I didn't accept the cloud mining contracts, that's my point. I really want to take them to court over this.. but they're in France, I'm in the United States, and as far as i can tell those laws didn't apply until recently. Idk maybe someone here can help me out because i have limited access to the internet..
Maybe you can gang up with a group of other victims and take them to court but I am certain it won't be easy to apprehend those scammers. First of all the main reason they use BTC for transactions is so that it's hard to track them down should they decide to scam people and the victims try to follow it up

Why did you accept the bloody cloud mining contracts in the first place?
You sent them 3.55 BTC, that's the exact amount they should have refunded you not in the form of mining contracts.

Since the value has grown, I doubt they will even refund you your BTC. If they failed to do back then, what makes you think they can raise BTC worth $162,000 right now?

Has anybody bought hardware from this company? Does anybody know if they manufacture any of their own hardware or are just a retail seller?

This is a review I left on trust pilot..
They never returned the money to me via order 8484. support.sesterce.com answered the cancellation of production at Innosilicon in January 2020, and the money can be returned to me in September 2020. Although I submitted a request for a refund in October 2019.
What a big joke! How do they expect you to wait for you own money for almost a year and yet it was not your fault that they fucked up with their unprofessional service?
Are they going to pay you more fine in damages that they will have caused you over the course of time until they repay you?

Is Sesterce a scam!!!!!!?Huh
Ok, Sesterce said they will fix either my cloud mining account, or refund me in full... if i remove the scathing review that i had here before...
Hmmmmmmm..🤔
So I removed it, now let's see where this takes us.. Now remember in June 2019, I paid sesterce 3.55 BTC for 8 Grin miners, which I never recieved and Sesterce wouldn't refund me for a FULL YEAR, but when they did they only refunded me in cloud mining contracts at the value of my fiat purchase amount, not the 3.55 BTC that I sent to them. At that time in 2019, 3.55 BTC was worth about $28,000, now it's worth $198,800.. 😳.. The 688TH/s that I recieved in lieu of my 3.55 BTC has only earned 0.65 BTC since June 2020😪, which at purchase cost is about $5,000, but now is worth about $36,000, so technically i should get a remaining refund of 2.9 BTC, which is $23,000 in 2019, or $162,000 right now.. right?
It's complicated 🤯, but here's the point, Sesterce owes me 2.9 BTC..

I'm not a noob 🧐 to crypto, I've been investing and trading in crypto since 2014, I have had cloud mining contacts before, and lost A LOT of money with them. I am shell shocked 😱 at just the mention of cloud mining. So you could imagine my surprise when I found out Sesterce was only refunding me in cloud mining contracts... PTSD is real..!!!

As I said let's see what Sesterce is going to do.

THIS VERY POST RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW IS EITHER GOING TO MAKE OR BREAK SESTERCE AND DEPENDING ON HOW THEY TREAT ME WILL DETERMINE WHETHER THEY GET ANY MORE CLIENTS FROM THIS POINT FORWARD..

IT'S A MATTER OF RISK ASSESSMENT ON THEIR PART, IS IT WORTH IT THEM TO DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY THE 2.9 BTC THAT THEY OWE ME 😇, WHICH WILL MAKE ME STOP LEAVING DAMAGING ☠ REVIEWS LIKE THIS AND THEY CAN KEEP ON GETTING NEW SUCKERS🍭🍭🍭 TO FALL FOR THEIR PONZI SCAM..?? OR ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE ANOTHER LONG EXCUSE 💩🚽 FOR A REPLY TO THIS (LIKE THEY DID BEFORE) AND TAKE A CHANCE ON NOT REFUNDING ME CORRECTLY 🤬..Huh
LET'S SEE...🤔

IT AIN'T NO FUN WHEN THE RABBIT'S 🐰 GOT THE GUN 🔫, IS IT?? 💩💩💩.. Yeeaahhh beeaches..🏝🏝🏝..!!!

Everybody keep an eye on this review thread and I will keep you posted.

Bitech Group or Sesterce have been know to be a pain in the A** for many of their customers. Just look around in the scam accusations board, you will see so many complaints about delayed deliveries, lack of proper communication from support, delivery of equipment far from what was described etc

I wonder why one would still continue using their service. They are so shady and unreliable.

I purchased an Obelisk GRIN miner which ended up being cancelled.  I paid $1800 up front and was told I had to wait until October 26th once their fairy tale insurance paid them back for the miners and was assured I would get my refund at that point.  It's October 27th and I haven't heard anything from my recent attempts to contact your company.  Shady as fuck.  I emailed earlier this week to make sure their timing hadn't changed.  No response.  Emailed day of multiple times and this morning.  They are obviously thieves.  I wouldn't recommend anybody use Sesterce.

Check my post here (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.52218936) They said, obelisk has yet to reimbursed when in fact they already did (https://i.vgy.me/adij0d.png). If it was the fault of their insurance, I don't think they would be blaming obelisk.

You have the same prob as MAIK68 from the thread there which got resolved. I suggest to do the same thing that they did as much as possible. here's an archive of that thread (https://archive.md/WbuWE). Note that posts after the said date won't be covered.

