I asked for the price, he said is 1BTC then sent it to me like "Thanks for your payment" with download link
I have scanned the file and is a virus !

Is there a way to catch the virus spreader and punish by law?

you can track the ip - locate the isp - find the account the ip was used with ... and have 'friends' in the business to teach this guys a lesson ...

if you dont have the above - he will get away with it all ...

#crysx

Will the police step in?

not for these small amounts of loss ... if he was running an exchange though Wink ...

police can step in if he has committed a crime in their jurisdiction ... but its highly unlikely ...

if he is habitual with these crimes - that 'could' be a different story ...

it is much easier to track someone that does this on a regular basis - than on a 'one off' ...

Good day = Come in suckers

First of all, i made a new account to protect my identity because some people are not going to like this. = this way you cant call the police or see my Fraudulent other activity as it would not be fair to Judge me

Second, i'm selling this because i need money. = So your basically paying for me to hack you

Only selling this to a few lucky ones out there. = trying to find Suckers is all

If you want more info (price, etc..), contact me in a pm.

And yes of course i'm willing to use Escrow. = SUCKERS they setup fake escrow service.... or in this case you get the program and pay thinking you have a legit program, However you loose either way as once opened !  its called slide of hand to make you focus on one area where the real trap is waiting in another.

Hunt them down!

Be aware! It's a scam!
********************
The first - this shit doesn't working.
The second - Attention! After a few hours after launch this "miner" on my PC, someone tried to crack my gmail account!

Thanks for telling us.

Please note that I've recently escrowed a transaction for OP (Mcoleman) with another user here who wanted to buy his 'miner'. It turned out to be a virus instead that would take over your miners and control your computer. Please beware of the user here.

this man send me one files on messagebox. he said free faster ethminer, it's virus too.

and obviously the fact it is posted on the marketplace rather the mining forum makes it even more suspicious (even though it is an idea to develop)

Good day,

First of all, i made a new account to protect my identity because some people are not going to like this.

yeah, some other dev will put a hit on you (may-be we should organize some dev crowdfunding   Grin)

come on!!!  we are civilized you know...  Grin
so unless you resell the kernel from someone else who will be probably a bit pissed off (I would...  Grin
but if it is the case, don't worry he will know  Grin)), there is no reason to hide your identity (I mean you standard account).

Usually, when someone has something real to sell, he uses his real name especially if he is a trusted member of the community. So the fact that you're hiding your name is complete non-sense and most likely a sign that you will scam people sending you money. (hope they aren't too stupid... )

I'll bet a good 1 sat, that you are just a scammer.

djm34 (using an alternate account but not selling anything from it  Grin)

Wow. A 75% performance increase. As a fairly experienced ethminer modder, I would be very wary of making this claim. Believe me, I've been there. Have you already let it mine against nanopool and see what it says about your hashrate? It will actually calculate the hashrate from submitted shares, not from counting how many threads you've launched in a second. Then again, I don't know and can't verify your track record, so you might just have done some magic there. If you need money, it seems you have the skills to find a decent job in GPU computing. Pays much better than private kernels  Grin
It's a 50% increase.

No, not against nanopool, but against suprnova.
Hashrate on suprnova is even higher than what ethminer reports.

It's not a mod i've done. Also the reason why i'm on a new account.

Wow again. Either you learn fast or you're reselling somebody else's  private kernel! See, you're selling it on ETH forums, but also asked a fair amount of n00b questions there. Please enlighten us!

As stated above, indeed reselling someone else his mod.

Interested?  Cool

how much are you selling it for? ...

will the kernel compile for linux? ...

#crysx

i also  want to know the binary for windows or Linux? i thought why are you make new account for this trade? give reason?

If I am correct he already did.

He is not the dev/author of the miner.

He is selling someone else's work.

That is if the miner is legit (virus free).

we have dealt with one another many times antonio8 - so trust me when i advise you to stay away from this ...

like a virus - ahem - pardon the pun ...
