There are many shady wallet available in smartphones not only these wallet that you mention, most of them are new wallets.

Newbies should be careful on choosing where to store their coins, because some of them are easy to convince and not doing a proper research.

So stick to popular wallets that most crypto users use, and always check how legit it is.

Not only them but tons of them are being downloaded. That is why I only download wallets that already are established and has a good feedback and reputation.  We can't really trust just "any" crypto wallets even if it was on  the list of google playstore.

You can actually check in here for some lists of crypto wallets that you may trust to download in your mobile phones with good feedbacks.

For mobile wallet, I prefer to use Trust Wallet and Imtoken. Both of these mobile wallets have been trusted by many people and I think until now it will remain safe. We need to be careful when choosing a mobile wallet because it concerns the security of our funds

There are many complains regarding funds lost and lost access to coins from these wallets and there are many more, do not use wallets that aren't popular and keep your keys safe, GoodLuck.
I really do not store anything in my mobile and you need to be cautious about the software and applications you install as they can track and record everything including your pictures and personal things, so make sure no one do anything foolish and with the halving the scammers will be looking for ways to hack the coins through any means and everyone needs to be careful.

It's good to always read reviews about apps online before downloading. The reviews don't lie. Although some do fake it but you will see some genuine outpour of feedbacks there. Use it .

What always drive me crazy is how many crypto users aren't aware of where to store their money, considering they are conscious that bitcoin is money, and how they can easily be redirected to fake wallets. When i asked some of them, they all told me that bitcoin is not a bank and they know that their money won't ever be restored if lost.

Do never use any app related to your bitcoins unless you are fully sure about. Bitcointalk is the best source of knowledge, please use it to verify all your crypto softwares. That's all what i can say.

The safest thing to do is only use trusted and reputable wallets and you are safe just ignore those new wallets that is popping out. But be careful some scammers are copying popular wallets and will steal your private keys and other sensitive data. So if you download make sure to verify the source, google playstore is not really trusted they allow fake and malicious apps to be uploaded on their platforms.

Some people need android wallets, I don't need it, not yet. Maybe one day when I will be able to spend them,
but until then I will keep them safe in desktop wallets, official wallets if possible.
For long-term holders desktop wallets are the best. Once you send coins there you keep them safe and they
wait there for future.

There are lots of good cryptocurrency wallets for android platforms available that you can use that are really secure. But you have to understand that safety relies on us as well, we have to be careful about how we make use of our wallets and the kind of information we share to the public. Apart from that you have to be careful with the kind of applications and browser extensions that you download to your computer. Even if you're being careful, there are some applications that are there as spyware to steal your information, and you have to be careful with unsolicited emails.

Trust wallet is a good wallet and I have been making use of it since I started investing and trading cryptocurrency. It's secure and you should activate the two factor authentication to make it to be more secure.

We users should be careful with these wallets especially on playstore and it's very neccessary to read the reviews on those wallets before downloading. Also, it is better safe than sorry, thus using only the wallets which have been confirmed to be trustworthy by a good number of users in the crypto space, another thing is, all the good wallets are prominent or popular and I think they are enough already. Lastly, I'm always in agreement with what most people have said in the crypto space, which is, any wallet without private key shouldn't be used.

There are many shady wallets in crypto space today, wallets I've never heard from anyone or reviews online, you guys need to be careful when going on playstore to download, remember some have backdoors hidden in them, they will give users recovery seed they already have control over,

1. Totalcoin Bitcoin wallet
2. Mercuryo Bitcoin wallet
3. Bitnovo

There are many complains regarding funds lost and lost access to coins from these wallets and there are many more, do not use wallets that aren't popular and keep your keys safe, GoodLuck.

The only bitccoin wallet that I've been using so far was ELECTRUM only, aside from this nothing else.
But if you can afford to buy ledger nano is much more good but as long as you don't have budget for ledger nano, you can
use Electrum or some on which you think is safe just do check them first before trying to use em.

It's not only in play store only, they are also in form of firefox extensions, some web wallets but the main thing is for people to know and use only trusted sites. They are not that safe also IMO but at least are better than new and trusted sites. They should do their own research before choosing wallet since its about storing funds.
Firefox extensions aren't safe to begin with, this is why its not safe to leave funds on metamask wallet add-on, the problem with PC browsing is Trojans and highjacking viruses are right there waiting for you to make a click, mobile wallets are far superior than desktop wallets in terms of security

Malwares and viruses in android is also possible so no matter what device you hold on whether a PC or a smartphone, risks are same. We have already seen clipboard virus affecting PC but here is the same type of virus for android as well: https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/android-app-cryptocurrency-fake-clipper-bitcoin-scam-money-a8773376.html .

Mobile wallets are good in terms of convenience but that differs from person to person but in terms of security I don't think they are different from desktop wallets (as you are saying) .

It is strange that we have Trust wallet, Blockchain wallet, Coinbase wallet but there are still a lot of people who choose fraudulent wallets to send money into it.  I think everyone should find out the wallet information carefully before sending money into it.  But it is still best to send money to wallets that are used by many users, it will be less risky than depositing money in unpopular wallets.  The decentralized market is always rife with scams, being careful to be the top priority to avoid being scammed.

Useful information, thanks for sharing, unknown crypto wallets can come from any sources, scammers maybe, I recommend finding the official source of any wallet and download from there, all popular wallets like trust or myether wallet has official websites

Thanks for the warning OP actually I never heard any of this exchanges mentioned. If I were to users dont just download any wallet from Playstore and just simply deposit any funds if you think the wallet has good reviews. Temember Google Playstore reviews can ve manipulated by dummy accounts and leave good feedback.

To validate the legality of certain wallet app, there must be many validstions from other people and not just from one side, scammers are increasing and they do know how to make you trust them and they will hit you like a lightning.

Newbies should try to do research on anything crypto before jumping in, the first time I started using crypto wallet I choose bitpay and copay based on reviews, fake wallets is something you don't want to get involved with, gathering coins in the wallet thinking that it's safe and one day everything just disappeared, do better research before making any decisions

Most of these wallets have no real presence and thus, very risky to use. There are several situations of people losing their valuables and assets to crypto scams who initially appear innocent and bid their time before they strike leaving behind sad tales. It is much easier and better to use the trusted wallets from the bigger and more stable players in the industry. At least with these ones, you are guaranteed safety, reliability and security.
well, therefore, we must be careful when using a wallet that has a good reputation as much as possible, such as the myetherwallet wallet for cryptocurrency that has an erc20 basis or uses a trust wallet.
