For the first two replies above, the telegram feature is pertaining its very own coin the TON coin. You cant save/store bitcoin or any crypto in telegram (idk if it will be a feature in the future) but you can buy and send it to btc address.

About its reputation, nothing yet i guess, but well, as long you used and trust telegram with your private messages, then probably you will too to the coin. About its' scalability, idk, it's still on its early phase. Check https://ton.org/

To access the feature, users first need to opt in via Telegram’s official Wallet Bot, which allows them to purchase cryptocurrency by bank card, exchange and transfer to other wallets. According to the company, they can then send Bitcoin (BTC) or Toncoin to other users by clicking on the “Wallet” icon in direct messages.

So it's about sending Toncoins, or purchasing BTC through the app and then sending the BTC to the user wallet if one has a registered bitcoin address. I don't understand why would you use a bot to do so when you can send your BTC directly from your wallet to an address you agree with your partner., probably when it comes to BTC you're going to either have to pay a USD invoice for the exchange, basically buying BTC in your friends' name, or allow the app to have access to your wallet, which is;t the smartest thing to do in my opinion.

I can see the utility for a tipping feature when you just want to spend a small amount as you tip random users but no way I would use this to send larger sums to somebody.

Honestly I don't understand how to send crypto via telegram, but I know telegram has been a crypto partner for a long time, in fact their relationship is going very well until now, but I try to browse some articles they say they launched an innovative feature, which allows a faster, safer way and practical, if telegram does launch crypto payments via telegram, this is very easy for us, just one press, I will find out this easy way.

I'm not sure how does it works that you can send cryptocurrency through Telegram or how their projects work but I don't trust sending my Bitcoin to any third party app whether it is in Telegram or other kind of app, for me I still choose to store my Bitcoin to hardware wallet and do the transaction on it.

I am not sure about the reputation of that project but I wouldn't definitely sending my coins there.

I don’t know how it works, but if you need to send your bitcoins to the address indicated by the bot before paying, then this is a custodial wallet. "not your keys, not your money"
The most pro-polar token for settlements between people is TRC20USDT, if you need anonymity, then this is Monero. For quick calculations, it is better to choose other coins.

Telegram, one of the trending apps today, with millions of users interacting with each other every month, is quite useful for the tools and security it offers.

I usually use telegram to be in various BTC groups and have various notification bots on various platforms. That is why a recent tweet from @ton_blockchain caught my attention, where he commented on payments in cryptocurrencies through Toncoin (TON)

I will test how effective the bot is, and see if it meets my expectations, draws attention, what do you think?
