Once again it seems Father Paul is more radical: http://www.thestatecolumn.com/articles/ron-paul-rand-paul/

Sounds backwards somehow:

I like Dr. and Senator Paul as much as the next guy, but I'm just not convinced we should give Boromir The Ring.

Definitely not. Boromir has issues (like being a professional politician.)

Bankers have created financial instruments called derivitives that account for Quadrillions worth of Dollars.  More than the planets GDP.  They trade them back and forth betting on the outcomes.  They then go around the planet getting nations to attach this derivitive debt to their taxes so they have someone dumping money into their gambline habits.

This is how the Bankers destroy the economies of the world and offer their Globalist plans as the solution.

Create the problem, offer the solution, milk the cows for all their worth, discard the cows.

Rinse, repeat.

Makes me wonder if Rand Paul knows that there is more Debt than Money and that money is derived from debt.

The Pauls are on the side of economic liberty. If any one here wants to protect the freedom to use new financial technology like bitcoin, I urge you to support the Pauls.

LOL.  That was epic.  Thanks.

It should be noted that the republican answer to the debt crisis is "CUT EVERYTHING", which essentially mean that anyone on social security, medicaid/medicare or food stamps would be fucked over and possibly die.

Cool story bro

I was unaware that people on food stamps are entitled to the production of others.

The end of the Soviet Union resulted in an end to the bread line, but it didn't result in mass starvation.

This has got to be some kind of geek metaphor-stretching record.

I agree.

As opposed to cut nothing and just keep raising the debt ceiling?

What need to be cut is Government, Wars, and Military Bases around the world.  And fake Derivative financial instruments wiped off the books with extreme  prejudice.  That and proper Government Oversight of the Fed would get things back on track.

So then, we send Frodo (Paul) up to Mount Doom...

Who can we have act as Gollum to jump in (out of his own self-interest) and bring it all down when Paul turns?

Fed Chairman?

Alan Greenspan. He used to be a gold standard supporting objectivist (Hobbit) but was corrupted by government power (the Ring).

Remember that even Frodo started to fall under the influence of The Ring, and almost didn't throw it in.

Frodo didn't throw it in, Gollum bit his finger off and fell into the volcano with the ring.

..making my point...

Well, I should clarify that I think the ring is excessive government power, not all government power, so reducing government spending and regulations to the point that the government is only providing and regulating public goods is equivalent to destroying the ring.

Destroying the ring cannot be done until we actually get to where we need to be to do so.

Until then, I vote for Frodo (Paul) to carry it there.

True, and frankly, I find myself suspicious of how Ron Paul might... compromise a little, were he President. But as long as the system exists, he's probably still the best man for the job. Until it's gone, he's the only "ringbearer" I can give any trust to.
