes they will continue to be shitcoins that get pumped and dumped. but the problem is they are getting pumped ...... AND.... dumped. you always forget this dump part of these shitcoins which is why you are losing money.
I was a huge alt coin fan for years but now i see it will all be diluted to shit with too many me too crap coins coming out daily.
I am moving back to bitcoin and a few older alts with proven long term dev teams.

That's a right decision,in altcoins,a high risks is always there. Unlike bitcoin,because it is proven,trusted by many people,and today is the best time of buying bitcoins for holding for a long term.
Don't sell your altcoins, because once bitcoin increade the altcoins increase too. You will get more profit.

who is bogart? it sure bitcoin worth for long term. how ever selling altcoins and invest to big coin is good idea but for me as an arbitrage user its more efficient to make fast trade and fast earnings. For a beginner to buy bitcoin and hold it is the simplest option of investing than to understand thousands of different altcoins and hope for a successful outcome of the events. But experienced traders and investors perfectly understand the situatio of altcoin and know which of them should be hold in order to get profit more than just from one bitcoin.
Yes it is true that bitcoin is very strong, and I think we do need to sell altcoins and to buy bitcoin, because I think this is a good opportunity.
when you are quoting someone you should also include a link. in any case the time to sell your altcoins has been months ago when they were in their respective bubbles and were worth a lot more. now every day that passes you lose at least 5% of your investment because the altcoin dump is still ongoing. anybody can tell you with their eyes closed that you should dump your altcoins ASAP.
as for investing in bitcoin, i would wait a little more because it doesn't seem to have found the bottom price where things reverse up so buying now may lead to some regrets in near future. but even if you buy now you can be sure that soon enough price will recover and go higher than the price you bought at.
