Better you do that. It allow edit without register. :-)

mine is here also. i was amazed about the simpleness of the setup in Win7.
You just need prolific USB to COM drivers and cgminer with command line
cgminer.exe -o http://xxx.com:8332 -u username -p password -S COMx --disable-gpu --failover-only
where COMx the COM port that Icarus is connected to (like: COM1,COM2, etc)
you should update wiki with this steps for windows users Wink

Just curious, for those that are buying them- what's the expected break even period for this device?

currently it's ~388 days. Using the following variables for the input of math.

cost =                           $480
speed =                        ~380MH for now: source; https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/fpga-development-board-icarus-discontinued-important-announcement-51371
Current difficulty =          ~1,591,075
BTC per day (100% pool)  ~0.24
BTC Price =                   ~$5.15
USD per day     =            @$1.236

=initial cost / gross per day
=480/1.236  =  388.35

Just curious, for those that are buying them- what's the expected break even period for this device?

With things like the block reward half coming and the BFL ASIC solution, nobody really knows.

You could say it is x months and it can turn out to be 10x months for example due to above unknown factors.

Mining is very risky all of a sudden Cry

Same applies to any solution right now, including GPUs etc.

Icarus using : TPS40193, there are some of them using: TPS40192. Maximum power supply capacity is greater than 12A. (by ngzhang)

Actually this does not answer my question. The BOM linked from this wiki is incomplete. I am sure the type of buck regulator was discussed in some threads but I cannot find the information...

in the wiki page i see only linux commands. Windows are not proper for Icarus?

No. the wiki page only linux commands because I only do the Linux stuff.

There are windows cgminer:
  https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/official-cgminer-mining-software-thread-for-linuxwinosxmipsarmr-pi-4110-28402

And a python application MPBM:
  https://github.com/TheSeven/Modular-Python-Bitcoin-Miner

Those 2 application works fine under both Linux and Windows.

What the buck regulators are used on the Icarus? What is their maximum output current per FPGA?

What you mean on " buck regulators are used on the Icarus",

You can find all information about Icarus here:
