Red flag goes up when I see a thread where someone's selling 210 bitcoins for $12 a pop.  It's like, I guess they prey on the weak, but they need to try a li'l harder!

You can use an exchange or just doing the transaction with an escrow, I suggest BTCrow, bitcoin escrow service. This way you cannot be scammed, if a seller don't want to accept it it's more likely he have something to loose with an escrow. Don't buy anything without using escrow service even if you trust people.

This forum needs to have some REAL staff behind it...

I reported the thread at look at us, still here replying to this shit.

I vote for new staff that actually cares about the forum and it's users and not only about pushing their own agendas and businesses!

People are pretty damn stupid, I wouldn't do this if I couldn't scam.

But it's not some bunch of affluent businessmen who don't mind a few dozen bucks here & there

You're taking money from students, homeless people, crazy Ron Paul supporters with tinfoil hats whose best friend is their cat etc.
(not that scammers usually care, just saying)

What the fuck... Why am I being accused of being somebody I'm not? This is ridiculous. I'll be happy to go first with transactions, show me a few vouches from trusted members. Also you know you can change your address right?

That's a pretty deal with someone who is a known scammer & last posted on July 12th, less than half a minute.

How stupid do you think people are? What's your next excuse?

May well be a scammer, but, in his image, the received address is "1L5....", so your look up on blockexplorer is misleading.

http://blockexplorer.com/address/1L5Ht1tnCtkcQP3gWucgi6zWeAXig5JGba

81 steady interval transactions @ 7 btc total, probably the proceeds from his small 1 GPU mining operation.

Has never seen even 20 btc let alone 200

Maybe a pool admin can identify the address

Doesn't it seem a bit odd that just a week and a half ago pipppipcheerio was selling 200 coins at $13 and now he is vouching for this guy who is also selling 200 coins?!! http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=26266.msg327794#msg327794

Where are the mods why dont they lock this up before someone gets scammed by these crooks.

reported

Don't buy, Exo is a scammer working with pippicheerio (jakea1011)

Or most likely, is the same person

shall I put some popcorn on?

I'm already eating mine.

Guy could be legit...but why sell well below market and a legitmately confirmed scammer vouching for him....

I told him i'll send first when he gets someone that isn't a scammer to vouch for him cause I'll happily scoop up every coin for 12 bucks lol.

I tried buying from him since 12 a coin is a steal. Too good to be true imo. He wanted me to send first and completely ignored several messages where I asked about escrow. Seems fishy so I backed out.

All I'm gonna say.
