That's true. It's hard to know, but based on the information he provided at this time, every one dealing with coinbase will be afraid now to continue to. There were also few similar accusations with it.

Coinbase is overpriced anyways and takes way too long to get verified. Instead, use an alternative like LocalBitcoins where you can remain anonymous, or an exchange like Bittrex or Bitfinex.
