In Crpto everyone expects things to happen yesterday.

OMG My transaction is taking 4 hours.

Try sending Fiat from one account to a different account of a bank and see how long it takes.   Roll Eyes

things usually takes alot longer for bitcoin when there aren't many miners and depending on transaction fees.

last time it took 3 days and I was in panic but it eventually worked out.

If you are concerned I would recommend speaking to people on this forum that can help accelerate your transaction, they will most likely do it for free for you. It will be down to the fee that has been taken for the transaction, nothing to worry about but someone may be able to accelerate it for you. But I can assure you that 4 hours is nothing to worry about.

I'm sorry if this is a little off topic, but how do I know my transaction size?

When I look here: https://btc.com/stats/unconfirmed-tx it says that best transaction fee is 40 Satoshis/byte

How do I calculate the size of a transaction I want to create?

I believe it's the hashrate some of which got shifted to BCH mining and the other declined due to the fear of S2X that was (going) to happen yesterday which went dormant. There are users here on the forum whom you can ask to accelerate your transaction, one of my preferred people is bl4nkcode.
You may also try viabtc's transaction accelerator but chances are least to get your tx accelerated there.

It's a normal things. Your transaction is still pending because there are transactions's fee that cost more than 12$ and the miners are processing it , they're not free at all to take a look at yours. That's why.

Guys, regular services for crypto transactions are becoming obsolete. New services like Mywish are coming to replace them. It's based on smart contracts, that are safer, faster and more convenient.

bitcoin core now delete transactions from mempool if they reach the 2 weeks old (by default). Let's wait if your transaction is confirmed or if it will be deleted

You can find some services where you can pay to have your transaction processed.
