Are these games legally obtained, and do I have any chance of getting my account banned/game revoked?
I am only interested if legitimacy can be proved in some way, because I've had some unfortunate experiences in the past.

I have £420 in my steam wallet, it was a Christmas Present from my Grandad assuming I still use steam as he lives a good 4hours away from me in car.
Having not been able to ask steam to give my money back I decided the only way is to buy and sell games on steam and the only way to do so is gift it etc..
It's as legal as anything.
If you can contact steam about it, by all means do so, even if you do it before or after a trade.
Not sure what steam will say but by legal rights it's my money in the steam wallet and if I choose to sell the games on steam using my funds then I should be able to.
