I'm using Electron Cash
That explains your problem: Electron Cash is NOT a Bitcoin wallet, it's a Bitcoin Cash wallet.

You can fix this in several ways, I recommend you download Electrum.
In Electron Cash, export the private key for 1KmQfQKXemUtDkJt9hN6w8Si984CM7JUTb. DO NOT show the private key to anybody!
Install Electrum, create a new wallet > Standard wallet > Use public or private keys > enter your private key into Electrum.

After this, your 0.044 BTC should show up in your Electrum wallet again.

Note that you got lucky: if you mess up Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash when depositing to an exchange, it's very likely you'll lose your money. Be careful not to mix up different chains again!

Thanks for helping LoyceV! Great explanation.

Weissbescheid if you have any issues with Kraken in the future please post about it on our Bitcointalk thread and we'd be more than happy to help.

Today my wallet tells me "Requests date 2017-12-15 11.27, amount 0.0440 Status expired, Balance 0.
The transaction was confirmed a month ago, address 1KmQfQKXemUtDkJt9hN6w8Si984CM7JUTb contains 0.044 BTC.
Confirmed Bitcoin transactions don't expire. That only leaves your wallet as a possible problem. Let's start with the obvious: which wallet do you use?
