I'll offer you 2 BTC for it, most future increase in value will be due to it's 1 BTC value and not the bar itself, so you'll double that, ie say that 1 BTC = $10,000 in 2017 then you've $20,000 in hand instead.
Thanks for your offer, but I'll probably just keep it. Thanks anyway c:

Out of interest, who sold you the bar at £3500

They should be named and shamed ....

Was just going to ask the same thing.. I say its worth £250-350 at most + the BTC on it.
It was quite a while ago, over a year so I honestly don't know who it was. I'll try and dig up who it was.

Don't beat yourself up OP. If you hold it for a decade it may very well be worth what you paid + the bitcoins on ít will be worth tens of thousands of USD!

Loose lips sink sigs!
If you think it will have more value later on why are you trying to sell it today AND break even on an inflated price?

I bought the bar itself for around £3,500. I then loaded 1BTC into it. So typically, I'm looking to either break even or make a little profit on it. But from looking at your offer, it seems too much for you - haha.

 Shocked
Yeah I know, it's hard to believe. It's a collectors item so hopefully it has more value later on.

Oh boy, didn't you do any research at all? Or did you thought this was 99.99% gold bar?

That would have been about the right price if it was...  The bar weighs 118g which is about $5k in gold today.

Na, I knew it wasn't 99.99% gold. I just thought it would be a lot more rare which would result in the value going up in the future - guess not.

That 1 Bitcoin you loaded into it could well be worth more than you paid for the bar in £ someday soon.  Buy some more BTC and load it up and use it for what it was made for... a savings bar!!!

Yeah, you're right. I'll just keep it and see if anything happens in the future with it. Who knows, it might go for a fortune someday Wink

Agreed...I have several of these bars already.  I was selling them for 1BTC each a while back..just keep it and use it.  I really doubt anyone would pay anything close to that.