You can start by opening a scam accusation.

For each person in this thread,

I introduce myself I am Youssef El Manssouri CEO of the Sesterce group and I would like to clarify a few points directly from myself:

- First of all, on the problems of delays and order cancellation, please be aware that we are sincerely sorry. But very clearly, you should know that in this market manufacturers make the law, as distributors we are the buffer between customer dissatisfaction and manufacturers' lack of rigour. We do everything to ensure the security of your investments and keep you informed, but be aware that even as a direct partner we have changes from manufacturers on the delivery date of batches or their stocks and that we have no power over them, the market is unbalanced and so it is. Our situation is very delicate and in view of the profitability of the miners we can hardly complain about the manufacturers because the demand is high. We really try to do our best to satisfy all customers but sometimes we can't go against the market.

About that my team create an article here : https://support.sesterce.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035875614-Disclamer-about-miners-production-delays

- Then on our accusations of SCAM, know that we are a team of more than 25 people on 3 sites around the world, that in defaults of the difficulties we have on the market of the distribution of miners due to the conditions of this market and the problems of the manufacturers, we are also specialized in cloud mining and consulting.

You will find research analyses on mining on our blog:
https://www.sesterce.com/blog

As well as videos of our team on our youtube channel:
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCzlSsmtj2EJ--Dg_UrKbhnw

We are also present on several meet-ups, the latest of which is in association with our partner Binance in Marseille, France:
https://www.instagram.com/p/B3CeINuDBkY/

Please note that we are delighted to welcome you to our offices at 50 Avenue des Caillols 13012 Marseille, France:
http://bit.do/fbqqq

And finally you will find here the Sesterce team :
https://www.sesterce.com/about

- To continue on the accusations of false comments, know that this is not a practice that we support, and know that many competitors are willing to do many things to destroy our reputation and especially this kind of thing, we are not the only victims of this and even more so in the mining world other legit actors find themselves in the same situation.

- For problems with your orders, problems with the goods received or other problems, please contact our support team directly at [email protected] they will be happy to take your request.

- Stopping the distribution of B2C miners would be the easiest thing for us, the margins are very small and with the impact on the group's image and the support cases and market to deal with we are largely losing out. But in our approach to open up the mining world it seems impossible to do this at any price and we do not want to leave this community in the hands of scammers. That's why we continue to fight for your investments.

Finally, you should know that we are a growing startup and that we are aware of the issues and our problems, but we work very hard on a daily basis to respond to everyone's requests and problems and deliver the best service. In a market with so many SCAMs and people who neglect their customers, it is very hard to try to treat their customers properly and we make sure every day to improve on that, so please take all this into consideration and help us to improve your support cases.

Thank you again for the time you have allowed to read this message.

Sincerely,
Youssef El Manssouri.

The miner I am looking for is only held by them (its second hand and price is very nominal). I contacted there support regarding these threads, they saying it's only one of there customer who is doing this on different forums.
They will check with PayPal for chargeback before I place the order.

Didn't even know they had paypal, not listed here What are the payment methods?

and I recommend to check that paypal matter yourself. The company can lie and come up with excuses, so better don't trust their word that much.

thanks for the feedback.

Sesterce team saying they will very soon introduce PayPal and once they have on there site, I will place the order.

Its our hard earned money we have to take care of it ourselves.

I think as a consumer some responsibility lies on my shoulder also. Before placing an order one must ensure that he can get his money back in case of a dispute.
Its a vital part of the research which many consumers are missing.
In that case you should also read through the terms of the payment service that you use, because in some cases there are exceptions where a payment service can reject any claim of a chargeback. A lot of financial services aren't too fond of seeing their platform be used to conduct crypto related transactions, whether it's buying/selling cryptocurrencies, hardware, paying for goods and services, etc.

In a nutshell; make sure you don't break any terms. It significantly increases the chances of you getting your money back. Even better, just avoid dealing with unkown sites. Go straight to the source if you want to buy into mining hardware.

whats your policy sesterce regarding Chargeback and refund? Can sesterce representative comment on that?
Reading through PayPal's (or any other service) terms will help you out a great deal.

Did anybody applied for charge back? If you have paid through legitimate source like PayPal nobody can run away with your money.

Can somebody confirm they got there money back after initiating charge back or everyone here just supporting one man claim?

I actually wonder if anyone managed (or in the future will be able) to successfully request a crypto related refund from PayPal, because they haven't been too keen on businesses who don't specifically have an agreement with PayPal and for that reason are whitelisted. If they haven't been whitelisted, I doubt you'll be able to get anything back from PayPal.

What you CAN do in case you have a bank account linked to your PayPal account and PayPal isn't cooperating, is to request a refund from your bank.

I found same thread on Reddit also and likewise the initiator is no more to comment. His account is deleted but not his post. I wanna place an order to this company for a second miner, I am double-minded because of such threads.
If i were you i wouldn't bother at all. There are so many complaints about them coupled with fake "good" reviews from random newbie accounts. try looking for a better legit company that isn't shady and a pain in the butt.
