Sorry Gleb Gamow, you are banned from posting or sending personal messages on this forum.
Do not post multiple times in a row, eg. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14622465 . Instead, edit your post. (1 day)

You know how unstable I am and all. 1 DAY! That's like forever. I'm seriously thinking about killing myself.  Cry Cry Cry

Seriously, a simple PM from a mod would've been more than enough to put me back on my paper.

FWIW, I firmly believe that Chantha Lueung et al. may have had an active role in getting me banned. I've been working on his "ring" for over 24 hours now and he knows it.

Seriously, mods, next time just PM me if I get outta line. I've never been an asshole (I don't believe) to any mods, etc., on this forum.

That said, I'll serve out my ban, but will kill myself next time it happens.  Cool Cool Cool

Later, guys.

PS: I won't be evading this ban via this or any other account under my control, but may PM via this account. Please advise/PM me if that's not allowed (PMing).

In the example, that is a rediculous number of repeat posts, I counted an initial five from that first post.
I think it is quite lucky you were only banned for a day (that being said, this is not mentioned in the rules)!

IIRC I did warn you about this in the past...

I would say however that I do not agree with this rule, especially when there is no paid signature involved. Posting multiple times does have clear benefits as it makes it very clear that you are making multiple points in relation to a particular topic. Making one post and then a subsequent post immediately after helps empanthesize the second post and would be beneficial to someone making a series of points concluded by a strong/important point.

Having a few consecutive posts every now and then when you don't have a paid sig isn't a big deal, but PG/GG does it habitually. The issue with this is that it unfairly bumps topics (like bumping a topic more than once per 24 hours) and it spams "watchlist", "show unrelad posts since last visit", etc.

Thanks, everybody, for coming to my defense, but I believe theymos is correct, thus will correct my error when I return.

Thank you, themos, for weighing in.

BTW, is that fishing trip still on next week between you, I and several mods? (humor for those thinkin' that I'm a BCT ball cupper  Kiss)

I'm glad this came to a good conclusion. You do still have a strong alt account that you can use in the meantime.

I believe the rules state that all my alts are banned including this one, but allowed to post in META (here in this section). I have no intentions of breaking the rules, thus being permanently banned and have theymos and I's fishing trip cancel.  Shocked

Take a break man. I imagine that a lot is going through your head right know but I don't really know what to say to comfort you. Most of the time I enjoy reading your posts, but you really do post too much and serial posts in a forum might not be the best place to express yourself. Have you ever considered getting your own blog in which you'd be able to post freely?

Why would I want my own blog so that I can talk to myself when I have this forum so that I can talk to m... GULP! Dear Jehovah what have I become?  Grin

Indeed. While it is technically 'against the rules', we don't usually punish people which aren't signature campaign participants for breaking this rule; at least not until there have been multiple cases of abuse.

Come on, you got off easy because you're Gleb - admit it! Wink
Very easy. Such short bans are not a common sight.

I would strongly encourage the moderation team to increase the consecutive post limit to above "one" especially when there is not a clear case of paid post padding and to be very liberal when enforcing this rule, especially with those without a paid signature.
There's no need to do that. Unless you have a habit of making consecutive posts, you will not get punished for making them occasionally (if you are not a signature campaign participant or have no other incentive to make them).

Condolences Gleb. Use the opportunity to go outside get some air Smiley. I have a feeling this will backfire for that Lueung character.

The multipost rule if applied literally to your posts gets a bit ridiculous. You would end up posting 3-mile long walls of text.

A one day ban is essentially a slap on the wrist and is essentially a stern warning not to break this rule. The majority of bans are at least 3 days (with many much longer). If you ask nicely it is possibly that BadBear and/or theymos might lift your ban early (if your ban has not already expired).

I would say however that I do not agree with this rule, especially when there is no paid signature involved. Making one post and then a subsequent post immediately after helps empanthesize the second post and would be beneficial to someone making a series of points concluded by a strong/important point.

On the other hand, someone with a paid signature has a clear incentive to make multiple posts, often times responding to posts that was not directed towards them and that has nothing to do with them in order to pad their post count.

I would strongly encourage the moderation team to increase the consecutive post limit to above "one" especially when there is not a clear case of paid post padding and to be very liberal when enforcing this rule, especially with those without a paid signature.

Thanks, bud. I'll accept the ban in the spirit of the rule(s), with no need to ask for favors from any mods.

Gleb I was wondering when this was going to happen and I'm not surprised in the least that it finally did--not that I'm complaining and I've never reported your consecuposts.  You got caught in a crackdown.   SebastianJu did as well a little while ago for the same thing.

Like I said, a simple PM warning would've suffice for my spammin' ass. Needless to say, it was a scammer who yelled loud enough to get me banned, ergo I'll fuck him regardless. HAHAHA
