Bitcoin falls like around 5-10% and people are already calling it bear season.
OP, I believe that this was predicted by some people in BTC board that it will dip in 45-42k. It's just the normal correction that we all experience almost like every month. Just buy it out before we recover back again in 50k.

After watching what happened to the bitcoin price today, the price made another correction but we should not worry as the price now can back to $43k. So we need to have a positive mind that the bitcoin price will recover and lift this week. We are already beginning this week, so there will be many chances for the price to increase. Hopefully, people do not lose hope in their bitcoin and will buy more bitcoin if they want at this price. The situation will be back normal and once that happens, the bull run will come again.

This recent dump for me is not that huge, but if you are a trader who bought the peak around $48,000 before the dump it's sick.
As we all know that we had a massive liquidation recently, especially for altcoins. But I believe that crypto OGs are still chilling, while weak-handed are panicking.

As per Binance exchange, the 24 hours low of bitcoin is $42,500, so what's next?

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but it's already 11:10 GMT on the 21st of September, 2021 and the price of bitcoin is hovering around $ 43,380 according to Bitcoin Units Converter.

The price goes up, then down, then up or down (or even sideways) ...  But it hasn't "crashed" ...  Are you sure it wasn't just a pothole in the road?

The market seems to be bleeding now, Bitcoin is only down by 8% at the moment but major altcoins are down double digit.
https://coinmarketcap.com/

Will this be the start of the bear season?

We haven't witnessed a long and major dump this year yet, so seeing this might cause some panic especially on the altcoins holders as they are the ones who will significantly be affected since we know what would happen to altcoins if bitcoin struggles.

As per Binance exchange, the 24 hours low of bitcoin is $42500, so what's next?

This is the thing with Investors.

Back in May 2021, we had a Bitcoin price drop of about -51% for about 71 days, and then investors were saying that this is the end of this year Bull market until it went up again and for this drop, even if we take it back to since 06 September 2021, it was only dropped about -22% and just for 18 days and here we are again thinking it is the start of the bear season. The market will always correct.

To know what it is we have to wait and see. Grin

As of now there is not much dump on the prices as you predicted but yeah still there are chances since we haven't seen a huge dump in the recent days.

This crash or dump is so different from previous dumps because bitcoin break the resistance of 42000 but altcoin did not dump at high rate which us clear sign that now investor are not in selling mode . This is very good sign for altcoin and can go high once bitcoin stable.
I think the dump is also connected to stock market dump. It happened before but correction follows soon. As far as bigger picture goes it looks bullish and looks like BTC is preparing for new ath at the end of the year.

When you say its a huge dump, isn't it supposed to be 30k$ in price value? moreover, the market always unpredictable.
Besides, I've seen a lot of influencers who made a content about this matter and yet their prediction and explanation mostly
is not happening actually 100% even to the closest one. So, I don't know why did you say its a huge dump? please, enlighten me..

Yeah it looks like a bear season and everyone talk about this big dumps everywhere. But as long as i'm working in this crypto space, everything that mainstream, the opposite will happen next.
So i'm not gonna lose hope with what people and media tell. I will still hold and buy more if i have more money to invest because when people already talk about dumps, usually the market will "revive".

It's not a bear season, but even if it was I don't really care because I'm a yield farmer. I chase the highest yields and earn profit that way, regardless of what the market is doing. Right now I'm getting good rewards on spookyswap and ref finance. Alpaca has some interesting grazing farms too.

I don't think this is the start to come into bearish season where actually we are still on Ber months which for us this is a good months to see crypto to increase specially on the month of December. If this would be the start of bearish season, then I'm wrong of my observation that bear season always occur during summer time.

I think the reason the market doesn't go down is a huge dump because the market will go up again this is a new sign of correction. If the market goes down it's a good time to invest because if the price goes up later it will double there is nothing to panic about as the crypto market rises and falls the bull run will come up very soon so investing in the present is the right time to hold on.

I agree with the opinion that this isn't a huge dump rather just a correction. I'm in the position when you have extra money to invest this is the right time to get some altcoins you want especially from the top 10 list in the market. I have seen this coming when everyone talking about this correction on social media a few days ago. Now it's our turn whether we want to take some risk or not but as I said there will be no more huge dump after the bull run we had a few months ago looks like we gonna reach as low as $30,000 if ever the price of BTC will go down further.
although there is a decline there is a fairly strong adoption when this correction occurs. This allows the market to recover in a short time.
we have seen several corrections occur in the market after ATH is reached. and there is always a good market fix. it is a moment for traders to make a profit. as long as they don't get caught up in the correction that's happening.

Huge dump means not totally crash. Maybe this onr is considered as correction. Yes its partially needed to have a good market outcome. Everybody who has panickinh right now will definitely gonna lose a lot of money. It is really shocking to see how many are already got scared of. If you trust your tokens and coins then just hold it. The market is not always on the upper limit, we must be patience also when it goes down. Well if you are not a trader then dont bother, only investors will understand that there is really nothing to get worried about.

Well, it looks like the Evergrande effect will not only impact crypto, but also other stock investments. however, if the price continues to push like this, the potential to see a price below $40k is even greater. In fact, in some bitcoin price speculations, the pattern of the current price decline, if it continues to decline, could reach a price of $37k or even $32k. however, I hope that the bitcoin price stays steady and is no more than $40k. it also makes quite a number of people worry about their assets, causing panic sells.

yes this can be the start of a major bear and its okay i guess ?  because we havent seen one for such a long time .
what we saw all the time are small dump and holders are exposed to it so i dont think this new dump can shocked them and making them panic sell .
since were taking bears here , the next price of btc can be lower than 4.2 and it could go 4k flat or below  .

Will this be the start of the bear season?

I agree with most people in this thread, that we are still seeing a normal correction at the moment and no major dump, in the end we are still dealing with cryptos and price fluctuations of 10% per day are not that unusual here. I think the reason for this price movement is that whole evergrande Story in China. If there are more real estate companies that will be in big trouble soon then we will most likely see another downward movements at all markets not only in crypto.

It's too soon to say if we are going into a bear season. I hope we are not. The price had been flat for a while after we had a few positive weeks and I was seeing many articles saying that bitcoin would go to $100k. China is such a large country that any negative news could be enough to swing the price in either direction. The Evergrande situation is causing some panic right now but an 8% loss is not really catastrophic or anything. I am optimistic that we can recover from this before the end of the week.
